- It was misty and very cold in the early morning hours of March 17, 1981, as Sergeant Russell Yokum of the Saint Helens, Oregon, Police Department drove on patrol on Highway 30 west of the Columbia River. Saint Helens is a small mill town about 20 miles northwest of Portland.
At 4:03 a.m., Yokum's attention was drawn to a bright light that was moving upriver, easterly, toward the Portland Airport 20 miles away.
Aircraft passed over here regularly on their way to the airport. But this light was extraordinarily bright, lighting up the river like daylight. Yokum was immediately convinced that the light was not from an aircraft. He radioed headquarters, and drove on to Saint Helens to look at the light from the county courthouse on the banks of the Columbia River, which afforded a clear view.
Other law enforcement officers, Ricky Cade and Tom McCartney of the
Oregon State Police, and a few citizens, met Yokum at the county
courthouse. By this time, Yokum was in radio contact with Donald Askins,
who bore the CB handle "Lucky 13." Askins, who was located in a house
across the river in Washington state in Ridgefield, southeast of Saint
Helens, had picked up the police radio traffic. He said that he, too,
had seen the light, and was seeing it now. The light was stationary over
the river turning the whole area into daylight.
There was initial confusion as the officers in Saint Helens described
the light to Askins. They claimed it was bobbing up and down. Askins
insisted that the light he saw was stationary. Later, it was proved that
the light the officers saw during the first moments of the sighting from
the courthouse was a manmade light on Sauvie Island across the river.
Fog, variable that night, had created the bobbing effect. Finally,
understanding their confusion, the officers turned and looked to the
south. There was the light Askins was watching! It was low and standing
out starkly over the river where there were few, and only then, faint
lights.
Askins had heard the light emitting an eerie, extremely loud sound, and
the officers set up a portable tape recorder 18 inches from their police
radio to record their conversation and the sound, should it recur.
Askins volunteered to dangle his CB microphone out of the window of the
rented house he was in so that he could transmit the sound to the
officers. The police drove to a nearby high bluff that gave them an
excellent view. The ensuing 30 minutes, recorded on tape, and presented
to the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) for analysis,
presents a fascinating, real-life drama of puzzled human beings
attempting to understand the unknown. The tape does not indicate who was speaking, but the excitement is palpable.

Truth. I had an extraordinary sighting in '79 w/two other people - one that changed how I felt about a lot of things and in a good way.
Apart from the amazing features of the craft itself, I'm even more struck by the way all 3 of us got the feeling that 'it' knew we were there. I was even wistful when it left - almost sad. (And I'm definitely not saying I wish it had taken me! 😂)

I've seen a huge triangle, a sphere that split in two, and recently I saw a cylinder with sphere's but I emailed MUFON. They said it was the satellites. I had some video they didn't want to see it

grew up in Gresham, Oregon in the 70's / 80's. when i was around 8 or 9 (late 70s), my friend and i saw a bright orange "disc" come down out of the sky and descend into the forest below. we lived up on a hill. it came back out and hovered several times, finally shooting up into the sky like a reverse shooting star! i'll never forget that day. what was it? no idea, but it would be very tough for any person or vehicle to travel that fast. reverse shooting star!!!

Those vehicles use artificial gravity for propulsion. There are two modes - hovering and acceleration. All they do is alter the space around them. My relatives had one hover over their front porch for quite a while in the 1950s, in the midwest. When it left it accelerated 'like a buillet' they said. I have an elec. engr. and physics background and figured out what they're doing to the space to accelerate that hard and not injure the occupants.
The key technical observation is that space (often called the Vacuum) has a default impedance of 377 ohms, and has a Vacuum Permittivity and a Vacuum Permeability (you can look those up on wiki). What that all means is that space is a dielectric.
Dielectrics can be polarized - the constituents of a dielectric are called 'dipoles'. Space is a dipole medium and the vehicles apply accelerations to the particles in their hull for neutralizing gravity (hover mode) or propulsion - they alter the conditions of the dielectric, which is otherwise randomly ordered.
The germans began work on this tech in the 1930s/1940s.

