This Pet Shop Boys lyric applies to Mr Numan, marvellous as he is... Then we posed for pictures with the competition winners And argued about the hotel rooms, and where to go for dinner And someone said: "It's fabulous you're still around today You've both made such a little go a very long way" (Yesterday, When I Was Mad)
@dougreed2257: Nah, it's simply just lighting for the imagery which accompanied Gary's 'Pleasure Principle' album cover and his 1979 tour, which was Numan offering a futuristic nod to surrealist artist René Magritte's painting 'Le Principe du Plaisir'. In Gary's own words, it was: "a clear nod towards technology. Where Magritte had a rock on a desk, for example, I had a glowing purple Perspex pyramid." But feel free to read more in to it and talk about the illuminati and conspiracies.

@@dougreed2257 It's blindingly clear that you still are incredibly naive and believe such utter nonsense. Gary was a young 20-year-old lad when he designed that album cover. As stated previously, it was in homage to Magritte's painting, he simply replaced the stone with a glowing pyramid. There really is nothing more to it, whatsoever, however much you care to dress it up. But hey, you be you, and keep peddling your nonsense, it's mildly amusing, if nothing else.
