Check out Barnsley Gardens. I’ve run into a few PGA guys out there over the years.. it’s such an amazing mountain course with several holes with severe elevation. Greens are slick too.
You and EAL have the best course vlogs on UA-cam in my opinion. Loving the new content, thanks for all the hard work! Welcome to the east coast, my man!
MrShortGame Golf This is crazy! You moved right next to me, I play here all the time! Let’s play soon I’m a 1.9 handicap would love to get you out to Pinetree it’s a private course in Kennesaw. Let’s Play!
Great track. So narrow and those Georgia Pines are so tall. It was funny when you said "Bermuda rough, which I am not a fan of". I moved down here from the Northeast (where everything is either Bent or Rye) and had to get used to this Bermuda. It has been 15 years and I still hate it. So tough to judge how it is coming out. You will get used to it but I am guessing that you will never really like it.
I recommend you try Echelon Golf Club in Alpharetta, Ga. I think you’ll find their greens are closer to the speed you’re accustomed to playing. It’s a beautiful track and plays approx 7500 from the tips. Great video, loving the golf vlogs!
This is great. I noticed with what you were saying with your green reading issue, is that the putts are much straighter than you thought. I have the same thing at my home course. I rarely have to aim more than a foot outside the hole. Hope that helps.
Those are some beautiful and huge homes. Always wondered how the grass plays in the south. Played in CA, AZ and NV but usually it’s always bent grass or Kikuyu grass, never played Bermuda.
Not sure what part of GA you moved to, but based on your 1st 2 videos I'd suggest you check out Woodmont Golf Club in Canton as well. Lots of great courses closer to ATL such as Bears Best and St Marlo. As for hitting it further, don't forget about elevation, you are about 1000 feet above sea level here.
Matt, the entire vlog was great. Loved the sky shots. Views are terrific. Lived in CA for 25 years and now an OKIE. I miss the low humidity and mountains of So, CAL. You have stepped up the quality of your show--very professional.
Canton Golf Club is a little semi-private 9 hole track in Canton built and designed by Bobby Jones’ grandpa. It’s open to the public on Mondays. Definitely work checking out.
Matt the course looks nice hope you start to figure those greens out down there!! The signature hole is similar to the 17th at Sawgrass but with bunkers!! Still decent round from you and cool course vlog!!
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I went to Georgia and played Chateau Elan (pre racetrack, heard they built one there) and on, I think, the Stouffer Resort course in the same general area. Great courses.
It's pretty cool you moved to Georgia. You play golf about a hour away from where my relatives live. We golfed at Reunion Country Club in Hoschton, GA when I visited them a couple years ago. It was awesome playing on a course that had fairways cut like a fringe Lol. Its easily the nicest course I've ever played at
What an awesome course🏌️. I'd find all those amazing trees🌳🌳🌳 very intimidating. Shame about the putts but well played👏. Love to see a collab with @golfholics on this course👍👍
Really cool to see you here on the east coast! Bridgemill is one of my favorite tracks up here. You should also check out Cobblestone in Acworth. It’s absolutely gorgeous and is a very challenging course.
Hey I play there all the time! Neat! On some of your tee shots where you got into some trouble I said to myself "yup, been down there, I feel your pain Matt" 😅😭 great video, great channel!
Seems like you made a nice adjustment mid round. The first couple holes you hit a 9 135ish and then later you went to PW for that going uphill. Great video!
It's the elevation. If you were playing at sea level in California any increase in elevation will cause ball to travel farther. I found a formula Titleist developed and I believe it breaks down to a little over 1% per 1000 feet gain in elevation. I calculated for LA work tournament and where I live is about 3K feet in elevation. I think my final number was about 4% less carry in LA compared to 3K elevation.
With covid, I thought they weren't allowing any FANS on the course. Nice video, thanks. I thought it was strange to see huge fans behind the greens. Much better play than your other round. Be safe.
Thanks Matt for that video, course was beautiful, just love how you scratch golfers aren't happy shooting 2 over, lol. I'd be more than happy with that, hell I would have bought the first round, lol.
Love this video! That is realistic play. Guess you would have walk away even if not for the distraction and effort of placing the cams and stuff. I like this video very much.
I like the course vlogs, thanks and keep them coming
Woodmont is another nice one in Canton.
Check out Barnsley Gardens. I’ve run into a few PGA guys out there over the years.. it’s such an amazing mountain course with several holes with severe elevation. Greens are slick too.
Try to get to Stonebridge in Rome, Ga
I’m the assistant superintendent here at bridgemill athletic club. Super awesome to see my course on your videos!
It's one thing to play out of someone's backyard, but it's boss status to take a chunk of sod with it. 🤣🤣🤣
And then take off running lol
Lololol
Add two strokes for being ob, and you seem to get a bit lucky finding balls in the woods
You and EAL have the best course vlogs on UA-cam in my opinion. Loving the new content, thanks for all the hard work! Welcome to the east coast, my man!
Waiting for an invite 😂
Consider this your official invite. Anytime let's do it.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your round - nicely played!

