Just found this right now and I'm glad to have found this jewel. Although the original tone is completely different, this is just magnificently performed. This shows a more sorrow and somber side to Dylan's song. I just don't have the words to describe the vocals. Really bloody good stuff.
This rendition is so beautifully haunting. Something in it takes me back to an unclear memory. The chord changes are mesmerizing. I heard Judy Collins do this song back in the sixties. It took hold of me and has never left. I believe Connie's version invokes ancient places and times.
This is sensational. I've listened , learned from Bob. But this cuts as deep into the soul aS HE INTENDED. Your voice is miliflous to this., Thank you. Connie. Song bird of peace.

@Connie Gordon Music Ledgendery song, Many thanks for you`re amazing and beautiful rendition of a timeless classic. It is as relevant today as it was when originally released. The lyrics are simply amazing. You have voice of an angel, which should be shared with the world. 🙏
Hounting song, hounting version. Was my beloved when I played with guitar in past when hiking in 1971. I heard first time not B. Dylan but concert version by Jose Feliciano and it was send by Radio Caroline. Still have this recorded then in magnetic tape. I would say all versios are hardly comparable but that concert version by J Feliciano sounds like that.
i played your song with bob dylans playing about 30 seconds off kilter and it the call and response of you two felt like a religious experience. Absolutely beautiful voice you have and wonderful talent playing! This was amazing!
good version! very cool to hear a current musician tackling quality material like Bob's, and sound like they actually mean it... I'm a musician and song writer and fan of Bob's work for many years and I find most people covering his songs unlistenable - they're great songs, how can you mess them up? usually because they're either boring or sound shallow or without conviction, or just missing something - the personality or attitude or spirit of the original artist or version ... The Byrds did a pretty great job on a few (though a few misses, after hearing the CD full of their Bob songs) but they're great artists in their own right. Mark Arm did "Masters of war" also, which is quite good in a different way. Anyway this is one of the few Bob Dylan covers I think is listenable and good! Nice job keep up the good work and post some original songs (song writing is a lost art these days!)
My favourite Dylan cover is (beside Connie's) is Father of Day, Father of Night by Manfred Mann's Earth Band (the 10 minute long version from the Solar Fire album).
Captures that relentless, inexorable pulse of the original that seems to say you'll reap what you sow.

I just discovered this performer. What an amazing voice, angelic!
This has to be one of, if not the best, cover of Bob Dylan's masterpiece.
How am I just hearing this?? This cover is phenomenal! This will be on repeat for the next several days..
A worthy cover of Dylan's work. Eerily intense
Wonderful version
I am loving this version of 'Masters of War', it's so different from the original but nevertheless just as powerful.
This song could only be powerful...
I've always loved this song but I couldn't imagine a more perfect cover. Thank you Connie
I've been sharing your version of masters of war, Because your voice is a dagger to "the masters of war"
The masters couldn't care less about any of us or our thrashing. They won.

i have other version il let u check in a minute
this cover makes me want to create a whole show just so this song can be the after credits song
That's what I was thinking...roll credits. I plan to use "judging party" by Resinflea in a documentary in the roll credits.
The show is currently playing. It's called The Nightly News. 😢
A western show could be good.
Do it.

Not always easy to capture the mood of a Dylan song, this version has done that and some.
A glorious rendition of this Dylan masterpiece....
Congratulations on not wimping out, and doing the Odetta thing, or the Judy Collins thing to Bob Dylan's powerful original lyrics.
I was hooked after the first few words you sang. Great version. Thanks.
