Lisa is one of my favorite characters. She gets some of the best episodes... Summer of 4ft. 2, Lisa the Vegetarian, Lisa's Substitute to name a few. I like Yeardley on the DVD commentaries. She asks good questions that fans would ask the writers and developers and she cares about her performances and her character. She and Dan Castellanta and Hank Azaria are the best actors on the commentaries I think.
On some of the Simpson series DVD commentaries Groening and co were praising the voice actors and kept telling how it's unbelievable to hear Yeardley Smith doing Lisa or Julie Kavner doing Marge because their natural voices are so distinctive from their characters. Like, what the hell? Their voices are almost identical in both cases! Just listening to this interview proves it, haha.
@182below0 In Season 8 he does the commentary for the Frank Grimes episode - Homer's enemy. In Season 4 he did commentary for Homer's Barbershop Quartet and Homer's Triple Bypass - according to a quick google search which took me to wikipedia.
hey i knew that she was going to say that her funniest part was when lisa fell to the ground!!!its soo funny!!!also even with her own voice she sounds like lisa!
Bart Sells his Soul is awesome! The Simpsons were on a role from season 3 to season 11. Since then they have gone down hill and there hasn't been an episode in the last five years with even a quarter the wit of the old episodes.
she was born in france and she moved to usa 2 years later she did get picked on because of her voice and her name i feel sorry for her but i think she is french too
Her normal voice is almost just like Lisa's, it's adorable

The main reason certain people 'hate' Lisa Simpson is that she's smart and they're not.
I can't believe that she actually talks like that,I love it! I think she got really beautiful eyes too...
@vampirechik108
I don't know, she was born in France. It was a joke because of the way her eyes are, she looks like an Asian.
i've had a crush on yeardley since highschool days. she is such a bright character and a beautiful woman on top of it all.
her real voice sounds like lisa when she grows up
OMG I thought that too!
Aside from the Simpsons, I loved her in Maximum Overdrive.
I love Yeardley Smith!
Lisa is one of the best characters ever.

That tiny, distinct voice would also be gold in anime voice acting.
She does Lisa amazingly she's awesome

Loved when they did Michael Jackson :D
lisa and her seem to be suited for each other,

WTF? Her and Pamela Hayden BOTH said the soul episode was one of their favorites. That's a huge coincidence.

I have loved Yeardley Smith for a long time, she's so adorable and short like me, just a unique voice. Yeah I'm a chick too.
if there would be any scene where lisa would be a adult, then this women could just talk normal, her voice is like a older lisa.
Yeardley. Yeardley, yeardley yeardley yeardley, an' a Yeardley. Let it roll around in your mouth. Yeardley.
Love it :)
Close your eyes and its Lisa
Wikipedia has her being born in 1964
Anyone else think that she really did sound like Lisa when she was a kid?
yes she is definitely
haha I thought the exact same thing at first, then I was like "duhh she is Lisa" lol
Lisa is now an Adult.
Bart Sells his Soul is awesome! The Simpsons were on a role from season 3 to season 11. Since then they have gone down hill and there hasn't been an episode in the last five years with even a quarter the wit of the old episodes.
she reminds me of Kitty Foreman from that 70's show...
I'm closing my eyes. And all I can see is Lisa talking :p
My gad, she IS Lisa!
@Division1985 Hank also plays a few others, not just Wiggum.
@Division1985 Don't forget all the background and one-time characters that he's done.

@Emzie375 Not the worst. I'm telling you, there are interviewers where you can't believe your ears about what kind of crap they are asking the ppl..
has anyone noticed.. this chick sounds like lisa simpson :o

at 4:58 the interviewer should seriously consider changing careers and become a cartoon character.