Echelon is one of my favorites!
Yes, Echelon is fantastic. So is White Columns.
Playing there tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to it.
Very nice. Very helpful to see what you use and distances. Hope to see more of these 😁
Welcome to the area. I'm sure you'll figure out the greens but if not just let me know. I'd be more than happy to help. I play out of Cobblestone
First video I watched. Perfect length for a 18 hole-shot by shot. Keep'm keeping.
That island green is dope!
This is a beautiful course. Love the trees and the elevation changes. Greens look pure!
Putting teaching to the test! Strategic course planning, knowing when to put the driver down.
Another nice video! Looking forward to Augusta VLOG!!
Thanks for the video! Great round. Love your tips. Playing in a tournament this Sunday !!
This is great. I noticed with what you were saying with your green reading issue, is that the putts are much straighter than you thought. I have the same thing at my home course. I rarely have to aim more than a foot outside the hole. Hope that helps.
Love the format, no wasted time and a full 18! Great work and great playing. Welcome to the south.
Those are some beautiful and huge homes. Always wondered how the grass plays in the south. Played in CA, AZ and NV but usually it’s always bent grass or Kikuyu grass, never played Bermuda.
The course vlogs are awesome, thumbs up
love the course being in the woods!!!!!
I would recommend playing Woodmont Golf and Country Club one time if you liked Bridge Mill.
Great video!
I liked the play by play and the shot banner.
I pray you have much success in Georgia
I have a tournament here in 2 weeks. This helped me understand to lay up on most of these holes and play it safe off the tee.
Loving the course vlogs. Thanks Mr. Short Game!
I enjoy course vlogs, keep em coming.

What a great course vlog. Looking forward to watching more!!
I like your new style of videos with the yardages and club selection...keep it up 👍. Can’t wait for Golfholics to come for a visit!

Congrats! Even par round with 16 & 17 being par 5's. Enjoyed the divot shot in the neighbors yard. "Thanks Mr. Shortgame!"

Veteran southern move to take the 1st tee time! We will try to play first until around November in N FL. You'll get cooler weather earlier in N GA!
Nice looking course, great analysis, keep them coming buddy!
Awesome course. Lovin the course vlogs now. Keep it up
Canton Golf Club is a little semi-private 9 hole track in Canton built and designed by Bobby Jones’ grandpa. It’s open to the public on Mondays. Definitely work checking out.
Cracking looking course, must play there if I ever get over to the states. Good video again mate.

