Yeah, and because Stanley was so uncomfortable about playing the role, he wanted the director to alter his appearance as much as possible, so that he didn't look like himself at all. That's how much it affected him :(
I wouldn’t be able to play it considering what happened when I was little. I haven’t liked him ever since that movie even though I know it’s a character.
LidaRayRay18 yeah, I see him in another movies and I see this character, and I feel hate, and that’s sad because he is a good actor
I didn't know it was him! I always remembered him as that guy in Devil Wears Prada
Well I didn’t know it was him until I look at the cast
And the way he was with her just expressed that he didn't feel comfortable playing this role. After every scene he checked up on her to see if she was ok.
It's cute:)
She looked like that after the scene, because when actors get in touch with a character, and they have to cry, it requires, well actually crying. they get sad in real life so they can cry, mixed with the act of playing such an intense scene like this, she was probably shaken up
Find it so cute how Stanley take care of her
Dejavu??
Man my nightmare
SpontSteph914 thats what i thought exactly
No le entendí
She is so unspeakably good in this film.
And she went off to be nominated for multiple oscars
She is so good in everything!
THAT SCREAM WAS SO GOOD!
Anna Marie DiPalma yea it waz
Anna Marie DiPalma she’s a good screamer like Millie bobby brown😂❤️
She sent chills down my spine when I first saw this film the first time and that was the first I felt that in a theatre I love it!
Chilling!
@@rhythmjury2390 better than Millie-
This scene is so powerful holy shit. And you can just tell how much it impacted her to do that scene.
Jamie M this scene actually made me want to scream in the theatre and I don’t scare or scream easily when I watch movies. Good job getting me on the edge of my seat!
Jamie M Cause he took her life.
Mr Fruit I’ve seen the film...
@@stephsoohall6841 take it easy
Geez sorry.
Look how Stanley looks at Saoirse immediately after the scene to see if she's ok❤️ must of been a difficult film to shoot for both of them. One of my favs forsure
d Mal_222 love how they care for each other after every single scene...
He said on the interview they asked one another if they were okay since it was so intense. You really have to put yourself in it and shut off reality for awhile.
That’s what I did I had to turn off my emotions as I coped( similar) I won’t go into details.
Hi, that's what struck me. She'd produced such an amazing, emotive, strong performance that it was, 'on-set' palpable..amazing. He did the right thing. Assisting her exit...it was polite and needed xx both professionals 👋👋👋💜
Stanley hated his character. I think it was harder for him to do it than it was for her playing her character.
Lol Tucci just chillin' in the bath.
Natasha Opacic I'm screaming
LOL I don't think so! This is the behind the scenes where We find out the difference between Tucci and His character.
This scene really made feel dirty in a certain way, the pureness of a little girl stolen by a gross man.
@@giovannyandrescortesrodrig2846 You probably have many Lovely Bones Stories running through Your Life not knowing about them! I would like to say *BOO* to You I am such a story Myself. I have known many other ghost stories as well. You should also watch CONTACT 1997, Tie Them together, it will make much more sense of what "The in between" is!
Im laughing
I love how Stanley looks so concerned after they yelled cut.
Yeah he loved her and looked after her during the shoot as she did him. ❤️. :)
She's such a great actor. I can understand her crying, I mean, to get in the headspace of a young girl who's just been raped and murdered, I'd cry as well. And that scream probably shook her as well.
Sarena Coulon what I should’ve done when nm
Actress
@@akazaynab same thing.
Also can we just talk about how she's crying afterwards? Really powerful scene.
Rosa It was really intense so of course she will cry. She is such an amazing actress!
I’m late asf, but I felt that shit (the pain in her scream) too. As someone who holds 27 years of pent up anger, screaming on top of your lungs like that is so relieving. I did it once when I was alone and cried after 😂
I imagine its hard to act stuff like that and not be affected afterward. I imagine even all the famous actors would say the same.
I think she was actually crying - sometimes that happens to actors/actresses when they have to play a really emotional part. Obviously Saoirse was pretty overwhelmed when she did this part so I think that's what happened :)
LondoninColouredRain makes me wanna cry
@@stephsoohall6841 i legit did cry lol even though it's behind the scenes
Actors are very empathic and emotional people. ❤️❤️. That is what makes then good at their job.
