Go girl, Minister Gwarube. I am a Xhosa Woman passionate about Education. Our children cannot pass Matric with 30%. Fail them , if they don’t study. This SADTU thing must be stopped. Teachers who are politicians must be sacked. They cant be both. They are stealing our tax. You either a teacher or resign.

@@Beyond-Politics I think she is saying that education is becoming politicised by activists teaching CSE etc. instead of learners being educated by teachers to gain a good education and get high marks and become 50%ers, 80%ers 100%ers instead of settling for 30%.

In my days our parents hid the Scope magazine out of kids eyes and hands because of the ALMOST naked woman in centre page, if I remember porn was illegal and you could get arrested for having any material on you, and my dad was in the SAP. Sex was shared with their kids only when they felt it was time, and still used the birds and bee and stork story for as long as they could, because sex was sacred and a thing between mother and father. 😀
I have such a problem with this stupid and extremely dangerous bella bill. I am going to share all of this information with my daughter, to protect my grandson. I've always thought the Montessori or home schooling is the only way to go. I hate the mainstream education system!!!
CSE is not the same as the Bela Bill. The Bela Bill will make it easier to enforce CSE on our kids so we fight both.

This is so sick and evil! I was already 21 years old and 3rd year student when my stepdad hit me with a leather belt because I drank coffee under supervision with a 25-year old man. No wonder I had no kids. It was a voluntary choice. In 30 years, everything changed. Most concerning is that parents don't really worry about these evil implementations for their kids. Very sad.

For rural dwellers, Kids watching live stocks mating, is also a problem. Most kids get exposed to their first sex by watching cows, goats, dogs and horses mating. No wonder child pregnancy is more rampant in the rural areas.
My children are not going to be taught about sex by any teachers.

The DA has promoted the implementation of CSE in the Western Cape and many other things that are dubious like combined toilets at schools.
Kids have free access to the internet due to some parents negligence.
Some of those kids learn about some pretty vile stuff, they try it with their friends or convince a girl to try it.
I work in education, this has happened twice at the school I worked at.
Their parents don't teach them, then the kids go out and harm others.
Some girls and boys get molested and have no knowledge about what's going on and cannot properly report on the matter.
-This has happened between my girlfriend's 7-year-old cousin and her 12-year-old cousin, who molested him. The 12-year-old was originally molested by their family friend (16) and the 12-year-old was gaslit into thinking it was normal to do. The 9-year-old was gaslit by the 12-year-old in turn. It's some disgusting stuff, I know sounds fake, but this matter broke my gfs family apart, SAPS involved and all.
My gfs uncle and aunt are quite uneducated and are incompetent
What can be done besides education from the school if parents don't do their job?
I understand your points, though it's a tricky matter and I believe some sort of education is necessary due to parents negligence and the large amount of sexual assaults in this country.
Ideally, we should be making sure that parents are adequate to raise their children properly and that they receive some type of training before raising kids.
Of course, better law enforcement to keep the parents in check and to reduce crime. Of course better education in general.