Welcome to Atlanta, your big fan
Liking this format 👍
Loving the vlogs mate 👊🏻🏴
I live in South Carolina. I hit a PW here 140-145 in the summer and in the winter I hit it 130. The heat is crazy
Go and play Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, GA, its very good
Man this is a cool video. Great work!
welcome to Atlanta. You need to check out Echelon. Pound for pound one of the best courses in North GA that you can play.
What an awesome course🏌️. I'd find all those amazing trees🌳🌳🌳 very intimidating. Shame about the putts but well played👏. Love to see a collab with @golfholics on this course👍👍
That intro was so coo! Course vlogs are awesome :D
Love these videos. Thanks
Love the vlogs! I can't believe you never lose any balls O.B. Shot tracer makes it look like it's 50 yards into the trees! Keep up the good work!
Love the course vlogs, makes me want to get out and play
Great video Matt! Love seeing the course vlogs.
Loving these vlogs!
Really cool to see you here on the east coast! Bridgemill is one of my favorite tracks up here. You should also check out Cobblestone in Acworth. It’s absolutely gorgeous and is a very challenging course.
Superb Video, greetings from Southern Bavaria
Nice video mate. Keep it up, from New Zealand
Use to work out there on the maintenance crew. Great course
Excellent video Matt! Putting...If you hit it short, you miss 100% of the time. Beautiful Golf Course!
Welcom to the south! Great golf courses down here , but tuff greens to read and get your pace right.
Hey I play there all the time! Neat! On some of your tee shots where you got into some trouble I said to myself "yup, been down there, I feel your pain Matt" 😅😭 great video, great channel!
Must play....
Waterfalls Country Club in Clayton, GA
Rare gem in GA. Bent grass greens and fairways. Let me know if you want to play there and do a VLOG.
You definetly cant miss left..."so i was trying to hook the ball into the green"😂
Why is that funny. That's the high percentage play
What a great course
Seems like you made a nice adjustment mid round. The first couple holes you hit a 9 135ish and then later you went to PW for that going uphill. Great video!
Course is beautiful
More course vlogs. Love them! Check out royal lakes country club in flowery branch near the falcons training center when ya get a chance.
Great looking track, and great video.
Well done Matt!
I love the course vlogs, I hope you keep them coming. For bermuda greens, I always take less break than I see and it seems to work out.
Bridge mill has bent grass greens
Nice course vlog dude. The course looks 👌🏻
Very well done production wise! Definitely something for us to aspire to become! Keep it up!
Some tough times on those greens but most important to enjoy it 😊
My stomping grounds. Hell yea hope to see you out and about. Take a look at Barnsley resort in Adairsville. Nice Fazio track

This is my neighborhood golf course. I love playing here but I always play terrible here😂
333 yard par 5 on 15? Love the signature hole! 17 listed as a 331 yard par 5 also. Nice birdie on the 18th! Have you found a home course yet?
They are both par 4's, he just didn't update the graphics. No worries.
Jeff Rogers thanks for the update.
Fantastic commentary. Explaining not only the club but also why it was chosen and then how it was played. What degree sand wedge are you using?
I love the running analysis. You make it look so easy. Is there a link for your swing analysis. Slow motion.
Love the course vlogs! Reunion or Royal Lakes would be a couple cool courses to see
Love the course blog but am looking forward to the at home instructional videos! I hope to see some chickens in the background!
With covid, I thought they weren't allowing any FANS on the course. Nice video, thanks. I thought it was strange to see huge fans behind the greens. Much better play than your other round. Be safe.
we gotta get a round in at cobblestone you're gonna love it buddy! I'm usually playing all around North Atlanta along with Eagle Watch and Bentwater!
Bermuda rough, welcome to Georgia Bruh.....
I love these vlogs. Freakin awesome. Where was the island green though?
Thanks Matt for that video, course was beautiful, just love how you scratch golfers aren't happy shooting 2 over, lol. I'd be more than happy with that, hell I would have bought the first round, lol.
Great sand save on 14.
Love this video! That is realistic play. Guess you would have walk away even if not for the distraction and effort of placing the cams and stuff. I like this video very much.
