I feel for you. I was an electronics tech in the 80s and 90s and I cannot even begin to tell you how many pieces of equipment are damaged by so called "expert" repair personnel. Look if you are not comfortable working on a particular piece of equipment, do not attempt any further to repair it, close it up, and tell the customer: "I apologize, but due to unforseen issues, I cannot repair this item". It's that simple!!!
The person who CAN repair it, won't have to charge as much and doesn't have to be burdened with the damage someone else caused. And the person who matters most (customer) will feel more at ease knowing their item was fixed and will refer you more to their friends and relatives. It helps!!

I agree mate, there's absolutely nothing wrong with simply saying "it's out of my depth, sorry", absolutely no shame in not knowing something. No one knows everything at the end of the day and it doesn't hurt to admit that

In my experience, citing "unforeseen issues" only make things worse, because it tends to make the customer suspicious about the real reason of the refusal. To me, the truth, documented truth, works best, I record and photograph as much as possible, and when a previously damaged device comes to my shop, I inform the customer and depending on his response, I decide if I'm working on the repair or not. Sometimes it's not another shop the culprit, but the customer himself.

It’s staggering the amount of PS5 console’s we’ve seen you repair, i’m getting a bit worried now.
I’ve got the Series X as well but barely ever see you getting them in to fix, it’s always PS5’s and to think how hard it was to get too!
Any tips or suggestions on ways to look after it/maintain it any better? Or any settings that need to be changed?
I bought a cover for both and always cover them up after use so that no dust, smoke that leads to even more dust gets into them.

There is a good reason to use low-melt solder on the port connections first, and that's because those nearby components can also fall off when the board reaches melting temperature for the unleaded. It's not the only reason, but it should be compelling enough.
I'm not saying it will happen, but it's an unnecessary risk. And it's not like a roll of solder is that expensive.

27:34 If I would have been put in the situation to do this repair, without watching this video first, I would have tried to recreate the traces copper-tape (has conductive adhesive), and making a final connection between the old and new pad with solder. Probably overestimate the size of these pads, tho. Or underestimating the size of the wire.
My idea is undoubtedly more expensive, takes longer, and relies on that glue doesn't fail, but might add a tat less height and maybe allows a bit more power through. Advantages which are so minor that they aren't worth the additional time and failure points.
Have a device with failed traces* I push forward to fix for quite some time
*=lots of daughter boards, the manufacture thought a good idea to solder together for also a mechanical link. It wasn't. Device fell from hip height, it ripped all connections off.

I will try it on some of my scrap pcb's with design errors 🙁.

Say old chap, if you ran your finger on my blade without pulling straight sideways, with my corse and light grained whetstone even if as gentle as you could it would slice you finger to the bone. You pulled your finger down the direction of cut which you would never do with my blade, just saying.
