I literally just came off both my Everest 5k's last week, but I've run them @.5 daily w/not one single issue over prob. 3 yrs.
Never experienced wirh Ampre amp, but they are badass amp. You'll be happy. I was talking to some guy over at SMD, they say the Ampre 3800 have or have an identical board as the Sundown SAZ3500D.
Great vid. I have a planet audio BB2400 and most people say the big bang amps are the only planet audio's worth buying. The BB2400 claims 2400rms at 1 ohm. It slams my re audio MT15 (2500rms +) very well but I'm not sure if its actually getting the full 2400 watts...probably not but it still hammers that sub hard. Would love to see my BB tested on that dyno.

but I do say for the price of the planet audio amp, what it does do is not a bad price compared to some others, and I've been using 4 of them for over 2 years I run them all at 1 ohm and they I'm happy with them. I get 4000 watts I know now for sure which I already estimated around about 1000 or so each of them and only paid 400$ or so for them 2 years ago

Do an amp drag between a Planet Audio Big Bang 2400.1 and an Arc Audio XDI 1100.1. I think you will be shocked. The Big Bang amps are almost identical to the 1st generation XDI amps. Same external input output layout and very similar board configuration. Im sure the PA and use lower quality components but your looking at $149 vs $520. The PA Big Bang 1200.4 is identical to the Arc XDI804.
I mean that's great and all, but i paid like $120 for that planet audio amp eight years ago lol.. how much was the Everest retailing for ten years ago? $1,000+? The planet audio amp was phenomenal for the money as long as you went into knowing you weren't actually getting anywhere near 5000 watts, which is what i did.

I have two Planet Audio Anarchy 12 300 watt ..200 rms and also have a 800 watt planet audio Anarchy amp I've been having them for 6 years now 3 different vehicles quite honestly you can't beat them for a price
I almost made the mistake of buying an anarchy planet audio 100.1 to power my cvr 10" in ported box i got in my semi truck. They are cheap and list big numbers on the box. But i had doubts about them. So i went with kicker dx500.1 instead. Yea i paid more, about $50 more than the anarchy but feel alot better about buying kicker.
only does around 2100 watts dynamic so its junk as well all my buddies keep blowing them cheap 25 dollar amps. finally went up to hifonics, does close to rated power and way more durable.

I've been banging my ac3000 for over 3 years. Have taken it on several road trips bumping for over 4 hours at 1 ohm. I've even ran it to 3 4 omh dvc subs wired to .67 ohms and banged for over 2 hour's straight at a time and it's never even gotten worm. The anarchy amps are way below what they say they are rated but they never get hot.
Modify the amp to produce more wattage! just add 2 more power mosfet IRFB31N20D I did it to 2 of my BOSS PH5000D 'S and wow what a difference in power! There the same amp layout inside if you take your cover off you'll see 2 empty spots for 2 more mosfets just add the same as the rest and add 4 resistors and you're set I don't know why these companies don't add these 2 mosfets. after that do the test again!!!!

JBL makes an extremely popular series of amplifiers which use digital sound processing with onboard computers. The MS-8 is a perfect example. The big difference between using a "computer" like you're referring to is, there's only so much room in a car to work with, and let's not forget the main purpose of a car is to drive and transport people. The car's audio system is strictly for entertainment purposes. Think of it this way . . . A descent computer you refer to does not have an onboard amplifier, yet can cost anywhere between $300 to $3,000. Add an amplifier with this kind of power to it and the price automatically doubles. No different than car audio. Back to your initial comment about high price tag means high quality, 90% of the time it does. There are many things to look for when buying car amplifiers. People also say power acoustic amps do 2/3 of the rated power but a guy at a comp clamped one that was wired at .5ohm and got 690watts. Thats with box rise but come on it claims 5500 watts and didn't get close to 1k even at .5ohm

i would like to know the same thing since once i put 3 Boston Acoustic SPG555's to it and some how my alternator kick the bucket. Now pushing a 350 alternator but i feel like they are not getting enough power.
On a high output alternator at around 16 volts u might be able to pull 3500 watts out of the planet audio but if ur gonna spend the $ on the alternator ur not gonna buy a cheap amp
just putting it out there u said both amps are hooked up but one's not getting the same amount of power to them you also said that the planet audio isn't putting out as much as its supposed to which everyone knows that the planet audio is not going to put out as much as supposed to run them one at. a time I guarantee you get a little bit more out of it

we all understand the point you're making about the shitty companies lying and anyone who's not born last night knows it's not 5k, that being said for the wattage it does push (even at o.5ohm) is well worth the $$. The other asian made amps with fancier names and more accurate ratings watt for watt are at least 3x as much $ Your point about failure rate is invalid since all of these asian amps' (korea included) components have nearly the same failure rate. The board quality on the ac5000.1 is top notch, dig in and check it. I've abused one of these at .5ohms (dont get much box rise in an ib setup, shall we call it cabin rise lol) for a long time now and with proper voltage it's fine and never fails.
what brand of capacitors do they use? ive got an eclipse 3640 (4 channels at 40W rms, but!!!! at 0.05% THD.....does more like 60/70 at 1% thd) it uses nipon chemicon....about the best caps you can get.... was made in 1999 and still going strong....that amp is so fucking clean sounding its silly.
how do you know its worth the money without know the current it draw because if it did 1700 watts but pulled 300 amps would it still be considered to efficiently do the 1700 when likely the electrical will be only one back up battery if not stock electrical

If it's not .5 ohm stable then it's going to do crazy things... like make less watts than at 1ohm. That's already been proven in another vid.

i would like to know the same thing since once i put 3 Boston Acoustic SPG555's to it and some how my alternator kick the bucket. Now pushing a 350 alternator but i feel like they are not getting enough power.

On a high output alternator at around 16 volts u might be able to pull 3500 watts out of the planet audio but if ur gonna spend the $ on the alternator ur not gonna buy a cheap amp
This is incorrect. The Planet Audio will protect at 15.5v. I tried running the voltage higher to get more power and it just wasnt happening.
even if you have 18v i doubt about get 3500 watts COMPLETELY CLEAN AND RMS on planet audio

the planet audio only lasted me like six months at 2ohms then melted half of the insides they are not even worth the money you pay for them

You really can’t compare rms amps to peak amps.
we all understand the point you're making about the shitty companies lying and anyone who's not born last night knows it's not 5k, that being said for the wattage it does push (even at o.5ohm) is well worth the $$. The other asian made amps with fancier names and more accurate ratings watt for watt are at least 3x as much $ Your point about failure rate is invalid since all of these asian amps' (korea included) components have nearly the same failure rate. The board quality on the ac5000.1 is top notch, dig in and check it. I've abused one of these at .5ohms (dont get much box rise in an ib setup, shall we call it cabin rise lol) for a long time now and with proper voltage it's fine and never fails.

how do you know its worth the money without know the current it draw because if it did 1700 watts but pulled 300 amps would it still be considered to efficiently do the 1700 when likely the electrical will be only one back up battery if not stock electrical