Don’t want you to think we’ve got a screw loose. ‘Sometimes I wonder...”. Exactly how my dad and his buddies used to talk to each other circa 1981.
I was one of several hundred lucky people who saw the "Flying V" UFO in Putnam County, NY in the early 1980s. Reports came out of the Danbury, CT area at the time as well. This array of V-formation lights moved slowly across the sky, looking like small, but very bright halogen lights. As it passed overhead, it made no sound, besides perhaps a very low humming that was practically inaudible. When it continued due North, the lights dimmed and changed into several different colors. It was impossible to tell if it was one craft, or several smaller ones. If it was one craft, it would be the size of two football fields. I'll never forget it. I don't talk about it very much anymore, since people who have not seen such a phenomenon usually dismiss the report as a joke.
Dec 27 1974 ,I was 17 my friend was 16 we were at my family's camp house in Dayton Texas.Out in the woods ahalf mile from the trinity river.crickets and frogs super loud .the little cabin was deep in tall pines down the side of a wooded hill.suddenly something passed over the cabin,the wildlife went dead silent.Whatever it was had a sound ive never heard .We ran outside to see wtf it was.we never got to see it because of the trees we never saw a light but it stayed around moving around the area for 20 mins .left and came back and stayed another 15 mins then slowly flew outta ear shot...This is weird it's been 48 years and hearing this is freaking me out..playing it thru my amp and closing my eyes it sounds like what I remember...i never could really discribe exactly the noise except for nothing else I've ever heard before except maybe now.
Was definitely good experience and also is telling that the sound have an energy frequency that freaked the wild life or the craft in the area opened a different dimension doors that exist in isolated areas for the craft to manipulate through and that could be the reason why everything went quite. I have been trying for ever to get answers and I think is a good possibility.

Myself and some friends of mine back in high school in the mid-90s saw a giant blue ball floating above that area but on the other side of the river, what was weird is that we all saw a different things.

I spotted those orange lights in Colorado on top of Wolf Creek pass. It was 3 in the morning, no traffic on the road so I stopped my rig got out and looked at one of those lights right over head. It was really bright I had to stop because I could not see to drive at this point. That thing made no sound at all. After a couple of seconds the light joined up with a nother one and flew at tree top level away from my stopped rig very fast, no sound was heard. Those two balls of light followed my truck all the way down the pass and every time I exceeded a certain speed, one of them would suddenly appear in front of me and almost blinded me for ING me to slow the truck down. This happened in 1994. And the lights were seen all the way from the top of Wolf Creek pass to the next town on that road.

My two brothers and I were out in the front yard of our rural home around 9:30 P.M. I dragged them outside to watch a meteor show. It really wasn't that impressive but still interesting. Just as we were going to go inside, I spotted three lights in a triangular shape slowly moving across the sky. It wasn't the lights that caught me, but the fact that there was a huge displacement of the sky. I called my brothers back and we were watching it. I moved slowly in a North-west direction, and there was no sound, I mean even the crickets stopped. Our parents came home and asked what we were doing and we pointed it out. We stood watching it for about 5 minutes more, it was my Mom who noticed that the corner street light was out, as well as our house lights. It went over a cow field across the street, hovered a few seconds, the three lights were replaced by four white lights and it looked like circular lights came on around the edge. We never heard a sound, but it went straight up, and we felt a down pressure which stirred up some dust from the driveway, and it was gone. The next day home from school, sitting at the dinner table I was talking about going outside with a camera and see if it comes back. My Dad damn near yelled that No one was going out after dark. That lasted about 2 weeks, we had found out that the neighbor across the street had lost 14 head of cattle, they just "died" was all that was said. It wasn't until 5 years later his son had brought in some pictures of the cattle, it looked like they were squished. Along with a utility shed and half a 12 row plow was bent and twisted, right over the same area where whatever it was sot up from.
Wow! You had a real alien encounter. I’m a UFO expert. I can tell you that these aliens travel across many galaxies to visit earth on a daily bases. They need to eat earth’s cows to survive. Also they must have kinky sex with farmers wives. Sex with farmers wives is their religious ritual.
How exactly the cows and stuff were squished? Like from downward pressure from the object's "engines"? By the way, one of the most interesting videos I've seen in person is " UFO over Samara" video. But to this day I can't say with 100% accuracy if it's an UFO or just weird droplet of water reflecting stuff around. My uncle filmed it, I posted it and next day got international calls from South American scientists. That's what I call interesting.
@@Mike-yy4ll I have no idea, I was maybe 12 at that time. My thoughts are the damage came from a tornado that happened a week before he brought in the pictures. I guess squished is the wrong word, twisted would be a more apt description.