She is a great actor
Actress*
Julia Bernardo no actor is actually an unisex term
@@juliabernardo8958
She refers to herself as an actor.
the way she disintegrates and fades away like dust just kills me...
Saoirse should have win an oscar for this scene/ film!
This made me feel so bad for the "bad" guy.I`m sure he wanted to check siorse was ok aswell.Such a nice guy inreality.very intense ,difficult part to play ,I`m sure.
TheHappyheart77 yes and you had see it in his eyes that he wanted too see if she's okay
Such an intense scene, so overwhelming... full of emotion, I cry too.
that scream omg chills everywhere
She needs an Oscar and not only because of this Movie she is great in everything ❤️
It's shocking about how horrid and vile someone can be in a movie yet be so lovely in person. To take on a role as big as his is a risk considering the public these days judge an actor on their character in a film. I think he's a brilliant actor and a lovely person in general.
JessicaIcePop3000 yes I do dislike thecharacter but the actor I do like him.
Yep
She is such an amazing actor.
her after the scene gave me goosebumps tbh. how affected she was with the role just shows how in tune she was with the character and gosh that’s such a scary yet amazing skill and talent to have
what an emotional scene to film....
What a genius. All that fear and despair in one scream. It gave me chills. Well done Saoirse!
That's acting right there, feeling the emotions with the character. Intense stuff.
I love Saoirse
That scream is so God damn powerful. You know Saoirse had to get in touch with Susie's character. Your 14 years old, you've been raped and murdered but your spirit was so desperate to escape you forgot you had been murdered. So you run for your life, screaming for your mom and dad, run home (the safe haven for a child) only to realize you never in fact left that hole in the ground, and everything you knew as your life was now done. All because you trusted your neighbor and didn't want to be rude.
I love watching her talking about the scene, she's so talented and professional.
And this shit got me crying got me crying like a child
I can't believe how good of an actress she is and how awesome her accent is.
I’ve watched this like 10 times. And I still can’t get over it
I love it how everybody's an expert here on her acting. Who needs directors and producers when you're all here dissecting the scene.
That scene gave me goose bumps. Such good performance from such a young actress.
She’s such a talented actor at her age during the time of the filming!
This movie made me feel so many emotions. A beautiful movie. Great acting.
It’s just impossible to imagine any of the characters being portrayed by any other actor/actress. This cast was meant to be, simply brilliant.
I'm so so sorry for her that she's crying
Wow. She's Incredible. That's such an intense scene that gave me goosebumps.
when i found out stanley tucci played mr harvey i literally couldn’t believe it. he looked unrecognizable in his costume tbh
Awe :[
I always used to wonder when it comes to tough scenes like that (especially a film that deals with trauma such as this) if the actors/actresses have a hard time once they say "cut" to pull out of the moment.
Natalie R. I was wondering if they were gonna show her shaking cuz I don’t blame her for that
Yep from what i know of it, they do. It’s a rare actor that doesn’t need to.
i saw the movie and its sad i was crying like from the whole movie
this is sad
I read the book and after the first chapter I layed down the book and cried about Susie. I was already going to miss her on earth.
madenkind
I read the entire book all summer and when I closed the last page of the book, I locked myself in my room and cried. It felt like saying good-bye to an old friend I never met. It's a real emotion and I really felt like I was going to miss her. It's so strange how I got more attacthed to a fictional character than someone in real life.
Shaina Penguin
Maybe it's not so strange. A real person is just like he or she is without giving any thoughts to it. A fictional character is someone's imagination, the author gave a lot of thinking into building that fictional person. It's a well constructed person and we only get to see what the author wants us to see of this person and if the author doesn't want us to see the worst facette of it's figure he just doesn't write them down. This way we might see more loveable characters in books than in real life. That's just what I thought after reading your comment.
my mind just flew away
Amo su actuación, y la verdad me llegó mucho la película, también el libro, en serio tiene mucho sentimiento 😭😭😭
when i first saw this scene all i kept thinking is how satisfying it must've been to just be able to scream so loud. but then after i watched this i realized how crucial this scene is and how emotional it really was.
man, when she screams like that it just chills me to the core totally awesome!
I know they're both (Saoirse and Stanley) was affected by this movie. But they should be very proud for creating something beautiful and truthful, albeit the horrors. It taught me, and everyone else in my family valuable lesson.
the actual movie was on a few days ago it was awesome and scary!
