    THANK YOU so much for this comparison! After deciding to get a Blendtec I wasn't sure which one to choose. Now, after having seen the different controls, I know which one I want!

      Hey Chio Astudillo! The BEST price on the Blendtec Classic is the refurbished one (it's like new, you can't tell the difference!). It's $259 with the four side jar and $279 with the wildside jar (recommended). If you use our links from the video (BlenderBabes.com/Blendtec) or our website, you will receive free shipping AND a free gift! Right now it's a $10 Amazon Gift Card. :D Hope that helps! HAPPY BLENDING!

    Having recently acquired a Total Classic, I though there was something wrong with it but after seeing all 4 of these hopping and dancing around at the start of the blend cycle; I'm now relieved. I honestly thought my blender was possessed by demons. Thanks for the demo!

    Awesome review! I would love to have seen the Stealth blender in operation by itself to get a sense of how much noise dampening there is actually. With the understanding that the Stealth is designed for commercial (i.e. hard daily driver use), If purchasing for "at home" use I would have an issue with a $1500 blender having only a 3 yr warranty while its lesser siblings have 7/8. My Classic came with an 8 yr warranty some years ago.

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  10 років тому

      Thanks Biz Diva! We are going to do a separate Stealth Review soon as we can, it's on the list. Yes the warranty can only be a commercial warranty as it stands now b/c it's actually a commercial blender now available for home use. Shouldn't have a problem but I understand the dilemma! :)

    Hi! Do all the blenders make the same type of smoothie consistency? I get a smoothie from a place that uses the Stealth blender, but not looking to spend $1500! Does the blade / power matter? Or will all smoothies come out the same regardless.

    Hi
    I live all the way away in Ireland!! Unfortunately this is a problem as I would love to own a Vitamix Pro series 750 or Blendtec Designer 725 but I cannot get them through either company directly as they don't deliver to Ireland. Amazon dealers and other 3rd parties don't deliver either. Can you help???

    Are these blenders good for someone who wants to make a smoothie every day as well as making almond milk and some other stuff occasionally. I'm looking for a blender that's not going to wear out very fast especially if I spend $400+ on it.

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  10 років тому +1

      You found the right blender! These blenders are commercial grade and meant to last for 15+ years! My personal use one has over 2000 blends on it and I make a smoothie every day, plus lots of milk substitutes. The best deal is on their reconditioned blenders, you get free shipping plus a $20 Amazon Gift Card! Check out our website for more info. :)

    Does the jug have any safety feature like locking in place and is there a lot of
    play (rotating) in the base seated position? So if a child rocked the jug while running can it damage the gear cog?

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  10 років тому

      Great question Glenn. The jug does not lock into the place (like the Ninja). It plugs directly into the motor (direct drive) which is why it is able to get so much more power than other blenders. There is some slight rotation/play but we find it's less than the Vitamix jar in seated position when running. Yes, if a child rocked the jug while it was running, you might strip or damage the gear. HAPPY BLENDING! ~Blender Babes

    Thank you for the review. Really well presented. I dont like the background video though :) You were a great help to compare different devices. You are so lucky in the US. Here in Europe the prices are double and only very limited models are offered. Besides.... the US model doesnt work in Europe due to 220-240V at 50Hz power grid were in the US you run 120V power usage. Any suggestion were to buy Blendtec in Europe, e.g. UK or Germany? Thank you.

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  9 років тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback plumi75! Yes we've heard they are much more expensive in Europe when you have to purchase the 220v. We know some people have tried using a transformer and the 120v model, however this is not recommended by Blendtec. Sorry! Wish we could be more help. :-/

  • @123wmc
    @123wmc 4 роки тому

    For people in realville, that have 18" high upper cabinets, the main benefit of the Blendtec over Vitamix is the height. The convenience of keeping the blender on the countertop makes the Blendtec an every day practical unit. You do not need dozens of predefined speeds. It only takes a few weeks to master the speed for all that you will do with the blender. The blender may do a 1,000 different things but 99.999% will use this blender for 3 or 4 things...99.999% of the time. So paying for all the software is not something a veteran Blendtec user would do. Paying for the tall silent unit would mean pulling it out to the front of the countertop to lift the lid. The enclosure lifts up which works in commercial environments but not so practical in your kitchen. If the blender is a pain to use, you will not use it. The classic is simple and has all the power you need. My classic has been used everyday for 11 years and is showing no wear and tear. The sound is a problem but wearing your own ear protection is the "keep it simple solution"

    Is the "pulse" always the same speed? Or can it be adjusted? If not, what speed is "pulse?" Thanks!

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  9 років тому

      Great question Yodaismycopilot! Sorry we missed this and for the delay! The pulse speed can be adjusted on the Stealth and the newest Designer 725 model, but not the 3 other models in this comparison. The PULSE speed for those is high, but you can adjust it by how lightly and how long you tap it.

    I had a ninja, it sucked. At my job there is a blendtec which is powerful and does make smooth smoothies, but I decided to go with a vitamix and I'm so happy I did. Vitamixes are so much more versatile. Mine was $500 because $1000 is getting a little ridiculous. I definitely like it more than the blendtec. The tamper stick makes a big difference.

