    That is a fascinating head-turn mechanism. I like how simple a lot of the parts are, there is not a lot of machined/custom parts like other mechs have, which is nice to see for when building animatronics from scratch. I find myself making a lot of custom parts, but you really can achieve the same motions with everyday hardware.

    Cool, could we get more videos on how you got your other cybers? Can’t wait to see this guy play the trumpet though

    Hey BullFrogs! I'm 15 and wanted to know, first off, how you acquire these animatronics since I was looking into getting one myself! Second, how do you educate yourself on restoring these animatronics? Obviously there are no classes on restoring animatronics so I wanted to know how you learned all this? Thank you and your channel is brilliant!

    With the cracked body shells its best to try and repair all the gaps and big chunks of plastic that are missing because damaged shells can rip and tear the cosmetics, maybe even replace them at a later date if you can find the original molds?

    Interestingly yours mech is still just bare metal, usually Sally coated their mechs in blue paint to protect from rust

    • @BullFrogsBanjo
      @BullFrogsBanjo  5 місяців тому +2

      After talking to Sally I learned that the final paint coats were different depending on what supervisor was around for the making of the shows aswell as time period. This scratch is from 1983!!

      @@BullFrogsBanjo Ah interesting! Most Sally mechs I've seen even the abandoned human bots in Japan all have blue paint over the frames so it's pretty interesting to see one without

      I’m very unfamiliar with stuff like that but yes it does look like they are limit switches. Similar to relays? No? Thank you though.

      @@BullFrogsBanjo limit switches are switches. Lol google it. Not same as relays. But yet it would've been feedback for bot position to controller

      @@BullFrogsBanjo Relays can be controlled via an microcontroller such as an arduino, there used for controlling high voltage devices with a small signal from a microcontroller. Limit switches can be used to input a signal to the microcontroller telling when something is pressed. I will make a video on my channel about them in a few days.
