Damn dude, that came out beautiful. I love how you kept Grandpa's fix, it makes it truly and uniquely yours more than any customization you could have done.
keep the memory on!
Thanks man. I remember him making it for me when I got it so there is no way its leaving. I know I said 20 years ago but then I remembered it is 2019. This was more like 1989!
Duuuude it's finally done! This project has added so much value to "toy grade" rc for me, it totally changed my views on these kinds of toys :)
Thanks! It was a big project.
You tore this out the park; put so much love into it, it looks great!
Thank you so much. This thing was a dream build.
👍 Came out like a BEAUTY!
Thanks buddy, it was a long time coming.
Turned out great buddy! Looks like you painted it in the Enterprise shuttle bay! 🤣🤣🤣
Hahah! I know!
Nice paint job 👌
Thank you
GREAT WORK as always!!!!
Thank you!
Amazing work! 😮⚠️
Thank you!
Excellent job- especially the custom work of the hella fog lights- you are the Chip Foose of RC!
interested in doing one on consignment?
Haha! Thanks. Sadly no, this truck, if billed, would have cost more than doing this to a real D21.
Absolutely Perfect!!! As always you nailed it. This is a work of art to be proud of..
Tamiyacowboy
Thanks man. It was a long road but I am in love.
Well done, love the paint job!!
Thanks!
great job as usual! cant wait to see the running vid!
Thanks!
great to see new episode !
I know I have been so busy. I was in China, then back at my moms visiting and then busy with work and then the RC4WD event!
Hey bro I love your video's and your channel you should really make a tutorial vidoe on installing headlights in the bandit I know a lot of people want to do this but there is no tutorials out there. I have 5 bandits that I would love to do this to. I kow you briefly showed how you did it but a step by step guide would be helpful. Thanks and keep up the great content
Thank you! Yeah part 9 here shows how I installed the lenses but the lighting can go two ways. If you do what I did and replace broken electronics, then it is easy to get the controller that I show in episode 39. If you are running the stock electronics you can tap into the power switch and then make your own harness like I cover in episode 33.
Just amazing! As always :P
Thank you!
😳😳😳😳😳👍that came out great...I’ve always been a fan of the Bandit, I wonder if a 10th scale version can be re-created with a Grasshopper and a Tamiya King Cab body😏
The KC is longer but man, you bring up a great point! It is basically that isnt it!
Or a Kyosho Double Dare body...
I'm making a 1/10th Bandit with a vintage Kyosho Ultima Outlaw chassis and a repop TBG King Cab body. Just waiting on the warmer weather to paint the body.
Awesome !
Thanks!
I see, how to put it in a sideline is such way, isn't it? Thank you very much^ - ^
Any time! The final video is coming soon!
niiiiice!!
Thank you!
Why didn't you use Tamiya pants? I hear they or some of the best in the business.
Weirdly, I hate them. I may be the only person on earth. I have always had trouble with them and they seem to be hard to get when I need one. I have used these testors ones since the 1980's and have never had any problems. It seriously has to be me doing something stupid.
Wow. That looks really professional. What airbrush and compressor do you use?
Oh boy, I dont know. Hhaha! It was pretty cheap. I can check when I get home.
AMPRO Engineering cheap is just what I’m looking for.
I got the Harley Davis version. Originally had the black with yellow stickers. I am pretty sure the Harley version came toward the end of the bandit. Do you have much info on it?
Yeah I think it was also. I dont know more sadly. I used to have MIB spare body for one. It was really nice looking.
How much is a cheap airbrush setup and what components do I need to use it?
Mine was about $100 and should come with everything you need. Just paint, thinner and practice.
Beautiful work! The bandit I’m working on is missing the rear shocks, any suggestions?
Jeez, make one or look for parts trucks. They are impossible to find replacements for. I was lucky that my other project has missing rears that the ones from this truck are going on.
AMPRO Engineering seems yours had screw on tops to hold them in place. I can go with better shocks but I don’t have a 3D printer is that something you can make? You are the man at this help me out! On another note I just realized how rare the super fast traxx are these days. Fortunately I have the remote and mines in great condition besides a little sticker peel and looks like a dog bit a hole in the canopy 😂 other than that it’s a beautiful piece
Only one I could find (super traxx) sold for 650 3 years ago
Ps im on Shapeways buying a set now
Please send me pictures when you are done! This has been on of my favorite builds.
@@AMPROEngineering ok where do i send pics? Im currently doing a paint job on a bandit and super bandit. The lights would be perfect on them
Question. My bandit is in ok condition sticker wise but I need my chrome redone which I am working on . Should I keep the original stickers on it? Your work just accentuates the body lines on this hard body Nissan , that I like. Stickers hide the lines. I do need to order the roll cage you offer though one of my connections at the bed that clips in is broke
Plastic chroming is so hard to find. Seems like the people I have used in the past are awful. If you find someone good, let me know! I happen to like the original decals and if you can salvage yours, do it. If not, MCI Racing sells them too! If you want to go custom, who can fault you? This truck looks so good like this!
AMPRO Engineering yes I agree! Don’t you have the roll cage on your site for sale? I’m thinking I’m just going to use a chrome “ish” paint yours turned out well. I’ll have to look at the decals hopefully they have some or can make some for the super fast traxx. Mines not horrible for the age but I’d like new ones
Molotow Liquid Chrome markers work surprisingly well even on larger surfaces and I just revived a chrome Bandit window with dish soap, chrome polish and dish soap again.
So how long do you have to wait to see the outcome of the video I just watched?
Should be tomorrow night.
K awesome I can’t wait I forgot about these trucks
