Yeah, the C4 is an interesting car, that was advanced for its time, as you say. I have a 91, and I don't care what anyone says, I love it. Goes hard, corners hard, looks beautiful, is reliable and the best sports car value out there, if you want my opinion. The interior doesn't feel cheap or low quality to me, at all.
I own a 91 as well, 6-speed manual. It’s the perfect blend of speed and comfort. I agree the interior does not feel inferior, mine has very few squeaks or rattles. It has definitely impressed me. Keep the fluids changed/maintained and it will last a long time.
87 Z52 owner here. Bought her new and just restored her top to bottom. 237,000 original miles, and never broke down. Never was garage kept, so I had a lot of fading issues. Just did my own repaint. 2018 Crystal red Claret. Beautiful C7 color. Now with a new Blueprint CT427 engine in her, she can easily keep up with C5, C6 and C7's. Still working on the tune. If I can get 15 mpg, I will be very happy! With all the work and improvements, it cost me under $25,000. That's $125,000 below a new C8 and that money saved will go to my retirement!
C4 vette is my favorite model of them all...something in that car is so mysterious ..so 80's and 90's.. no other vette has that hood opening and that suspension ...infront reminds me a bit of Vector w8. I'm truly inlove with that model and maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow or even in the next month.. but one day I will HAVE it ! 🥹❤
Cool video but you guys are off on a couple of your details the C4 is a full frame vehicle not a unibody car I haven't finished the full video but it is true the lt4 were grossly underrated when they were putting them on the dyno they were actually dynoing at anywhere from 360 all the way up to 390 horsepower and I could vouch for this owning a ZR1 and a lt4 lt4 with cold air and exhaust cutouts next to a ZR1 with a cold air would run neck and neck all the way up to 170 plus miles per hour😊
I've owned 2 C4s (a 94 vert and a 96 coup) in addition to a C3, C5, C6 and C7. One of the reasons the C4 is not more desirable is because they made almost 400,000 of them. Not much exclusivity there. Fit and finish are just OK. Interior materials, switch gear, buttons and knobs, leather are poor quality. The digital dash is gimmicky and the subsequent anolgue gauges still look cheap. They handle pretty well and have good low end torque but run out of breath fairly early. Still, a heck of a buy in the $5-15k price range.
People can run their mouth all they want about c4 corvettes,it set track records and handling as well,no c3 before it did that. I Have a 84 and a 92 and they can still embarrass most cars on the road. Don't flatter yourself dude, the c4 vette is not behind any vette generation and won't be.
@markfurchtenicht8274 that's not true!!! I have a 92. The L98s have more tourqe plus the 90 and 91 ZR1s didn't have traction control either. Idk how your car runs but if I turn the traction control off in the rain it's basically like driving on ice and I couldn't imagine driving an early model with no traction control in the rain!! They definitely could have used the traction control as well.
@sarahgarcia346 Not trying to upset anyone here. Mine never sees any rain so I wouldn't know and never use traction control anyway. Merely making a statement. Sorry for that.
Your AI voice narrator guy can't say simple terms like mph without glitching. Sounded like marbles in the mouth or something. Is it really worth having a monotone expressionless and glitchy computer do all the narrating? I love C4 corvettes but I only got halfway through this video. Not trying to be mean, just honest.
In the intro, "Like & share the video" ... Bro, before we even 'watch' the video?!?! ... What's wrong with you? If 'we' like it - we'll 'like' it. Quit giving orders. How about, "If you like what you see here - please like & share, it really helps the channel"? That at least gives us a chance to 'watch' the thing. Been a vette owner since I was a18. I Love 'em ... and I'm tempted not to even watch this one just because of the way you said it ... OK - watched the first 2 minutes ... right until you called the C4 ZR-1 engine ... an "LTS" ... it's an LT5 !!! REALLY?!?! That was enough for me. NO like - NO share - NO subscribe. If you want more than 1.12K sibs ... clean it up!
C4's are definitely the redheaded stepchild of the corvette generations. They are not cool or rare enough to be considered a true classic like the C1's, C2's and C3's. They are also not modern or powerful enough to be considered true modern high performance Corvettes like the C6, C7 and C8. They are not even quite good enough to be considered the best bang for the buck generation like the C5. Digi-dash has not aged well, the giant door sill was a pain and Optispark was a huge fail. I have owned a 95 Corvette once so I am just being brutally honest about a car I used to love.
Proud #c4 owner here…..very underrated, but I love it and people do too when they see me zooming past them!

@@michaelbutler6970 Yeah, it's all the car I want, and I'll keep it till it falls to pieces. 😂
There is nothing cheap about the interior of the C4!
I could not agree with you more, have a 92 six speed coupe and I absolutely love this car.

I have a 1985 Black grey leather 4 spd...LoveIt...
Nice job, great video. I have a '96 C4 Collector's Edition, and it's everything you said. Thanks.
LT5 not LTS you should have someone do a voice over from a person that loves Corvettes like me!
This is A.I generated, hence the awful narration and incorrect designations, etc.
@@ericnaslund8599 word!
I totally agree! Fantastic car! I have had mine for 10 years! I have owned nothing but Chevy GMC all my life!
3:02, is that a picture of a Diesel engine in a story about C4 Corvettes?
C4 style looks great to me ... much better looking than C5
Enjoyed! Thanks!
love my 1985 best early c4 in my opinion

Corvette is a great car. From the first till the last model. But I believe the C4 gives a lot of fun for less money
I like the voice. It reminds me of Gordy LaForge from Star Trek.
In dash navigation??
Whenever I worry about AI taking over the world, I watch a video like this and realize AI has a long way to go.
Wait, do you mean this Video is 100% made by an AI ??
Wooow.
😂
I enjoyed the video, but why does it sound like a guy who knows nothing about Corvettes is narrating?
You are right, The voiceover is not great, But my English is even worse......
I want a 91. L98 6 speed

say torque “torkeyy” 😂
No idea why you keep showing that LS1 camaro but whatever..... And the C4s didn't get traction control until 1992.
Thank you for your input. We will do better research next time
It's because this video is pretty much automatically generated garbage
@thunderalley6395 Didn't need traction control until then. Saying that as a 94 vette owner.

Getting really sick of these AI written and AI narrated videos.
This is when A.I is most frightening, when it gets so much wrong. C4 owner here...my goodness was this terrible
The only vet better looking than the C4 is the C2

All that doesn’t apply to the ZR1 tho
Lieeeees!!!!
Y'all need REAL "AI", Automotive Intelligence. Just for the record, your computer doesn't know squat about Corvettes!
i don't think any years of C4 has in dash navigation
sshhhhhhh 🤫
Who the Fook made this video? I love most of it but i just saw a rx7 drifting and weong engine 😮 showed a Ls1 and called it a L98 wtf
stupid pictures while talking corvettes......don't waste your time on a history lesson
He doesn't know what he's talking about.
I can't listen to this AI voice crap. You lost my like.
