Dreamcatcher: Used to be a 5 member group called Minx who debuted with a pretty typical girl group vibe, had one comeback that was actually a remake of an album track from their sister group DalShabet. Company couldn’t even give em a new track for their comeback. Smh. Cut to a year or so later: the original 5 members of Minx plus 2 new members rebrand as Dreamcatcher and adopt this rock-inspired sound they’ve maintained ever since. JiU is my bias, but they’re all really great. 4 members were also on YG’s failed survival show MIXNINE (which also had Itzy’s Ryujin, and a couple members of LOONA) last year, but they pulled out after a couple weeks to focus on touring internationally.
Apink is legendary. If I remember correctly, their company was originally an offshoot of CUBE Entertainment (g-idle, pentagon, 4minute, CLC) before separating themselves. The amount of content available for them is A LOT considering they’ve been around for like 7+ years. Bomi and Namjoo are my girls over there. They started with a very pure, innocent vibe and have only really started maturing their image and sound over the past couple years, and I’m here for all of it!
Dreamcatcher videos worth watching: all of them, but you should check out their debut track “Chase Me” and my personal favorite is a special track they released last year called “ Full Moon”.
Apink: Start with debut “I don’t know”, follow up with “Mr. Chu” which was huge for them, then “No No No”, “LUV”, “Remember”, “Only One”, and finally “I’m So Sick” which will bring you up to speed with where they’re at today.
