I discovered them on Little Steven’s Underground Garage. I was immediately pulled into the Weeds. Great hooks and harmonies. I love what they are doing today.
i've heard two songs by this group on Sirius Xm, on the Underground Garage i want to say. I've rarely heard a group that i liked more on first listen... and second. they can be the kinks; they can be the beatles; they can be the byrds; they can be early R.E.M.; they can be oasis... they can probably by Manchester United and the cub scouts if they want to be. how groovy to be that good - AND that versatile - at the same time. Brilliant.
Do they still exist? Saw them in Tübingen/Germany in ca. 1992, bought the Vinyl LP. By the way: Grip Weed was the soldier character that John Lennon played in "How i won the war".
