I always imagine Caesar growing angrier and angrier as he watches literally the entire mojave uniting against him. I wish you got to confront Caesar at the end instead of Lanius, or both of them.

I like their armor from back then it confused me seeing as my first game was 3 then it grew on me
Unironically I love how NV treated the remnants, they were humbled by the fall of the Oil-Rig and Navarro and actually started seeing the wastelanders they were born into hating as actual people. Still not good people to be sure, but you can get them damn near close to being decent by the end of NV if you play your cards right and foster that growing sympathy for others.

I like their dialogue in this video. It might just be generic npc dialogue, but I really get the feeling that its old and wise soldiers on their last major battle.
"Lets get going. We have a battle to win." After years of running, It must feel good to be on the winning side.
"You better get moving, kid. There's bad guys to kill." After years of being fugitives, It must feel good to be a part of the "good" guys.
"Keep your head down, could be snipers around." This one is especially my favorite. After years of seeing his fellow members killed, an old enclave remanent watches out for you. Warning you of snipers in the area. This game really is something special.

That guy has some fire power backing though. There is a video about great khan warrior vs legion recruit. Legion recruit use throwing spear vs great khan 9mm machine gun. Recruit even manage to win one.

@@Juicedbelmont and Centurions wear a lot of armor compared to other legionaries. They literally have pieces of power armor, combat armor, and super mutant armor on and a shotgun wrecked him. But Legionaries are supposed to be so much more agile than other soldiers, plus the guy he was fighting had like, nothing for actual armor.

You forgot about Mr Fantastic. If he manages to get to Hoover dam, he can tell you about big water button, so you won't need to pass science check to flood the Legion reinforcements.

I played this game several times but still hear something new about New Vegas in UA-cam videos/in comment section. What a masterpiece. I’m so happy that we, fallout fans, have it except Bethesda scenario garbage. I mean, their games are good and fun, but you totally cannot take their game world seriously.

Lol Legion had to fight soldiers with military uniforms and weapons, people in power armor with energy weapons, raiders who literally were initiated by taking a beating, people with even more powerful power armor and energy weapons, people with literal working planes bomb the hell out of them, and the followers of the apocalypse giving medical aid to all the soldiers. All legion has is incredibly trained soldiers that can’t make up for football gear being used as armor, using machetes and spears with one occasionally having a repeater.
I like to imagine its that one image of andrew tate looking surprised. The one where it was announced he was being sentenced.

I do like the concept of the NCR having three of their previous enemies joining their side against a foreign threat that challenges them all. Khans, Brotherhood, and Enclave all siding with a force that has either forced them to near extinction or to become lesser players in the wasteland for the simple goal of challenging a threat from the East. It is all almost poetic in a way.

But Enclave and Kahn’s can side with the Legion against ncr as a common enemy as well so it goes both ways
@@uggycyvhvyvyv7322 The Enclave and Khans don't really have much of a relationship connecting them together or with the Legion. No past connections between any of them. Its the fact that they can work with the NCR, their greatest foe, against a outsider faction that interests me. Its almost like how in other medias you have these long standing rivalries and feuds end because of a greater evil that threatens them all. A Great Final Battle to determine the future of them all sort of concept.

In fact it's because of their war that the Legion was able to go up against a weakened ncr! So yeah I do buy that with a more progressive leader like mcnamara the brotherhood would realise who the true enemy is and officially declare a truce with the ncr. The brotherhood is as good as the man leading them!
The khans, however, I don't buy at all, but that's just how I play them!
I love how Judah Krueger shows up decked out in his awesome Enclave officers uniform. Seeing the Enclave remnants fighting alongside the NCR Rangers is an awesome sight
In my playthrough for independent vegas Cannibal Johnstone literally went into legate's camp and started moving down anything he could see. Including legate
Lanius stood no chance against Enclave power armor.
Cannibal Johnson doesn't fuck around, that guys getting his steps in before he goes back to his cave to chow down on some glue covered mole rat.

all jokes aside, seeing all groups put aside their differences and pasts to come aid you and the NCR is a legendary moment

Damn, this is probably the best ending; all things considered. An NCR victory with nearly every other faction positively joining forces. Ideally, this chapter of the Brotherhood would become members of the NCR, teaching them about advanced technologies and cementing the NCR as a future society.

