Thank you, I'm glad you like it! 🤗 Yes that would be ideal, luckily their are feeders around the house for the birds to spread out - and even better, plenty to eat in our surrounding forest habitat 💖
The bird singing in the background is a Eurasian Blackbird which lives in Europe and Asia, not in North America. All of the songbirds in the video are all American birds. Perhaps the Eurasian Blackbird song is a recording.

Hi can you help me too?? I'm on the West Coast and we used to have lots of adorable Finches, but they aren't interested this season. Is there a particular feed? Thx!! Lee
@LKemp-lr1ky my finches are only just starting to come back to the feeders. There's so much for them to eat in the late summer and fall we don't see them at the feeders. You can try thistle for goldfinches, but all finches love sunflower hearts and chips. You can also try a birdbath, or even plsnt native flowers they like to eat this tome of year. Don't worry, as it gets colder, the finches will naturally come back to the feeders🤗
:( I can't hear them. Have the sound up full, and a 400 watt speaker/sub woofer. If the latter is maxed out, a can hear a slight song. I was So excited for this!
@sleepy_howl we got plenty of squirrels out here lol, but we also have a crazy amount of walnut trees... and they prefer that over the feeders most of the time 😃
The blackbirds, grackles, and cowbirds usually pass through... but if Starlings find my feeder they cling on until i switch it all up so thes nothing they want and finally leave 😅

Those are European Starlings unfortunately 😅 Sorry to hear you're dealing with them - They can be pretty rude at the feeders, and will stick around and nest if they get plenty of food from your feeder. At the feeder, they love to eat suet, mealworms, sunflower hearts, and peanuts. To get rid of them, I only feed safflower seed, nyger, finch mix, and whole peanuts in the shell. They eventually give up and go away if they realize they cant get their favorite foods at your feeder. Good luck! 😄
Rats! I have been putting out mealworms to attract bluebirds to nest.@tina I may have to stop because they are driving all the other birds away. Thanks for your response.
@@judewalsh500 hahah i did the exact same thing last year, and the Starlings rewarded me by nesting near my feeder 😓 And those mealworms are not cheap! If I try to put out mealworms again for the bluebirds, I would look into getting a starling-proof bluebird feeder. But the best thing I've found to attract bluebirds (in the winter) are berry bushes like Winterberry Holly. Ive also put up a few bluebird houses to encourage the bluebirds to stay (now, in late winter, is the time to be putting out the bluebird boxes as the birds are starting to find nest sites for the spring🥰)
The Oranges are for Orioles, Catbirds, Woodpecker and Warblers🥰 hahah i understand, the squirrels can be a handful! When they come around i try to put out safflower seed (that they dont really like) and use a hot spicy seed mix😆
I think you're asking about the camera? Sorry, don't know, I'm not really good with that stuff😅 I'm not sure if it has mention detect, but if it does, I don't use it🤗
Hello! I am in Texas and would love to know what type of camera that you are using. I purchased a GoPro to video my birds but these cameras are not meant to run continuously. Your videos are amazing!
Is that a female cardinal at 19:14? I've never seen that mixture of dark gray and red before. (I live in California. We don't get cardinals here. :( ) So beautiful.
Thank you Becky 🤗 The beak has almost entirely changed to orange (from the deep dark color of the young fledglings) and since the bird doesn't appear to have any bright red feathers coming in... yes, its likely a first year female 🥰 always a little tough to tell male and female in the juveniles though🐦
For this feeder, when the squirrels start coming around, I feed safflower and spicy peanuts. They do still come by a bit, especially to try and get the suet, but for the most part they dont bother if I stop feeding their favorite seeds 🤗We have lots of black walnut trees around that theyd rather nibble at😄
Hello! Yes, water is an extremely underrated way to attract and care for birds. At this feeding station, there is a bird bath a couple feet away (for a few videos, I had it on camera, and we could watch birds drink and take baths🤗). We also have a natural pond, and several garden ponds for the wildlife. I recommend everyone have well-maintained sources of water on their property 🤗
@cocoabean321ify interesting! There are a lot of different zones in this small area here on the east coast that may account for some variation, and as you say, habitat too. We live in a very wooded area... which is one reason I never see house sparrows at my feeder 😅
Do you have any issue with squirrels? I have had "squirrel proof" bird feeders destroy by them ! I try to provide suet or other means of food for them so to keep them away but they always come back even with hot pepper seeds, during the winter months I only place suet because the seeds are now attracting rats...I know everyone is hungry and everyone wants to live but I had to stop enjoying the birds for a while. Thank you for your video.

I also feed a "waste-free" blend of seeds so there are no shells to attract any unwanted guests
Ive been trying to make the feeding station squirrel-proof... Ive managed to just make it squirrel-inconvenient lol. Theres plenty for them to eat in the surrounding forests here: the more there is to eat in nature, the less they bother the birdfeeders :)
