"Hogan" ( for solo #piano )
The hogan is the traditional home of the Navajo people. The door must face east towards the rising sun, to greet the day and welcome blessings. This video was filmed at my nali's (grandfather's) hogan. At the center is a wood-burning stove, and traditionally you enter and leave the hogan in a clockwise direction.

One of my favorite parts was when the camera paned above the Hogan . . . the roof became the desert floor and the smoke hole in the roof became the entrance to the great womb that is our mother, and from where we emerged . . . kivaesque . . . you and yours are amazing . . . in great thanks