I dunno if you actually watched the ending, but joining the NCR ends pretty terribly for most of the side factions.
The Khans get forcibly moved to a “reservation.”
If you do the NCR ending, the Enclave gets arrested for their past war crimes and Arcade is detained indefinitely as a war criminal.
And depending on how you did the Brotherhood quest, they either become hostile to the NCR again, or the NCR just straight up takes their stuff and forces them to disband.
@@MegaNightmare4 I think you majorly misrepresented the numerous endings. The player can influence a lot of events & their following consequences.
In an NCR + All Allies victory, the player could have convinced the Khan tribe to flee up into the Northwest when the battle begins. Arcade has multiple endings, one where he returns to NCR territory and becomes a family doctor. The BoS-NCR alliance could become permanent and Brotherhood Paladins begin protecting the I-15 trade route.
The player can influence positive endings, not just negative ones.
@@nikoskn1252lmao no the war with the bos was already ongoing before the ncr arrived in the mojave. It started because of disagreements over the spoils of the enclave war. And the bos did not weaken the ncr sufficiently for the legion during operation sunburst, the legion is just that powerful
@MegaNightmare4 that's literally bs. Only the great khans and arcade is true. The enclave slide says they reminded people why everyone used to fear seeing a vertibird. The bos slide in the event of a truce says the alliance persisted and the ncr let the bos patrol the road between novac and the 188

A concept from the Hoi4 Old World Blues mod I really love is the Lost Hills and the Shi joining the battle if the Mojave is overrun by the Legion.
Forbidden enclave tech, airships, vertibirds, and Chinese jet fighters all joining NCR in a desperate attempt to stop a common threat against California.
Having the hyperadvanced Brotherhood, Enclave Remnants, and Shi on one side against spear throwing Legionaires almost makes me feel bad for them.

@@concept5631 yeah California has much more robust military forces than the Mohave expedition of the NCR. My best guess is that the Legion was just using technology ban as an excuse to explain why recruits get no guns, while in reality Ceasar wanted to use the industry of New Vegas to make a bunch of guns.

The only bad side to the Boomers is that their cluster bombs can kill the player too. I wasn't expecting them to actually bomb the dam itself and got a very rude surprise on my first NCR play through.

I always loved my altruist route where I went NCR but always did the peaceful route. It was great seeing the whole wasteland band together like this! And the ending slides were all great.
People rightfully scoff at the NCR but when you actually set a good example they follow suit. That’s the point of the game!

Not gonna lie I would have loved to see Liberty Prime lead in the charge in fallout 4 with minutemen and railroad reinforcements

@drlukas4242 imagine that you liberate Liberty Prime from the Brotherhood and could have it either for your settlements as defence, or could have it join you and the RR and or Minutemen.

Join up with the minutemen in defending the commonwealth and also help synths who want a fresh start not dictated by the Institute by teaming up even further with the Railroad and now you have a unified front that can use Liberty Prime to breach the institute
I love seeing cannibal Johnson hanging out in the after credits scenes blocking the pictures if you get the enclave as Allies
I only ever finished this game twice, I can never get that feeling back bringing all of these people to the Dam to fight against the Legion. It feels a little janky nowadays but it's still one of the best endings for any game, at least for me. Here is to hoping I get to see a remake or maybe a different story in the Mojave.
Imagine being a legionare here, you as a child only knew tribal life until you were taken in to the legion via conquest. You fought the NCR well, their disorganized forces yielding you 20 dogtags during raids, the strange lights of the distant tower illuminating your victories, you might get promoted soon!
Within a months time, you see the scared soldiers you fought against grow wearier, stronger, more plentiful, you start to see your own brothers die more, even when you were promoted and given a submachine gun you could do little to the improved force of your enemies
At the time of the battle, you are preparing to storm the NCR frontline, when a giant behemoth floats above you, dropping bombs decimating your commanding officer, and multiple men
Then came the men in power armor, they moved faster than the NCR power armors, looked different too, they scatter your forces with strange efficiency never imaginable
Then you see HIM, with a red beret, duster with the old world American star on it, fancy looking rifle, and bloodshot eyes, he downs 12 bottles of sunset sparsarilla, a hit of jet, buff out, slasher, a beer, whiskey and wine, 3 steaks, a gourmet dinner, healing poctule, 7 different types of mushrooms, laxatives, he skims through 8 different magazines, a spoonful of napalm, a partridge in a pear tree, and substances you didn’t even know existed, all within 3 seconds
He locks eyes with your entire squad, and in superhuman speed, blows each one of their brains out, even though the bullet landed in their heads half the guys hit were atomized into a pile of gore

