Alligator gar are native to the southeastern US and a bit of northern Mexico, they don’t occur in South America, however, close cousins do

They could make a whole separate game that focuses entirely on aquaria. That's why I don't think they've given us proper fish yet.

Planet Aquarium will be anothr failure for frontier, just another financial disaster, another game no one wantts
I’m just hoping that they make a massive aquatic pack full of aquatic mammals, fish and in general sea life.
The must haves are: *orca *bottlenose dolphin* *beluga whale* *pilot whale* *false killer whale* *walrus* *porpoise* *leopard seal* *whale shark* *sea turtle* *stingray* *manta ray* *great white shark* *tiger shark* *bull shark* *mako shark* *hammerhead shark* *nurse shark* and of course more beautiful types of fish. Also, hopefully we can have orca, dolphin, sea lion and pilot whale shows since the shows are harmless in a fake reality in a game because I loved making orca shows in Zoo Tycoon 2! It adds such a fun and creative yet intense part of the game.
I feel like they might avoid orca and (other) dolphin shows specifically to sidestep the controversial nature of them, but I hope that they'll give us seal, otter and penguin-based shows (and maybe one with white sharks for the ZT references?) to compensate

Truth be told, I really do wish the animal mods were something you can get on the workshop similar to gmod, and not something you have to get fro ma completely different website.
I will say that Nexus is a lot better for actual creators, giving them a lot more control and even giving them monetary incentive to post on it.
Gar are native to the southern US and are typically found in states like Texas Mississippi Kentucky
For the Pacific White Sided Dolphins, they are in captivity...one of the greatest exhibits of them is the pod in the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago who have a linked set of pools with some Belugas

Pacific White-Sided Dolphins are pretty common in captivity, not as much as Bottlenose Dolphins but still they can be found in a lot of parks and aquaria

They're also less trouble to deal with than Bottlenoses...a lot of Bottlenose (and Orcas) are some of the bigger assholes of the cetaceans.
@@AzraelThanatos iv heard about Bottlenoses being a-holes to other species of dolphins, humans or themselves... An aquarium near here had a rescued Risso's together with a dozen Bottlenoses and... They sll teamed up against the Risso's
@@the.aardvark I've heard horror stories from someone who worked at a harbor area where they had harbor poropoises...and a bottlenose pod that would, occasionally, wander in and you'd often find some dead and violated porpoises if they came at the wrong time.
And he was in a position for dealing with kids who would often need explanations for what the dolphins were doing to the smaller ones there...if I remember right, he was working on a ferry at the time as part of a training thing for later work with a cruise line.
Bullying is the least of the problems there...especially since they can crossbreed with several other porpoises and dolphins, though several of them don't have the physical capability to carry the offspring.

Aquatic dlc is completly broken! Look at Zoo Tycoon (from 2001!) - fishes looks like fishes and moves like fishes! In Planet Zoo moves like agonal s*** (I'm aquarist and my eyes bleeding when I see that). Why it looks definitely better in game made 20 years ago??? Another problem - aquatic plants; 3 or 5 species only??? Another - saltwater or freshwater - no matter! Is there any chance to Frontier fix it in future?