As a teen living in a small town near Vancouver Canada during the mid 80’s, I would often see orange orbs or patterns of individual point lights in the night sky as I walked home from the bus stop. I often had my Walkman on, so never noticed any noise. On one occasion, I got home and could still see the light pattern through my bedroom window. Woke up the family and we all watched it for a bit. After about 10 minutes of no movement, the formation suddenly and quickly moved out of sight. First time I ever saw movement. These sightings happened for a few months then stopped completely. Never witnessed anything like it again, sadly.
Which town was that? I used to live in Vancouver BC in the late 80s/ early 90s...before returning to Ireland. Great times there.

The one I saw up close was dead silent. In fact when it came down and stopped, all the country night time sounds stopped too. Not a cricket chirped or a bull frog croaked. It was freaky.
After it left it took about 1 to 2 minutes before the first cricket started up again, then slowly another, then the frogs started and sound went back to normal.
It's likely you were in a portal. They travel thru them between dimensions - and portals are believed to move.

I have read about quite a few close UFO sightings that say all the insects go completely silent. Really strange! Crickets are extremely sensitive to vibrations, and will go silent when they sense the slight vibrations made by approaching predators. Maybe these UFOs produce very slight vibrations in their immediate surroundings.

"Looks like the sun coming up"...This is exactly what my family saw in 1966 or 1967, but it was in the evening, still daylight. I saw it first through our living room window. "What is that? " . My father, mother and siblings together went outside to see it better. It was across the valley to the west. It traveled across a field then rose higher and stopped above a hill which started there. Remained in place for several minutes; I had binoculars and saw horizontal line movement as though it was spinning. Then it just wasn't there anymore. No sound that I remember, but estimate it was 1/4 to a half mile away
I saw that from my bedroom window as a kid. Same dark orange fading to red ball right behind my neighbor's house. Sat there for a good half hour to 45 minutes. As a kid I thought it was the sunrise until my parents said the sun doesn't rise in the west. I of course argued with them because I saw it. Or I thought I had.
In the summer of 1977, I was about 11 years old and lived near St. Louis, MO, when I witnessed a UFO. It was one or two o'clock in the morning, and my friend, who saw it first, drew my attention to it. At the time, I didn't know what I was looking at, as it hovered about 50-yards above our heads. It stayed stationary as we watched in awe! Only a few seconds may have passed, but it seemed like an awfully long time, and I turned to look at my friend and asked what it was? I then looked back up and it was gone. I do not recall hearing a noise. People laugh or feel uneasy when I tell this story, but it's true.
Shortly after this event, I experienced several unexplained encounters, which occurred within close proximity of where the UFO sighting occurred. I'll share two stories: The burning figure and the ball of fire. The figure appeared in my room, as a brilliant light, which resembled fire. I could see the figure, but it wasn't recognizable. It didn't move around; it stood still. I presumed it was watching me. I began screaming and the figure vanished. There was no sign of fire, and my parents, whose room was next to mine, said they didn't hear me screaming.
The ball of fire happened to an older brother, within the same home. He was in his mid-twenties at the time, and said he was sitting alone in the dining room one evening and a ball of fire came from nowhere and right toward him! Again, no sign of fire, only an experience. I don't know whether these occurrences are related, but I haven't experienced them since, and my brother, who is now deceased, never mentioned having any other experiences, before he died, which was about 10-years later.

Wow your easily scared
These craft are usually silent because they bend space around themselves in order to move, and in doing so are inside a vacuum. So they are silent.
When they are stationary or moving slowly, they may not need to warp space as harshly, and so sound waves can still reach the observer.
You’d expect the sound them make to resemble any frequency of hum, as they use electro magnetism to bend pace around them and create a gravity wave that they direct through a wave guide outward around the craft.
A soldier once approached a downed UFO and said it was humming like a guitar amplifier that’s been unplugged from the guitar. It’s just a steady static buzz, the frequency of which would change depending on the degree to Which it is bending space around it.
There are as may reports on loud noises as there are on absolutely silent crafts. At this stage, it seems they can go silent at will, but must make noise at key moments in order to function. And no, no one knows how they work.

