Americans on average make $13k more than Canadians. They will be fine than the average Canadian. They will just experience the Canadian cost of living if theh purchase Canadian imports😂😂
Well what about the heavy oil we buy from Canada. You may say no big deal because America is the largest producer of oil on the planet. True but the problems is we produce light sweet crude. We then sell that oil on the open market. Most of our refineries can't refine light sweet crude so we have to import heavy crude. If you don't buy it from Canada you still have to buy it from someone. Canada will no doubt impose tariff on their heavy crude exports to America and increase the price of gas.
He's gone... or at least on his way out, we'll soon have a new Liberal leader and we'll most likely be at the polls before summer. What more do you want?
Our dollar is so stinking low right now that the tax is almost insignificant in comparison
Americans will be fine when trump reduces taxes. It is the Canadians that will suffer if tariffs are in fact enacted.
Tariffs are taxes that the consumer pays. It's a government tax grab. And no state and federal income tax won't be removed or even reduced.
Thank you !
The only taxes Trump is going to lower id for the mega wealthy.
@@ps17747 Tariffs are taxes.
All tariffs, taxes and duties are paid by the buyer, not the seller. Americans will pay every penny.
Do we even tax all the goods that come overseas with carbon tax during the past that we implemented it?
Canada is poorer than the poorest American state.
We have zero leverage
Lol no Canada is poorer than only 1 state. California. Which has the equivalent GDP of the 47 other states combined. Lol

It's ok tariffs/sanctions don't work. Look at Russian gas, now India sells it to Europe 😂😂
Here’s how….
Not at all!!!!
Just like all policies, there will be always cons and pros. I have the feeling that the emergence of automitization and AI prefer isolated markets.
