👍 Great explanation! I'm not sure I'll remember the details, but I am sure the Holy Spirit will tug on my heart when I wander away from God's will and towards sin/etc. I continually pray He gives me the power to resist the temptations of this world, and He continues to help me walk closer to Christ.
@michafaine2433 My comment was intended for JoinUsInVR but I'll try and bring myself to intercede for your lost soul and blind eyes to see what they clearly haven't been permitted to behold
This is an excellent explanation explaining the difference between sin, trespassing and iniquity. The only statement, I might disagree with and has no scriptural reference is the "we sin everyday in word, thought or deed." I don't find that in the Word. In fact Galatians 2:20 KJV says, [20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me... And, Romans 6:1-3: [1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? So, my final thought is that the Holy Spirit regenerates us "daily" so we, through Christ can live and walk and think more and more like Jesus. Christ is coming back for His Church without spot or wrinkle. However, if we do commit a sin, we confess it. One other thought. The ultimate sin is rejection of Jesus Christ... The Holy Spirit's work is to bring us to Him. Your final point is unclear about the Holy Spirit and His work to lead us to Christ. 💖
Behold, the second aspect is *transgression* not only *trespassing* ; since it implies willingly to disobey. As it is explained trespassing is not always intentional. Unintentional trespassing is an unconscious sin ; it is not deliberate, but incidental or fateful. Besides, it is our nature that is sinful. The nature of man refers to what distinguishes human beings according to their acts, doings and intentions ; this implies our thoughts, sayings or deeds. Our nature is to be compared and differentiated to our substance and our essence that have different specific philosophical and ontological meanings. The ultimate sin isn't the rejection of Christ but of the Holy Spirit ; since once you reject the Spirit of Grace, there's no way back to God. Matthew 12:31-32 : " *Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men* " " *And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come* ".
@@be_real_truth_matters 1 John 1:8-9 tells us that when we sin , we ought to immediately confess it and repent and because we sin almost everyday, we confess our sins continually everyday
@@ryanmossman3343 things that you know that Jesus wouldnt do like being selfish, disobeying parents, sexual immorality, not reminding someone they have sinned
I don't agree with this exegesis. In most if not all examples there's a Hebrew poetic construct used that implies two things to be equal, where GQ then tears them apart.
*Everything you read in the Bible* . God, Himself, gives the understanding of His Word. Without God revealing His Word to you, you will not understand His written Word, making it a secret to you, even though it is in plain sight. God gives you the understanding when you speak with Him and ask for the understanding. It's very simple so that everyone can do it and so no one has any excuse.
According to you everything we do is sin. That means there’s no difference between someone that smokes cigarettes and someone that steals. Your definition of sin contradicts Roman’s where it states. Where there is no law there is no sin
Do you mean Romans 7:7? That says that as a child before we understood the law, we were innocent. But once we reach an age of accountability and understanding, we then spiritually die in our sin. It has nothing to do with the technicality that cigarettes are not in the Bible. The scripture says our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we should treat it well. It says if anything we do has control over us, it makes us a slave to it, and that we can only have one master, and that Master should be God. God should be first in our lives. Anything that distracts from that is sin on some level. In the same way that a little alcohol is not sinful, but a lot is, I would imagine cigarettes would fall into a similar kind of category. However, a small amount of alcohol can actually be good for the body. But I don't think a small amount of cigarettes are. So perhaps its similar, but not the same. In the end, I think that topics between you and god. Take it to Him in prayer, read scripture, and see what he places on your heart. Are you born again? (John 3:3) How often do you pray to God and read his scripture? ----for reference---- Romans 7:7 NKJV I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
I respect your reply. No I’m not talking about Roman’s 7. I’m talking about doctrines of men modern day Pharisees. I’m not talking about cigarettes I’m talking about tobacco. Chewing cigars and cigarettes. It’s just like anything else. It’s not a biblical issue it’s an issue of wisdom and the Holy Spirit. I smoke about 4 cigars a day. They don’t hinder me in my righteousnes in any way. I’m very healthy. I’m somewhat of a gym rat and very healthy and active physically I’m above average in health of culture and way above for my age. Yet. I still enjoy whiskey cigars and an n n out milk shake a few times a week. I would venture to say that laziness and for some ,, time management does more to hinder our callings and walks then anything. Some can smoke cigarettes occasionally and as much as I personally am not a fan of marijuana (I hate it) or any medication or pills some can even smoke marijuana in moderation and be successful. People have destroyed thier lives and sometimes others with alcohol prescribed medications laziness obesity cigarettes driving and crashing , chasing after money giving to false churches all of the things I just mention none in themselves are sin But people try to make them sins. And create extra burdens and stress oppression. Despair and guilt on people that does not help in overcoming daily struggles.
I'm very happy to see your comment. I honestly want to know the fixation most Christians /Churches have on smoking being a sin leading to hell. It's not mentioned in the Bible but we can deduce it's not healthy so I understand it may not be the best choice HOWEVER...the same can be said for fast food, caffeine and desserts. I've noticed Christians love to harp on smoking but overlook bad eating habits, over indulgence of foods, not fasting and taking narcotics. Just because a doctor prescribes it doesn't make it right in God's eyes. They condemn smokers to hell but overlook their unhealthy habits.
HOW TO BE SAVED Trust Christ Alone 1. Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. He was buried and rose again. He did this to give you the gift of eternal life. 2. We are saved by grace alone, Through faith alone in Christ alone without any works! 3. Once you’ve trusted Christ alone you are eternally secure 4. Once saved always saved! Romans 3:22 KJV “even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference” Romans 3:28 KJV “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law”. Romans 6:23 KJV “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. John 3:36 KJV He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
We have laws to teach us that there are consequences for sin, like when you and me will stand before God on judgment day. Just like ignorance of an earthly law doesn't remove the consequences of breaking that law; neither will your ignoring God and His law clear you at His judgment. It would be wise to reconsider.
@Drspeiser You need to prove your "god" even exists before you expect people to just bow down to it. Hint: Just because you believe in something doesn't mean it exists. It's 2023, bro. Grow up

So, @michafaine2433, if you can look around at everything that surrounds you: trees, grass, flowers, birds, sky, sea, your friends and loved ones, YOURSELF....and still believe there's no God, then I don't know what to tell you. You obviously believe the lie of "the THEORY of Evolution". THERE'S NO SUCH THING! There can be no creation without a Creator. And that Creator is God. I'm very sorry for you.
