Since Qiyana is my main over on the TW server in master, living in HK atm, I want to give some feedback as a Qiyana enthusiast myself. 0:44 Beifeng usually does Prowler AA E Q W Q. The reason for that is there will be a split second for them to flash, and your AA delays your start of the E Q combo so that will follows them. E Q with ice also roots them, the cc duration will be long enough for your W Q to land as well since it's faster than doing Q (ICE) W E Q (3 animations and E Q delays your Q until E reaches the target fully). If you E Q W Q, there's less animation time there since you ended with W Q instead of E Q. 1:30 Beifeng would've done R prowler AA E Q W Q. Why? Because this is the fastest possible combo on Qiyana and it also allows you to land everything before your R cc runs out, especially against a high tenacity opponents. And as a 1+ year Qiyana main, watching only Beifeng vods for the past year, always end your combo with W Q and not E Q, as I've said before, because it's faster than Q W E Q as your Q gets delayed by your E. And ending your combo with E Q, with rock terrain which is literally the most important one for damage against low hp enemy and for execution, you want that to go off as fast as possible or else they would have enough time to flash out or dash away. The reason why some Qiyana opted for Q E instead of E Q sometimes at really close range. But if they don't have sums or any dash ability it's also fine to do Q W E Q. But even so, I can't stress how important it is to do E Q W Q instead because it's more guaranteed for you to land your second Q and even the first one. Like, when you trade in lane you could even do E Q with ICE and W Q with grass and get out. *This is only for all-in with the goal of one shotting someone with no counter play* 3:31 like here. I'm not sure why you only showcase Q W E Q in the practice tool. That's a low elo, new qiyana player's combo. 5:32 that's not true. It's better to rush Prowler most of the time if you're ahead since you would have more kill window without Flash, R, and ignite. The reason why he brought lucidity boot is to dodge Anivia's CC abilities or maybe look for more roams in the side lane. If every lane is really ahead, I guess it's better to go for boots but you're not gonna start off with 2 free kills at lv 3-4 or 5 kills at lv 6 since her damage is quite nerfed. There's also another combo on Qiyana. You can E on a minion prowler to get behind them and ult them then Q W Q with the amp from prowler if you're too far from your opponent. Or in some cases, knowing that they still have flash, you can also Flash prowler AA (they will panick flash usually by this point) delay your E Q slightly before your AA animation ends to see if they will dash, galeforce or flash out, then you follow with E Q to end it off since it auto targets. And then W Q with grass to get out, or rock to execute. If your E Q somehow missed then you just hide until you have W up again.
It's kind of a common misconception that Qiyana was nerfed by the durability patch. If you look at winrate graphs going back over the last month (ten days before durability patch), her winrate through all ranks hasn't budged, up or down. And it makes sense if you think about it. Qiyana isn't just a one-shot machine, though she's quite good at it. And many of her combos were overkilling many roles to begin with, so she still can. Her W passive damage and attack speed makes her potent in brief skirmishes, as does her low cooldowns, even before ability haste. She now can take more damage from mages / counterengage spells while closing, or potentially eat an entire burst from a mage and survive to autoattack them dead. Her identity changed slightly, but she's still just as strong as she was pre-durability-patch.
She's still strong, her kit makes her playstyle unqiue in any way that's why no matter the nerf (except elememtal adjustments) her abilities will still ace the rift. Its just that the term one shot machine during her release is now inapplicable to her. But still she is a great damage dealer even how many nerfs she receives just like Akali.
@@MrAwesomeTheAwesome Her winrate did not drop, because her pickrate dropped by 50% so most likely the noobs stopped playing her, but the mains and OTPS are still playing that may the reason.
@@qwqq3671 Her pick rate dropped only slightly. From 4.7 to 3.6% in Diamond without any loss in winrate in the same range. She is one of 9 champions listed on Lolalytics as having an average rank of Grandmaster among the champion's top players. (Most champions have this as master or lower, and none have challenger atm.) I think the reasoning you give is worth consideration, and is often correct in showing why some champions maintain their winrates (or gain winrate) after nerfs, but the stats confidently show that Qiyana is in a really strong spot. About the same spot as she was before, even at the very highest level of play. Which should not be possible if her position within the game was genuinely weakened by the changes.
