“Country first, Party second!”
What a wonderful concept, working for ALL of the people!!!!!!
So Happy Sunak is out. I pray things go better in the UK.
It is almost impossible to overstate the damage the Tories have done to the UK over the last 14 years. They are finally seeing the consequences of putting their own wealth and petty grievances ahead of the good of the nation. Hopefully they are locked out of power until well into the next decade or, even better, beyond.
Well if it's that bad then why do Brits keep them in power for that long? Makes you wonder. 🤔
It also means that Joe Biden and democrats are going to win 2024 election. Donald Trump and Republicans are taking away our fundamental rights and freedom.
Then why is the UK economy been doing so good compared to France, Italy and others?
It took them 2 coalitions, corbyn taking over Labour and brexit to stay in power.
No coup or cheating to stay in office ?
Yeah one of the candidates didn't hide in a basement with dementia all campaign then miraculous get the votes he needed at 3am. That's why.
@@JudyFayLondon You got to see it in Brazil with Bolsanero as well in 2023. Very much Trump inspired.
Then you've got routinely fixed elections in authoritarian states, such as Russia.
And I don't have specific examples, but I'm under the impression this is pretty common in the developing world. Africa, the middle east.
None of these countries are what the US should be aspiring to.
Wouldn't go that far. The Tories introduced mandatory voter ID, lied constantly, manufactured outrage, and took a lot of plays from the GOP's handbook during the campaign.
Grace in victory. Grace in defeat. Let's pray this civility is contagious.
@@Lovesapuzzle Used to be the norm in America. Praying for peaceful transfer of power.
Labour did the right thing here - they played it like a game of chess, ie, battling for the centre ground. Their agenda is not super-progressive but there are important items of change in it. It was quite quiet and civil, and that’s the way it should be.
It's easy to be gracious in defeat. He, now as former PM gets his big pension where he can claim up to £115,000 A year - FOR LIFE!! On top of his & his wife's own stupendous wealth of approximately
£651 million ($830 million). Next to all this Sunak does not have a a real "heart for politics" (like older former British PM had) He's more of a CEO-type. So yeah, Rishi has no deep problem with being gracious in defeat.
He'll just move on and leave "his" political mess behind...

Great Britain is motherland of United States and Americans need to reject Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans at ballot box in 2024 election
Britons recognize the damage that the right wing Conservatives have done to their country.
Citizens of other countries should pay attention.
The Tory Party hasn't been conservative for a very long time. They're Britain's "RINO's". The Labour Party is Communist.
Well if it's that bad then why do Brits keep them in power for 14 years?
I've known Joe Biden for 50 years he's as sharp now as he ever been. Joe Scarborough "journalist "
Would Trump ever be humble and selfless enough to graciously accept electoral defeat like this?
Wow. A politician not acting like a spoiled brat.
he was an ineffectual twerp, a placeholder while tories continued to burn things down and implode.
Congratulations, UK! Power to the People!
"The people" of the UK always have power, as The King holds all constitutional power on "the people"'s behalf. If a PM refuses to step down when he's legally required to, The King dismisses him. End of story.
2:10 what a lovely and professional way to admit defeat
Still a person that enriched himself and ignored the people, made promises time and again and never lifted a finger to fulfil those promises and many times he had more than enough opportunity, his party is full of criminals corrupt and they should be investigated and imprisoned. Sadly, labour really is very similar, but hopefully reform will keep them a bit more honest. Farage has a way of getting under their skins and making them say things they really should not admit to. Labour really has only 4 years to resolve a lot of issues and if they don't we will definitely see reform take over and hopefully fix what labour and cons allowed to happen.
4Years is more than enough time to fix the illegal immigration problem and to get rid of those in the UK that are here illegally. In fact it should not take 6 months to come up with a a valid plan to resolve the issue and to enact it
Country over Party. 🤔 What a novel, noble, and very good idea.
What do you say, America?
Nah where's the fun in that? Compare the media coverage in UK vs America. Outside of UK no one even knows there's an election until they announced the results today. 😂
A civilised change of government. Recognition of the people’s power to choose. The transfer of power to an atheist. His belief or lack of belief not considered a factor in his ability to run the country.
Except "the people" don't coose the prime minister or the government. They elect only MPs.
Has anyone tried to break into parliament because they don't accept the results?
The election results were 4 to 1. Pretty hard to argue against that.