Agree
I watched this movie yesterday I’m 18 now still cried the same as I did when I first watched it at the age of 13 but after the movie ended I hugged my sister and just told her don’t be overfriendly with everyone cause you never know what could happen
I love this movie, i cried tears 🥺
Oh my goodness she is a good actress. Brought me to tears
It tore me apart seeing her scream in the movie but seeing the behind the scenes impressed me how she got so into her role! 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Saoirse always seemed mature and intelligent at such a young age. She’s an amazing actress!
She’s so young and kiddie here! Makes the scene so much more sad.
I remember watching this movie when I was 10, alone.. I don’t regret it..it was a work of art!
Just watched the movie again, THAT SCREAM just tore my heart again
UA-cam me lo recomendó después de 9 años brutala v:
These actors put everything into this movie. Their incredible talent made this movie a riveting tale that will haunt you long after you’ve watched it.
I really love this movie ❤️ although sometimes I cry
Such a tragic and wonderful film, although extremely terrifying and unsettling its one of the most amazing movies ive seem. The acting is phenomenal and they did such a wonderful job with these tough roles. I also had no idea stanley tucci played the murder
I’m 13 and my mother made me watch this movie with her a couple weeks ago.i never wanted too because it looked “old and boring” but it was such an admirable movie.
my favourite actress 🥺🥺🥺
Man this movie just breaks my heart
Saoirse is a such a good actress and so sweet
So incredibly deep and saddening . The scenario of walking home from school to - being murdered and fading away into another dimension. Un-freaking-real! 🥺😢!
shes a brilliant actress..that is so difficult to pull off...but sge did shes so talented.
She's an amazing actress
Such a powerful movie I always cry when I watch it. 🥺
I love this movie the cast really do get. Into their work really well
Wow. Gut wrenching scream. The video volume is very low but it was still a gut wrenching scream.
It's astonishing to see how much of a toll such a scene takes, at least for a short period of time, on the actor despite it just being acting. You'll only be able to understand this if you ever tried to scream as loud and as intense as you can. You'd think it's easy, but it really isn't. When shit's getting intense emotions are going to kick in and there's nothing you can do about it. You just have to deal with them and things like that usually aren't like an on or off switch. Takes some time.
omg this was my favorite movie since I was little
I will remember this film forever.
some roles have a massive mental toll on people or take a lot to get into that deep place in your character’s mind. she’s one hell of an actor god dammit!!!
I loved this movie. The actors were all so good.
She’s Irish!!!! Whaaaa. Omg she did such a good accent.
I swear after watching this movie I felt so so bad 🥺 I couldn’t sleep normally at night 🥺
The book is very detailed & graffic...I cried reading the book & watching the film x
Yes the death was so terrifying in the book they don't really explain that disgusting part in the movie due to how horrifying the actual story was in the book. The movie was good, it was made to be more family friendly compared to the book, nevertheless I loved it, it wreaked my heart in a bittersweet way.. Gonna show my kids the movie version to warn them about Stranger Danger even regarding Neighbours.
wow this broke my heart. she is such a good actress!!
She's such an amazing actress. This film is so haunting.
it makes me cry in this scene honestly
Alto valor para actuar de esa manera, que hermosa actriz.
This scene made me cry idk why
I watched this movie a year or two after it came out. It broke my heart so much that I avoided it for 10 years. Watched it again, it still affects me now.
Me too 😢
I remember this movie
This movie made me cry so fucking much
Deserved an Oscar
she is such a brilliant actress
Omg I loved this movie and the book
she's the best actress
amazing acting!
Wait, Susie is Irish in real life.
I'm in love
Every single time I watch this scene I end up bawling! This scene has terrified me every single time I watch this movie!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
And there’s a spoiler that I wasn’t ready for. Wasn’t able to see the movie in theaters but was super interested. And now I know the end. So. That’s how my 2020 is going.
This movie so old lmao but it’s on yt. Plus this isn’t the ending it’s known she died b4 yu even get to the end she says it in the first few lines
She is just like my sister,i want to hug her .😊
i cried with thats movie ..
This is incredible..
Amazing.... my favorite movie of world
I got the chills
If there were ever a movie villain...that was most despicable, most hated, the worst of the worst...this character has to take it all. Plenty of movies with heroes and villains, but none compare to the atrocities of this guy.
I still cry everytime i watch this movie🥺💜 2020 anyone?
I cried so hard in this scene💔