@@Kabutoesbecause they are the hardest to ally with you need to do a very specific set of side quest to get them to ally so not many people do it considering they only send Luke 5 guys in the battle

I don't know what it is, but once I finally got to them (I died the first time I was on the railroad tracks and avoided them for a while) I just immediately loved them. I don't know why, but I just love the Boomers, and that part with the plane, absolute beauty.

Only bad things about this ending is that Arcade is forced to flee to the East for fear of being captured and that the Great Khans are given the Native American treatment by being relocated to a reservation. If you tell Arcade to stay with the Followers and convince the Khans to go form an empire in Wyoming (as well as establish an alliance with the Kings), it's pretty much the best New Vegas ending you can get, making the region flourish with trade and mutually beneficial agreements for all factions, not just the NCR.

Riveting how in my true pacifist run, I recruited the BoS, the Khans and the Boomers, and literally none of them showed up to help. Had to drag my crippled ass from cover to cover hoping the NCR rangers would take out the Legion for me.
Hey, I don't know because I never tried, but can you not upgrade the securitrons, kill house, instruct yes man to support the NCR, and then not betray the NCR?
Or do you only get the securitrons joing the fray in the Independent/House endings?
Unfortunately, that's only for House and Independent vegas ending. Would be nice if you could convince Yes Man or House to join the NCR and fight with them.

You mean the brotherhood? They are outnumbered, same reason they lost against the NCR at Helios 1.
Eventually a bullet finds a weak point, causes stress on a joint that makes moving impossible.
Just like taking out a Tank is easiest via a Mobility kill by hitting the treads, the Joints and Powerpack of a Power Armor suit will eventually degrade.
Also even with how large power armor is, Small Arms fire front Rifles and especially machine guns would still be felt and have a chance of penatrating, especially in joint areas or thinner armor areas. Like say the Visors over the eyes.
This is how I usually playthrough hoover damn minus Arcade and The Great Khans since the ending slide for them are less than ideal if they join Hoover Dam

Imagine how the legion felt seeing every faction pull up on theyre asses that the bos and enclave decided to team up

It really was about the friends we made along the way.
Imagine you are a leader of a powerful faction in fallout, and you send your armies into battle, then, suddenly, the brotherhood of steal, ncr, enclave, and a freaking bomber plane, all start attacking you viciously, as well as the nearby smaller factions. Even the damn followers are helping. I can imagine legate just sitting at his camp, watching the chaos unfold, and as soon as he sees the enclave appear and fight alongside the brotherhood, he just thinks to himself: "yep, we're f*cked"

I really like to imagine:
an Enclave,a Great khan,a Brother hood and a Boomer soldier in the background looking to each other and one of them saying ''-Courier?'' and others '-'yeah Courier''

Keep macnamara as elder that is yhe only way to get them to side with the ncr if hardin is elder you cannot get brotherhood aid
The gentlemen’s agreement between the veteran rangers and the enclave remnants is so cool. The battle of Navarro wasn’t that long before new Vegas, so it’s possible some of the older rangers could’ve fought the enclave.

