I understand that so many people hate Jamie, but God, he’s such a tragic and broken character. My heart broke watching this episode. Everybody puts constant blame on Jamie, but seeing him so broken and then knowing that he’s all alone, to where his family despises him.. it’s awful
Does any hate what’s her face .. BETH?! Like why the hell does she hate JAIMIE so much?!?! I don’t understand! Someone explain it to me. It actually makes me hate her character.
The whole idea that you would give up watching a storyline because of a rumor you heard makes me question why i watch you. For the same reason me unsubbing you would not affect you in the slightest you not watching this show won't affect him. So, you would be doing it for effect. If you only watch stuff from nice people, you are going to limit your media intake severely. Im not going to say to do or not to do anything. That is of course your decision. Just dont stop because you are afraid of online trolls. Just say no to cancel culture.
About the show. You will find out soon enough why Beth acts the way she does. There is a reason.
Also, yeah if you want to get under someone's skin (and you are a psychopath) you go after the people that person loves. The thing about most men is that we are hard wired to protect our family and friends. If we dont then we take it as a personal failure. It eats away at you. You are a mother so i am sure at some point one of the children got hurt and you were close enough to help if you were just a little faster or stronger. Women feel that way about their kids (mamabear). Well men feel that way about everyone they considers friends.
I think the Monica situation was due to people saying she wasnt Cherokee enough to play one. They might be looking to get rid of her and get Kayce a native wife. I hope not it is getting stupid.
Our friend owns some of the horses used on the show and the rumors concerning Sheridan are false.Not only does he care about making $4 but he actually cares about portraying life on the reservation and even the work crew go out their way to be welcoming.
Taylor Sheridan is an amazing filmmaker, theres alot of rumors going around about both him and Costner. Im reserving judgement on both of them for now. lots of bad situations can crop up when theres bad communication, especially with lawyers involved. Sheridan is definitely out of touch when it comes to his comments about the writers strike, but I can also see where he's coming from. His best work (Wind River) has him as the sole writer and director.
Monica is not written well. Her place on the show is always limbo. She doesn't provide any good plot devices. The writers didn't know what to do with her.

I wasn't sure what you were referring to, at the intro, until i read the older comments. I don't care if you quit this show or not. Yellowstone takes so long to get good(S4), i'm surprised you're still watching it. Either way people aren't going to be happy. "You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself."
Enjoying your reactions to Yellowstone. No spoilers, but the next episode is one of my favorite Beth episodes. Can't wait.
I love it when people drag that strawman out of their closet because they can't deal with the argument. Sheridan didn't say anything about copy editors, about sound guys, about tech guys or even about hairdressers. He talked instead about writers. W-R-I-T-E-R-S. Not tech guys, not sound guys, but writers. Writers. So all that other bullshit that you bring up - hairdressers, tech guys, copy editors and the lot, it's all irrelevant. It's all just so much straw.
I agree with his idea about writers. Hollywood is filled to the brim with very bad writers. These very bad writers have already polluted and ruined Disney, Pixar, and Warner. I say good for Taylor. Keep those bad writers away from your projects.
The writing was designed for shock.
Anna, have you ever enjoyed an opera by Richard Wagner? His music is among the best that Western Civilization has ever produced. Profoundly beautiful. However, Wagner himself was the _archetype_ douche canoe. Evil, selfish, 'racist', you name it. Yet the man is not his music, and a bad person can do good things. Likewise, honorable people can produce shit. For that reason, I *never* allow drama or whatever about the creator(s) to influence my experience of their art.
Ignore the People magazine rumor mill and just get on with it.
Otoh, your criticisms of the art have some validity. Just hang on through Season 2 -- hang on tight -- and it will get better. Even the women open out some.

i do not get the thing between beth and Jamie if they give us the reason why she hate him so much in season 1 or at the start of season 2 i may be on her side but for me she just horrible to him for no real reason wich is why it's hard to side with her she's very confusing same for Monica ..