That's not true at all, they obviously use corn flakes in a discombobulation matrix to propel baby mice at high velocity from their aft ports while sucking in gold dust from the atmosphere for fuel.
For the more technically inclined, I ran a quick spectral analysis of the sound of the UFO only (no voices from the policemen). I get the strongest peak around 820 Hz, a secondary peak around 463 Hz, and another one around 1150 Hz

Usually reports are that they make no sound at all. Never heard audio of one. Ever. I've been studying them out of curiosity for 60 years.
Yes mostly but there are reports of humming, buzzing and electrical interference. Passport to Magonia documented several reports of sound.
20 years ago , UK about 1.30 pm lovely sunny day , clear skies , I was outside talking to a neighbour on my driveway , I heard this noise above me I looked up , I could not see anything at all , the noise was like a humming sort of noise , and it was right above me , I heard it from start to Finnish , it took about a minute or so ,and sounded real close , going very slow and yet I could not see anything , how can it be invisible , I will never forget that day . We both heard it .
The "Looks like the sun coming up" just reminded me of something I hadn't thought of in years... I had a guy come to my house in rural N.E. once to relive a memory. My house was located on a dead end dirt road on the top of a hill way out in the countryside. My F-in-Law, a professor of science at a prestigious eastern U. said it was the best star gazing spot he'd seen in the East because it was so dark and on a hilltop. That guy I mention knocked on my door on weekend afternoon and asked if he could come in to show his family the house where he used to come every fall to rent a room for the weekend to go deer hunting. He walked over to the living room picture window, facing southeast, and said to his family, "that's where that strange light came at me." He then told me the story: He was standing there around watching the end of day, with the sun already below the horizon to the west and darkness coming on quickly. He noticed a bright yellow light coming from the south in an horizontal manner, it kept getting bigger and bigger, closer and closer until he was afraid it would crash into the house, but then it stopped in the road in front of the house, then changed from yellow to green to blue, pulsating slightly. He said it took up the whole window. It had no sound. Then as he stood there, it closed in the way an eyelid would and it was gone. He thought the whole event lasted less than a minute. He stood there as confused as he was all those years (about 20) earlier. Turns out he was a lineman for the state electric company. He told me that he'd seen every kind of man-made and natural light in his career up on the poles. And, he'd never seen anything like that. He called just about every agency he could think of at the time, including two air force bases with about 50 miles. Nobody had any ideas or comments. He was persistent and finally he got passed on to someone (in DC if memory serves) who said there had been a rocket launch that day in VA or some such place. So, he stopped calling, but I could see it hadn't let him it go.

My friend and I saw and heard something extremely similar in 2011. We mutually described the sound as some kind of large industrial machinery spinning up or grinding, but we were in the middle of the woods and miles away from any town. Up until that point there was plenty of activity from nearby wildlife, but it all went silent when this thing showed up. It was also orange at the time the sound was loudest. At its closest point, we saw this object only 20 feet away - then it was bright white, and conical with no distinguishing features or nav lights. No wind. It appeared to be interested in us specifically. I had no idea audio like this existed until today. For what it’s worth, I’m a robotics engineer and fascinated with most hardware I come across. I fly drones in my spare time. This thing was genuinely unexplainable

I heard them early one morning as well, they were milling around camouflaged in the clouds and were leaving earth one by one with about a 15 minute delay betwwen each one seemingly to build up power. They were about 2 kilometres away and at around 1500 to 2000 ft in the air from my house. The exact same sounds like a huge diesel locomotive motor was made as they accelerated up into the atmoshere.. I also got sunburn from looking up trying to see them. The recording in this footage is very accurate.

Anti-gravity engines make no sound at all. They don't have to "rev their engines" up. Every witness to UFO activity all say there was no sound as the UFOs went by.

Very interesting document, maybe the only UFO sound ever recorded. When they talk about it emits like an orange glowing light I believe it, because myself between 2011 and 2017 period in Spain not far from the mediterranean coast I have seen like in 4 occasions this kind of orange glowing objects that appear out from nowhere, normally it's more than one and after a few minutes they vanish.
I saw orange lights, orb in the sky,.just like you, in Croatia around 1993...They showed up in moment, like from other dimension, it was 6 or 8, i can't remember, they showed up one by one, 3 or 4 in two lines, in the begining it was small orange red light like star, and then one by one started to pulsating and expanding in round form, like big orbs, size on the end was big as sun...and after that they come back in the small size.like in the beginning...it was amazing, bright orange colour, maybe with a little bit of red...and then just vanished...It was amazing, without any sound...it last just about maybe 50 seconds...

