Quill mall is so depressing.. despite having monorail connection in front of it.. city hall//government need to sort out those horrible eyesore with those abandon construction site everywhere in that area.. build more affordable condos and housing.. more people need to move into that area.. so many boarded up land.. been like that for decades already..
I just visited KL last week. I stayed at Quill Residence next door, and I visited Quill City Mall every day. I agree with you that Quill City Mall felt very depressing. They don't need high end stores, but they definitely could do a lot better. I don't know how new Quill City Mall is, but I will say that you should give it time to develop. The mall is right next to Jalan Doraisamy, and that street has a lot of amazing eateries. People are definitely going to spend more time in the area moving forward. I'm from Boston in the US, and at least with us, any place nearby major public transport gets developed over time, no matter how far from the city. Quill is right next to major tourist destinations. Quill is RIGHT off of the monorail. I'll be shocked if in 10 years, it's not more developed. I also think that if Quill City Mall repositioned itself as a mall for the residences in the area, it would do a lot better.
