Lovely garden. Your hard work paying off. Always enjoy your garden tours. VOLES are horrible creatures and the will eat the roots right out from under your hosta. First experience with them this year. If you find a way to deter them, please publish.
Yes, they are horrible. I caught one yesterday chowing down on some Liatris! Ate all the roots right off. I had read they love Hosta so mine are still in pots, we adopted two kitties and they seem to be good hunters. Lets see if they help. I have tried everything else with no sucess.

You bet. I got them in a couple days ago, I bought two. What a thrill it is to get new plants. The UPS guy says I have an addiction. But then gave me info on some great new nurseries that have just gone in not too far from me.
I recent new sub. I didn’t know you were in California. Prayers for those near the fires and firefighters trying to control them. I’ll never get tired of hearing that fountain, along with your voice and seeing the garden, it’s really relaxing 😌 👍🏼
Yes, I am in the mountains of N. California. Fire country and despite a huge thunderstorm that had tons of lightening passed through last night we were fortunate it also included some rain. I have not heard of new fires starting here yet, but we shall see.
Flower Patch Farmhouse wow, my brother and his family live near the Bay Area. I’m in Arizona, the Southwest part, it is hot, 🥵 115 today. Can’t wait till October

You mention that you are in Cali and you kept talking about snow. I didn't think you got snow there.
Yes, we live in the mountains of N. California and we get quite a bit of snow. Heavy, wet stuff that can really wreak havoc on plants. Many things most don't prune back until Spring I have to prune in late Fall to prevent the snow from breaking them.

I really love your garden! I am trying to find a deleafing tool for my cut flower arrangements. I usually just cut the leafs off with my kitchen scissors, but I think there is a tool to make this go faster. Do you know what this is? Do you use a deleafing tool for cut flowers?
No I just use my pruners so sorry I can't help you. If you find out about one, let me know, it would be so helpful!
