Kensington Palace provides update on Princess Kate amid cancer battle

- Kensington Palace has provided an update on the Princess of Wales following her cancer diagnosis.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson explained to the BBC, the Princess is “not expected” to return to work until she’s “cleared” by her medical team.
The Kensington Palace spokesperson added, "early childhood will continue to be central to her public work.”
Princess Catherine launched The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood three years ago.
It's understood the Princess has been a “driving force” behind the foundation.
The foundation is calling on businesses to invest in supporting families with young children.
Hope she takes at least a year off, prioritises herself and her health, and puts ‘duties’ to the bottom of the list. Please don’t rush Princess Catherine, health is everything.

Right, surgery and chemotherapy knocks you out in so many ways. No red blood cells, no hair, no balance because the nerve endings in your feet are dead; and just overall exhaustion. Leave her alone. I don't know how anyone can fight cancer and keep working. I would not have been able to. I could sit in a chair and watch the clouds pass by though!

Mental health is a devastating illness it just rips through your everyday life, i have suffered with my mental health since my early 20s im now in my 60s, my eldest Son aged 43 passed away tragically last August & this has caused my mental health to go completely of the scale, i now know that i will never be anywhere near better again my heart has been left smashed to pieces, i know Princess Catherine & Prince William do an awful lot to support people with mental health problems & they need to be thanked for that as most people can brush it all aside, we are lucky to have such an understanding Future King & Queen...
Really sorry to hear that, that is just awful. Make sure your GP organised counselling for you. There are online videos as well that can be helpful such as Eckhart Tolle, Marissa Peer, Dr Ramani, Dr Les Carter.

Having worked abroad for many years, I returned to the UK in the middle of the foot and mouth disease. I moved to the heart of rural Somerset where the sense of futility and depression as well as the smell of smoke from the funeral pyres would drift across one’s nostrils. Farmers had overnight lost their entire life’s work. Several farmers would walk into their barns with their shotguns or a long piece of rope and not walk out again. It was a horrible time for everyone. Even I who wasn’t directly involved with it. I do know after talking to many locals there was little if any support. Tough farmers not given to talking about feelings. Families left behind with no husband, no father, no hope. God forbid we ever have another incident like the foot and mouth disease but thank goodness that if there is, there will be mental health support available thanks to this initiative. Sorry for the long rant but I too was deeply affected 20 years ago. My hopes and prayers also go out to the Princess of Wales and wish her a speedy recovery

As a person that has had aggressive cancer for many years and still here, I am concerned that her cancer is more advanced, or aggressive that we are being told. Many people carry on working during treatment. I have known a few. Keeping a normal routine IMO allows the person to feel normal. After my surgeries I was out an about quickly. I immediately began a life change. She could work very part time. This is not criticism but a feeling there is more going on. I wish her well.

Im not sure i fully understand this. Catherine has not been diagnosed as having cancer now,the treatment is purely preventative, apparently. If this is the case, then why is it taking her out of public duties? The King has cancer and is having cancer treatment but is back to working and doing public duties. Having had cancer myself(and i suspect Catherine had the same Cancer as I had)(and I was not routinely offered preventative treatment, as has been implied is normal process; it's not). Why is it taking so long for Catherine's preventative treatment ? Most people have to work through this treatment and usually return to work approx 3 months after surgery. Im not thinking ill of Catherine, i wish her all the best ,and though i think everyone should be entitled to the best treatment, medical teams etc,its just not the way of the world. I worry,however,that this is worse than we are led to believe? Best wishes to Catherine. Its a long journey both physically and mentally,in many many different ways. You have asked very pertinent and relevant questions. Such a long absence is indeed worrisome especially with all the botched attempts at photographs called out for being fake - in the midst of all this are the horrific accounts on the internet about what really happened, which now are seemingly the real situation! Questions should be asked and answered of a hugely popular and much loved Princess and mother of three young children.

She may well be working behind the scenes. When her doctors release her for public outings, she'll do so.
@phoenixrising5088 she said they found cancerourous cells ,this was possibly at histology-the tests they do on biopsies or removed organs. The indications are that it had not spread, at this point was just cells and not tumour,and any treatment is to ensure there are no other cancer cells in her body-thus preventative. So,you are correct,she doesn't have cancer. I believe she definitely had cells,which many women have and are discovered at smears,these are removed by cauterisation (or burning) and follow up treatment is not preventative in the sense its chemotherapy, rather,it is regular smears over a period of time. If cells are found after an hysterectomy, then again,treatment (for us mere mortals anyway)is not any form of chemotherapy, rather it is again,regular check ups so I'm still baffled. An hysterectomy will definitely keep you out of work for 3-6 months but I don't understand this "preventative treatment ". ? Having said that,if it was an hysterectomy that she had surgery for, at such an age,can create lots of different problems,not least,a medical menopause, if the ovaries are removed,and in some cases even if they are not. Now this can cause really severe mental and physical issues and I definitely understand her not wanting this to be made public but.....???

Also, those who represent Church of England, should be promoting Christ's plan to combat depression, despair, and anger, not only man's therapy. Returning to duties isn’t the same as being seen. How is she so sick she can’t sit on a balcony, but supposedly can be updated on a project? Doesn’t add up, hopefully she’s not very sick.
Have you ever known someone who went through chemo and/or radiation? It is rough and there is a whole other mental aspect to women losing their hair and not being who they once were. Very few people going through that would want to be out on display. Considering the amount of disgusting human garbage that attack public figures such as herself, she is entitled to privacy during this time. Have some compassion and empathy!

I watched a video clip on Notable Royal News about Prince William and Princess Catherine visiting George's school recently. There are two photos of her in the clip. She looked beautiful, as always, and had short hair. Her smile was radiant.

The thing the Monarchy, and the Royal Family themselves, best represent is tradition and stability and one would hope a Royal portrait would attempt to capture that as well. My daughter was diagonised with cancer in late 2019. With all the treatment, and horrific side effects, that almost took her life, it took just under two years, to be given the all clear.
Then another 6 to 8 months to have her immune system get almost back to normal, yet still so low, that she has to be masked, and disinfected frequently.
It doesn't happen over night. Give the Princess of Wales a bit of slack, she'll be back when she and her team decide it's right.
it goes without saying how we all feel about Catherine the Princess of Wales....and we all know she will be getting the best treatments and care,,,,with all that said, I hope that William is getting the support that he needs....he may have help and that kind of support but im on about the mental,emotional human side of things...he like countless others will be watvhing the love of his life go through some really tough times....this man has a lot on his plate....we are a lucky nation to one day have him as our king.
