The only thing what I knew till now for this town was the football team "Jaro".Now I know that there is very nice wooden town and beautiful park (Skolparken).Very good walk!
The mask recommendations came later to Finland. There were not too many cases in Finland in summer 2020 compared to many other countries. Also even later years it was not compulsory to wear masks outside in Finland.
I agree, the city hall is really beautiful. It was finished in 1877 and was designed by Finnish architect Georg Wilenius. Fairly rare public buildings were built or designed by the Russians back then. This was because Grand duchy of Finland was autonomous part of the Russian Empire.
I have a couple of friends who live here in Pietarsaari. Thank you for the tour.
Nice that you liked it :)
Really cool to see my own home city thank you :)