Why couldn't Donald Trump have done this very thing in 2020
Because he hopes that maga will become more extreme, and he hopes that the cracks in the United States will become wider and wider! ! !
Because his ego and fear of paying the price literally and legally would not allow it to happen.
@@jordyb57 why would you say that when it's so obviously untrue. Are you as big a liar as Trump is?
Clinton conceded defeat before the night was out and wished the victor well, and she also attended Trump's innauguration.
She did win the popular vote, and along with many others, she also expressed concerns about Russian interference in the election. But she neither questioned nor challenged the results of the electoral college, and she didn't ignore the verdicts from 60 courts that there was no evidence of voter fraud on a scale that would cast any of the results into doubt.
So the baby is on his own, squealing and shaking his little fists in rage. And he's your baby, that's your man.
Hello American Republicans-This is how you accept a loss. Take a lesson.
What, he just conceded just like that? No insurrection? How weak of Sunak... On a serious note, we the people can and should do the same and vote them out

Britains, Canadian Politicians: Apologize for Defeat.

American elections are usually honest but they need more parties. UK has 8 choices and America only 2 isn't democracy.
America has honest elections, we just have an unhinged candidate in the name of Trump
Please notice, the 2020 election happened under Trump's watch. Surely he cared for it to be honest, right?
Britain chose democracy, the good for all people. What will US do?
Labour didn’t ‘win’, the Conservatives lost.
Labour won 34% of the votes, from a 60% voter turnout - second lowest turnout since the 1880s apparently. They gained only 2% from the last election. Not exactly an overwhelming endorsement. Still, at least the far right Reform party didn’t win as big as expected. There is hope.
WOW what a difference!!! he apologises and says he lost lol This is how Trump and co should behave!!!!
I'm happy for the UK. Sad for the USA.
I don’t like the Tories, but this is the model of a graceful acceptance of the will of the people and a peaceful transfer of power.
Don’t be too surprised, Sunak and Sir Kier’s behaviour is highly characteristic of the British public generally, they lose graciously and with honour. They are generally a very intelligent, well-educated society where the 6th January insurrection would be virtually impossible there, but know full well how to vote tactically within in their 500 year-old parliamentary democracy to remove an almost universally hated Conservative Party that fully started with the removal of an absolute monarch, Charles I, who refused to recognise the sovereignty of parliament. The British people told the Conservatives to go on Thursday, 4th July, and by Friday, 5th July the new government was installed and their first cabinet meeting held with the newly elected ministers - no ifs, no buts.
With regard to our US system elections are not about the past they’re about the future - whether Biden is a reliable pair of hands for the future and he MUST take note of this. The US Supreme Court has created a President-King in Donald Trump who will make use of every advantage that gives. If Donald Trump wins in November the US will return to an English 14th Century absolute monarchy. Project 2025 is next year, when all of the US’s constitutional freedoms will be abolished all backed up by a corrupt US Supreme Court, which has become Trump’s 21st century fiefdom.
As much as I admire Joe Biden, if there’s any chance he can’t stop Trump and save the American people and the world for the good of the nation, he must step aside. If President Biden can win then, of course, soldier on but remember in this election the risks are off the scale.
America has NEVER been more at risk.

Even with Biden’s failing health and with polling vastly over sampling republicans, the polls are so close. This is what happens when a candidate is as unpopular as Donald Trump.
Everyone adds up the right wing vote (conservatives and reform) but no-one adds up the broad left wing vote (labour, lib dems and green). If this was done, the left would easily win, so although not proportional i think this is a fair result
Worth pointing out that Labour won by a landslide *not* because peoole wanted Labour to win - voters wanted the Tories out, out, out, so voted against them, rather than for Labour. That puts the party in shakey ground, as they didn't win by a deliberate mandate, but largely by protest votes. It'll be interesting to see how they proceed.
People want change. The incumbent is usually always under pressure. But guess it was pretty bad lately for a 4 to 1 margin.
Too bad Trump won't do this!

Having had the first (British Indian) Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (albeit unelected), being subject, to historic, racial slurs, (that date back, (to at least the commencement of the fifties), and that are meant, and intended, to remind the Prime-Minister of his place, could never be seen as a respectable, and a reputable look, by the Reform UK Party. Seventy years of historic, long-standing, racial slurs, for minority groups, resident in the UK. My father was subject to these racial slurs as a fourteen year old child, working night-shift patterns, (on minimum wage), in the mills, and bakeries, of Bradford, West-Yorkshire, and suffered far worse racial abuse, before he eventually retired, having worked full-time, (for a minimum of sixty years) in the same profession.