    • @__Paul__
      @__Paul__ 8 років тому +3

      +Happily Vegan Yes, I agree with you that the tamper makes a big difference, in that you are manually assisting a blender that has a price tag in which you should not have to manually assist. As far your claim that your Vitamix is "more versatile", that is complete BS. Vitamix is far better than ANY average blender out there. However, when the Vitamix is compared to Blendtec, the Vitamix is laughable. Their antiquated design, from the jar, to their blade assembly, to their impractical shape and dimensions that bar it from fitting under most cabinets, leave Vitamix competing with average blenders, rather than competing with Blendtec. The Blendtec does everything a Vitamix can do, and run circles around it. Even Vitamix knows that their product is inferior, which was proven when they tried to copy Blendtec's designs, and it resulted in the largest patent infringement in the state of Utah, at a whopping $33 million.

    • @happilyvegan6438
      @happilyvegan6438 8 років тому

      +Not Sure it's funny that people get so worked up over blenders, but all I know is that using a blendtec for a year vs a vitamix for a year, would take the vitamix every time. blendtec was inferior in my experience. im really not trying to be rude but I'm sure you will take this the wrong way anyway simply because this is on the internet but.... if a person is too lazy to use a tamper stick because they think the amount they pay should make the entire task effortless on their part then that is ridiculous and lazy.

    • @firdevsyucel9601
      @firdevsyucel9601 8 років тому

      +Happily Vegan The reason they get so worked up and angry is because they know how much more practical the vitamix is than the blendtec. They both give you the same results, however, with the vitamix's included tamper you can do much more.

    How many decibels are Vitamix blenders?

    • @__Paul__
      @__Paul__ 8 років тому

      +T Sheikh Not sure about the decibal comparison with Vitamix, but some of the Blendtecs have potential to be louder (at least at peak power), as some of the Blendtecs have more HP than some Vitamixes. However, their is no comparison on performance with Vitamix, as Blendtec has much better performance and is much easier to clean, scoop thicker ingredients out of, etc.

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  6 років тому

      Hi, John!
      Yes! You can make soup with the Blendtec 600. You would use the 90 second cycle to make your soup, usually 2-3x to make it nice and hot!
      The Blendtec 600 is available only at Costco. The Designer Series are all touchscreen - and both 100% automatic (stop by themselves).
      They both also have 4 Pre-Preprogrammed cycles.
      Blendtec 625 - Smoothie, Ice Cream, Whole Juice, Hot Soup and 6-speed capacitive touch slider. Blendtec 600 - Smoothie, 60-seconds, 90-seconds, 180-seconds and a capacitive touch slider + pulse
      If your on the market for another blender, here are a few Blendtec’s currently on sale. www.blenderbabes.com/blendtec

    Are these realistic tests? You don't even bring the cost of the hi end blenders into account. How many people can afford a $1100 professional blender? Why do we always have to be so class conscious in our comparisons!? The question is do you get a slightly smoother blend at 3x the price? Perhaps, but is that a realistic comparison for the average consumer? I purchased the blendtec and Oster Versa 1100 the blendtec was 3.5 times the cost not 3.5 times better by a long shot. The point is a commercial kitchen or company testers can justify these costs based on return on investment, or the fact that they get them for free but not the average consumer.

    • @BlenderBabes
      @BlenderBabes  9 років тому

      Ardeshir Lashkary Those are good points. We always recommend the Blendtec original Total Blender Classic and Designer that are certified refurbished (and discontinued) b/c they are the best possible price of any Blendtec model. See here www.blenderbabes.com/all-refurbished-blendtec. We also offer free shipping plus a free gift with promo code BBGIFT. We shared this video to explain the similarities and differences. The stealth is now sold as a home version (not commercial) which has an 8 year warranty and is $999. Some people require the no noise factor. We do think with the warranty and quality that it's worth the price over lesser quality blends (such as the Oster Versa 1100) that can't do all the things we want our blenders to do or that well. If you are happy with your purchase however, more power to you! We are just here to help you find the best blender for your needs. HAPPY BLENDING! :)

    • @ArdeshirLashkary
      @ArdeshirLashkary 9 років тому

      I own one and I can tell you it 's a well made machine that will take care of most people's needs. Anybody can make a good blender at a cost of $500-600 the trick is to make a blender at high quality and reasonable cost. Unless your selling blenders to IPO sucking millennials.
      FYI here is a review:
      www.cnet.com/products/oster-versa-performance-blender/
      And the warranty is 7 years.

    The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!

      Samar Abdulla Hi! Yes Blendtec makes 220V blenders but you have to buy them from the Blendtec dealer in your country 😊

      Samar Abdulla you can buy 220v from Blendtec (in the USA). Call them. We bought a 220v model and shipped it to family in New Zealand.

    Blenders do not hold well to the base or the table. Appear to be bouncing all over.

      scpumpchump The Bledtec's are lighter blenders than most, the Classic & Signature are only 6 pounds and the Designer is 8. If there's a ton of ice, frozen fruit, or hard veggies like carrots they will move around a bit on a countertop initially until they've broken down the ingredients a bit. I usually hold it for the first few seconds then let it be. :)

    The Vitamix is much quieter, has a stronger motor and is so simple to use compared to the not-user-friendly Total Blender Classic, which has these ridiculously complex "Programs" that I never used during the entire time that I owned it. I also had to replace the jar (very expensive) because it had rust inside the base of the blade assembly, which was supposed to be a sealed unit (how moisture got inside, I have no idea). Finally, very poor customer service at Blendtec, when I had to replace the jar (it was out of warranty, even though it was obviously a defect).
    Buy a Vitamix instead! I love my Vitamix! It is the best blender in the world, hands down.

      +Randy NoLastName Very interesting and thorough comparison test, thanks for sharing with us and our blender loving community!! Sounds like your Vitamix smoothie needed a little help from the tamper ;) That's our favorite thing about Blendtec, presets that don't need "help" (very often). HAPPY BLENDING!!
