I've noticed this many times. I think when your persona and natural activities like, laughing, walking, talking is all tailored as a per the manual - I think the genuineness is lost. That's why you would see many people develop a certain way of talking in corporate offices and that becomes their way as they feel they are manager or Associate or doing a job even outside the office also in a casual setting.
