I think the discussion missed addressing high child care costs and lack of extended paid parental leave as support mechanisms for parenthood.

Great discussion. I think it's one of the few times I've heard someone offering reasonable solutions to the problems of men.

oooooooo this is exactly my bag!!!
    first!
so before i watch the whole thing
    1. low fertility is bad atm cus there's still lots of poverty which is unnecessary
    2. boost growth and redistribute and tax rentierism and invest in robots and boost immmigration and build point access blocks and do housing and energy abundance with all the usual redistribution --- eliminate poverty
    3. global feritility probably falling all this time but open borders etc are eliminating strife.....there's a social wealth fund and enough social welfare that living itself is fine but more than that....i don't konw. hopefully people find enough fun things to do to keep consumption up and the machine whirring or else we'll ahve to do something like explore space travel to keep the machine buzzing along...
    onto the vid

AI doctors. He said they are much cheaper even if better than humans. This undercuts gdp and taxes. But AI could charge just as much as humans, so no drop in gdp.

Open borders would create massive amounts of strife, in fact the mass migration of culturally incompatible peoples to the West has already created much strife.

@@CesarFerraro2 Would help if Southern Europe had a higher density? In other words, would that serve to block immigration from Middle East, North Africa. And, so how do we increase populations in those places with "desirable" Spainards and Greeks? Apparently, lots of Colombians are moving to Spain.
