see, this would’ve been iconic if kim had used the marilyn idea for the met gala in 2021, having a replica made with a color closer to her own skin tone to replicate the nude effect that the original had for marilyn. THAT would’ve been genius and wouldn’t have led to this wildly controversial and dress-damaging event.
Marilyn didn’t want anyone to wear that dress, she specifically told the designer she wanted a one of a kind dress only for her. I wonder if Kim knew this and wore it anyways.
@@QueenLaQueefa not only that, she’s also causing damage to the dress just by having in on her body. Once you wear a piece of clothing, it’s now old and used. This may sound gross, but marilyns essence was sorta imbedded into the dress. Kim having it on kinda took away that special characteristic. It was a historical piece that shouldn’t had been taken out of its containment. Not to mention that she stepped all over the dress as she walked because the dress was probably not fitting her correctly which made it hard to walk. I cringed real hard at that moment.

This beautiful historical dress should be preserved, and not worn by anyone including Kim.
Of all people to be wearing Marilyn's dress. She is not worthy - just a no talent piece of trash. Made me sad and disgusted.
But the dress is so fragile, I hope it will not get ruined. Such a priceless historical piece. I have anxiety that the dress could be damage.
Marilyn had to be sewn into it and her and Kim are not the same size nor height. Also, the fabric is so old and fragile, combining it with Kim's lotions, body make-up, tanner, etc. it's definitely going to have damage. And if you watch the way they tried to put it on Kim, the handlers were scraping the jewels and being quite careless. It's not ruined, but it's no longer perfect nor preserved.

Very concerned for the young girls and women who will hear her proudly say that she lost 16 pounds in 3 weeks. I saw Marilyn’s dresses at a travelling exhibition about her in London before all of the items were sold off and her dresses were tiny and I mean tinyyyyy. I always thought she was plus sized but she was curvy in a small way if that makes sense. They had her petite sized leather platform sandals on display with the little toe marks where her feet had rubbed into the leather, she apparently wore them to lots of auditions at the start of her career. It was all really amazing to see

And this is just a fraction what she did.. so she did something allright, that other people will never do, without making much noise of that.