On July 3rd, 2019, at approximately 9:15 PM, my daughter and I were standing on the third floor balcony of her apartment in Brighton Brooklyn, a ten minute walk to the beach and boardwalk leading to Coney Island Amusement Park.
It was a clear night and I had just pointed out what I took to be Venus when suddenly, from out of the west, there appeared three teardrop shaped disks flying in a triangular formation. They were dimly lit and silent, no more than 200 feet above the houses across from us. Then, without slowing down or breaking formation, they changed direction to our side of the street and we lost sight of them as they flew northeast toward the Belt Parkway.
Our sighting lasted about 5 seconds. Wanting to be as objective as possible, I eliminated what I knew they were not: military or commercial aircraft, helicopters, blimps, balloons, birds, shooting stars, Klieg lights, or fireworks. That left drones, but they lacked the typical drone shapes and were eerily silent. The hairs on our arms were standing. We feel that we had witnessed something extraordinary.
I was flying my single engine Piper east to west along the south shore of Long Island in 2015 when I looked south and saw a UFO flying next to me about 100 ft away. It was shaped like the Liberty bell and not much bigger. It paced me for about 2 minutes. Then it disappeared. I had another pilot with me and he saw it too. We never figured out what it was.
Bell shaped and bulb shaped UAP's are two types that have been reported by pilots. @@Thinks-First

I can't remember the name of the LP but I recognized the song right away.
We as humans have made just about every sound there is to make. Sometimes it feels as if people have forgotten a certain word exists. Coincidence. Remember that word? Doesn't seem like you do. Along with a lot of other people.

This sound is very similar to the sound of the flying saucer that appears in the opening of that old series THE INVADERS!!!
As most of us know, the norm is "it made no sound" when it comes to UFO encounters. So this recording is one of the minority of sightings where there is a sound. It's like these objects like to play with our heads.

And not to steal from the story, but I have seen several UFOs, and the first happened because it made noise and I heard it. It made sound like bacon frying, except it was very loud, I looked all around. I turned around and saw a V shaped chevron fly over my head. It wasn't big, maybe 15-20' wingspan, about 100' ft high, and flying 15-20 mph max. I watched it till it flew out of sight. But the only reason I saw it was because of the loud noise it made.

I'm from Southern Alberta, Canada. I was out on our back deck one night, having a cigarette, and I noticed a small dot in the sky, a dot that looked like it just didn't belong there. I watched if for a few minutes, as it looked like it was blinking. At first I thought it was just a plane, but it wasn't moving, it was just sitting there. After a few minutes, it started moving upwards, very slowly. It went up a ways, then disappeared. But with in a few seconds, it reappeared, but just left of where it had been. It then moved horizontally, very slowly, you could hardly tell it was moving, still blinking. Then it disappeared again, and did not reappear. This happened over the course of around 10 minutes, the time it took me to finish my cigarette. I didn't mention it to my husband, but I went out the next night, at the same time, to see if there was anything to see, but there was nothing, nor the next night. I haven't been out recently. There's likely a plausible explanation, but I've never had any doubt that we are not alone in this universe...if WE'RE hear, on this planet, there must be other life forms elsewhere. Just thought I'd share.
My dad was friends with these guys, I remember him talking about this and from what I remember there is more evidence that was collected by the Feds afterward, I'm pretty sure there was a video somewhere that a civilian that lived along the river took.
I’ve seen a 2 or 3 meter sphere ufo with swirling colors. It was stationary and then it took off and was gone in 1 second.
That happened like in the year 2010.
That sound was eerily familiar sounding. Even though it was hard to decipher because of the quality, it kind of reminded me of those sounds from the sky people were hearing 10 or so years ago. I even heard it before a long with a "screeching" sound like the man said that was reminiscent of sliding a heavy desk across the floor. I remember some people were blaming it on underground tunnel boring.
It seems that there's many forms of alien tech out there and some specifically have been seen many times while they conduct what they do. Some of the machines are said to be self replicating drones that run in an ever evolving automation always getting more advanced as time goes on

In person, the sound these objects give off (when they do) is much more intense and fuller. It's like recording a Saturn 5 rocket launch on walkie talkie radios- you just get a shadow of the event.

