It is said that lal ded's mother in law treated her very harshly .Infact she used to pour a very little amount of rice in her plate and used to cover it with stone inside so that it disguises as full plate of rice.....
And once a feast was being organised at her home and she was being told by her friends that today you will have a great feast...To which Lal Ded replied:
"Hond marethan hakhur merthan ,lal e nilwath cxale na zahn"...
Which translates as :
It doesnt matter whether there will be a feast or something else..
I would still be having a stone beneath my plate.....

when Lal Ded encountered Sheikh Ali Hamadani she jumped into a tandoor (clay oven) and, when the Sheikh lifted the lid, Lal Ded came out dressed in flowers. When she was asked why she was dressed for the first time she replied saying “Today I saw a man for the first time”
