I am so confused about row 17. No matter how much I try I can't seem to get down to 42 into that row by 6 single crochet and a decrease.

. My stitches match your until row 17. You stated the next row was sc(6) and decrease this doesn’t work for fit into 57. I am always ending at 50 and the stitches don’t match. I’ve redone this line about 25 times and I’m sorry I just don’t understand. I have been counting every single row for head and the body.