NM I’ve heard this before with pixelated objects above cattle ranches. To the naked eye you cannot see it but you can hear this! 😮 I never did stay outside something gave me the off vibes and I went straight inside. Still the night was off… I’ve shared my story with family but this was the exact same noise I heard!
Gosh, that has to be one of the best pieces of evidence on record - and I have never seen or heard of it until now! Police with a tape recorder, marking time references, plus (apparently) other witnesses in the town. Extraordiary!

One brisk clear sunday morning around 9am , i was enjoying my tea and toast on my deck when i happened to gaze up thinking what a beautiful morning . What i saw was an enormous triangle in the clear blue sky . But it looked like it was just skirting the atmosphere . There was no noise . It came in from the northeast and turned to the east and disappeared from view .

In Melbourne in the 70s a young pilot flying a Cessna from Melbourne to King Island radios back to the controller, asking if he could see anything on the radar. Saying it was right over him I’ve heard the sound what the controller heard it’s the same sound, but without the metallic sound. That was the last we ever heard from him ❤
Using a spectrum analyzer on the cell phone (android "spectroid"), the sound appears to be mostly 1000 Hz. This is very near the Earth's NMR frequency perhaps.
Whatever it was that passed over my head in the 90’s made no noise. It was a black triangle with 3 lights on its belly moving slow.

I just recorded the frequency of this UFO sound and on a meter got 897.63 hertz , which is the square of the N. Latitude of the Great Pyramid of Egypt! Exact N Lat = 29.979083 Squared = 898.745 - Almost exact and my meter is probably not exact

This particular recording is still one of the best articles of evidence. Acoustic engineer can separate the sound in order to generate some layering. Once you have some layering then you can try to match each layer to a list of known sounds or something close to it and you will be able to deduce what is making the sound and why. I can tell you now that it’s definitely not mechanical. It is more consistent with a increase in energy consumption or transmission. What exactly is causing these differences , is what needs to be explained.

The audio recording of a hovering ufo resembles a similar recording of the Billy Meier ufo (which was much clearer than this audio over a police mike/radio)
Both perhaps can be simulated by a set of many relatively high audio frequency sources that are moving relatively independently in frequency and phase but over an ensemble of a significant fraction of a second they are in sync long enough to produce a low beat frequency noted as a rumbling engine.
I'm reminded of the U2 song Bullet the Blue Sky , Everytime they describe a reddish orange Glow of the object as sung in the song 🔅

Hi all, feel reluctant to share it but somehow duty-bound to ; seen UFOs twice now in my life, I'm in my fifties.. feel lucky to actually know for myself the truth of this. Saw the orange bell/orb, it was fuzzy, indistinct appearing to me during an emotionally intense moment only adding to my confusion and astonishment. I didn't really believe this one for years but I've since been convinced by corroborating testimonies. The first I witnessed was clear. A quickly moving point of light, suddenly, impossibly changing trajectory and accelerating and dissappearing almost instantly. From witnessing these obviously non-human caused phenomenon as real and integrating this vital knowledge about ourselves we can reasonably extrapolate many ideas concerning all aspects of our planet and it's life, indeed even the entire solar-system. These are the same sort of sounds that were recorded from a UFO by Billy Meier in around 1976/77. Meier was in contact with the occupants of the UFO at the time, had been aboard their ship which they called a Beamship. Radiohead later used a part of the recording at the start of the track Planet Telex on the first track of their seminal album The Bends.

Pretty amazing for sure! The ones I've seen were dead silent and nature (crickets, frogs ect.) seemed to go silent as well while they flew over.

you guys have to consider people seeing experimental / new technology. jets, helicopters, rockets, etc... that people will see these and not know what they where but it was human.

Most reports of UFO (UAP) sightings say there was no sound whatsoever from the crafts. These recorded sounds however match the same sounds that Billy Meijer has recorded from his Pleiadean ships. Makes sense that there's many different types of power sources from many types of alien species all at different levels of technology.
And yet almost all witnesses say the crafts are silent.