Cause they come to know the Legion are a bunch of freedom hating slavers
The Followers don't dislike the NCR so much as distrust them. They view them as far better than the Legion but fear their expansionism and militarism will either cause them to repeat the mistakes of the old United States they act as the spiritual successors of, or will become as brutal as the worst of the Legion.
Thats why I find this NCR ending to be an utter stretch

Also it still makes sense. The brotherhood only joins a truce with McNamara. The more aggressive elder doesn't agree to a truce. The more passive elder agrees because he sees that the brotherhood won't come out on top either way. The legion will lead constant attacks against them and it will be difficult to scavenge. The NCR has the power to defeat them and since the NCR know where they are. It would only be a matter of time before the NCR goes after them. Since they are in only one bunker they won't have the opportunity to survive another attack.
The enclave remnants haven't been a part of the Enclave for decades. Most of them don't have that much against the NCR.
Though I agree the Khans don't really make sense. Sure you become the leader or the other second in command becomes the leader that will want to support the NCR. But the Khans are still bitter over Bitter Springs. So I doubt many of the soldiers will want to help. Maybe only the few select soldiers that didn't care about the NCR were sent to fight?

I really wished the boomers shot cannons to the fort as you were on the dam, like after the plane passes you hear artillery shells and seeing spikes of dirt in the fort
Or the plane eventually reappears making another pass and maybe drops a few leftover bombs on it or something.
Or like you said, the fort gets blown to pieces by their ever-lethal artillery barrage.
Still, Securitron Army making it erupt into flames is best backdrop.
I have never gone through the process of recreuting the Brotherhood. Looks like they are a lot of help though. I will try that in my next NCR/YesMan playthrough.
I don't care what anyone says about this being a crappy finale to one of the best games in history. The NCR is a goated faction and in my opinion at least the best faction for the Mojave. And all of these factions who hated each other for a long long time putting aside their differences and coming together to stop the biggest threat to the West is awesome and i always love going this path whenever I play New Vegas
Imagine being a Legionnaire (or anyone in this battle I guess) seeing the bomber. Sure you've seen Vertibirds fly but they don't really have too much offensive capability. But then you see this giant metal bird fly over and rain fire and brimstone upon you and your comrades. Biggest morale hit to the Legion and boost for the NCR

I've always wondered if you could intentionally stack the deck against you for a more interesting fight. Say, tell the Enclave remnants to join the Legion, but fight the Battle for Hoover Dam with the NCR.
I think there’s a certain point where you have to commit to a side, unless it’s independent vegas
I believe if you side with yesman or house where the game is technically an ncr run until the last minute you can still without punishment do legion missions. I know at the very least you can have the enclave fight for the legion even though your an ally of the ncr but I lm not sure about any of the other factions

You can get the khans and enclave remnants to fight for either side but by the time you deal with the bos, caesar/the ncr gives you their ultimatum
this will always be the cannon ending in my mind, i just wish house was still able to keep vegas independent too

You have to expose the legion's plan to papa Kahn then they should join you.
You have to convince papa khan to give up the legion and convince him with that legion guys journal it’s wrong to fight for the legion just look it up cause it’s hard to pull off
basically you gotta become leader then kill papa khan when your hair and make sure you wearing no fraction amour

What happens if you tell the Remnants to fight for The Legion and then side with the NCR? There's no quest or rep requirements for making them side with either faction so will they be your enemies, not show up or switch sides depending on what you chose?
Yeah I believe they’ll show up and attack the Rangers but they’ll ignore you though which lead to a lot of confusion and it’s hilarious to watch

What weapon you're using at the beginning?
I wish the allies would help more. The bos and great khans literally send 2 guys each who only help in one area. Arcade gannon just stays in the visitors center. When the enclave arrive, henry and krugah just stand around. It makes the whole gathering allies stage of the game seem to have a very weak payoff. The only factions which seem to contribute fairly for what they can do are the boomers and the followers.

unironically this ending is so funny to me, imagine being a brotherhood paladin or a NCR trooper seeing a vertibird drop off Enclave soldiers only to hear "Fuck yeah let's get these Legion bastards." and they immediately start shooting the legion alongside you. The sheer confusion must have been astounding.
