Dude, well done, you're taking an uncommon approach, it brings a new perspective and honestly a new perspective is exactly what we need for a better understanding, great job!
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed your video. It reminds me when I got taxi scammed at hanoi airport. Dude drove me to Old City and charged me about $60 USD. I’m back in Vietnam this week, and scamming has gotten less i think, but I appreciate you bringing awareness to people that are new to this country😃
The way you just pointed at the scammers HAHAHA so funny xD And thank you for the tips! As a Vietnamese I still got scammed by the "xe ôm" so well, useful!! :)
1. Vietnam gets twice or three times more from foreigners. 2. The restaurant menu also comes with a menu for foreigners. 3. The price should be reduced at all costs. 4. Vietnamese merchants have the perception that it is natural to cheat foreigners 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the tips. Going to Hanoi in July for the first time and was very nervous and stressed out from the stories I hear about scamming. Did that kid flipped you off (at 4:44)?? lol
In general it’s pretty damn safe I would say. Just use common sense. They only thing I would be worried about is the weather in July🥵 I think the kid was just saying hi🙃 Enjoy your trip!
Pho-nuts! lol is that what those donkeys are called? That's cool. Very good advice- thank you. We're leaving for Vietnam in 4 days! It's our first time in Vietnam. Been to Thailand and India - scams everywhere but nice to learn about them before a visit where your faced with it and can turn them down. Thank you also for not playing the victim card, but being factual and straight to the point. Btw I thought that guy that came up behind you at 2:11 was going to grab your camera - 😲
Some street food attracts flies. My one time diarrhea experience got me good. I will avoid these donuts for that reason. I will take food that is fresh out of grill or freshly made like he said only.
You can’t just write off locals doing their jobs as scams. Not all xe om drivers will over charge. I got them frequently when I lived there and was always happy with the price. They are deeply engrained in the culture.
The donut girls are scam? How much do they charge bro? 10 racks? These girls are dirt poor hungry and desperate. I don’t mind dropping a couple mill on it a couple times on purpose.
Charity is charity and that’s all good! Congrats to you! If someone sells a product for a dime and it’s worth a dime that’s great! If they know it’s crap and they wouldn’t eat it themselves cause they’re poor and hungry that’s a scam! Integrity has no monetary boundaries!
They know it’s crap? Or is it that you think it’s crap? How versed are you in 3rd world country commerce? That is based on tourism? I assure you, if you were in their situation you might do a whole lot worse.

Thanks a million! It's very kind of you.
Happy you enjoyed!
Lmao it's hilarious they way you point out the scammers 😂
I have watched a ton of videos on Vietnam.. Your video told me SO many new things I did not know. Thanks so much for such great content!
All these scams is really deterring me from going Vietnam.
No please don’t let this deter you! It’s a great fun country! You will have a good time! Just be aware!

You used such a strong word. That’s not scamming. It’s just that they bought it from elsewhere and sell for a little profit.

Fresh off the grill is a safe bet! I do enjoy a dice roll here and there though lol!
This is so opinion based. Not so much a scam, as over charging, very different.
Correct. This is my opinion. Just like your opinion that over charging on purpose is not a scam. Thanks for sharing your opinion on my opinion!

You're crazy for even thinking about buying fake glasses. That can be really harmful
Still working out good!
Privileged American if you ask me , why would you point on the girls basket with arrogance?

Hello
Hi 👋
Their are the poor people trying to make some living so stop condemning the poor people that make you look so cheaper person on earth
Just because you are poor doesn't give you the right to rip you off. That the excuse the mugger/bugler give when he robs you.
Scams? Lol
Man at least blur their faces out. They have families :)
Maybe their families should know?

Omg the doughnut ladies, I got scammed, it tastes gross as hell, should have watched this sooner 🥲
Lol right?? Not the end of the world but still…donuts are sacred! 🤣
