  • Kennedy Town, situated at the western end of Sai Wan on Hong Kong Island, is a neighborhood steeped in history and transformation.
Named after Arthur Edward Kennedy, the 7th Governor of Hong Kong (serving from 1872 to 1877), Kennedy Town has a rich past.
For years, Kennedy Town remained less developed due to its distance from major commercial cores and lack of train access.
However, since the MTR extension to the area in 2014, it has rapidly gentrified.
Older businesses, such as vehicle repair workshops and traditional cha chaan tengs, have made way for new luxury developments, high-end bars, and restaurants.
