J.D. Salinger was right. Becoming an adult in civil society often erases a fundamental authenticity within us. At age 41, I keep wanting to catch myself in the rye.
I watched a lot of your videos growing up, and they had a childlike magic we should all try to keep alive, even as adults. Thank you for teaching a generation about fun and play!
Maaan you have no idea how much these short videos mean to me. Short and straight to the point, unlike other UA-camrs that fill videos with meaningless content in order to reach the 10 minute mark Much love from South Africa
@DrJinKwon Samsung Tab Ultra 8. Incredible message and your life certainly resonates with mine. Being an introvert, I'm still in the process of trying to find friends. I spent most of my younger years people pleasing and always being there for friends. I was a social chameleon mimicking different traits from people and never devolped my own self of self & personal values. This led me down some very ominous paths. Let's just say I had a spiritual experience by Lucy, and it completely changed my perspective on life and the people whom I thought were my friends growing up in my adolescent years where just using me.
these were amazing points. got me thinking more deeply about what's actually me vs. what was farmed and drilled into my personality. fellow young creator here reflecting on similar points. keep it up!
Dude this is my second video after your "broken" video poped up in my feed and there is smth abt you that's gonna make me binj watch all your vids now.. p.s, am not 20 :D
The mind of a gifted child , we are always interested , so many hobbies. As an INTJ and gifted its even more traumatic, we find comfort in weird things and man what a pleasure in the small joys
I was like this too for a really long time . Until i found THE friend , the person i only spoke my mind to the person i could be myself to . I had a lot of good friends in high school but as an introvert it felt too much , i could've keep up with all of them so after i high schools i stopped talking to all of them , i deleted my social medias and got a nwe number and kept taling to my friend . It wasnt as hard as i imagined it would be . It felt good , to finally only act myself . Now when i meet nwe ppl i always only act as me and say MY true opinion on things and never really get too close to anyone tho , bc i feel like my one friend is all i need . Ik im just rambling , i just wanted to get it out . Its important to be yourself , i never understood how fake ppl think and what goes on their mind. They must be all depressed. In the end , we all have one life so why live for ppl ? Live for life
Thanks to youtube algorithm that i came across this beautiful channel which is filled with immense crisp and necessary content to reach lot's of people you are really making a change Love from India 🇮🇳
Dude, you can really see the hard work that goes in your videos. I’m so happy I have gotten to watch your account grow from less than 100 subscribers to now over 8k. Keep pushing and I think you can make it much much bigger
I thought you really talked about me the same thoughts the same feelings i thought that I was the wrong and I live in the wrong way or there was a matter in me but now I i think am not alone and you just give us the solution simply thank u your new subscriber from Egypt
It hit me when you said "nerdy memer". I mean I actually kind of feel the same. I am now one of those people that you can rely on even though we haven't met yet. (xd)
that's wild you mentioned Shell Silverstein bc a few hours ago I was watching an interview w Chris Do and he mentioned Shell Silverstein's "The Missing Piece" and I was like wow that was impactful. Which of their poems did you read that you mentioned in the video?
HOW IS THIS ON MY FYP WHEN IT'S ONLY BEEN POSTED 12 SECONDS AGO? im still watching tho so might edit edit: okay yea this is a cool video and I'm sure everyone has felt similar to this at some point the video was well done, simple, and got to the point while also being relatable the part where filtering yourself for others is very real and I know how that feels but i'm also glad you found your people and also like, the message is simple yet resonates with many people which i think is really fascinating thanks for the video Jin Kwon :) (just realized i subbed already)
i wonder why the title is stylized like that (mix of uppercase and lowercase), it kinda gives the impression to me that the video is indicating that that quote is bad but the content of the video is kinda the opposite. That or am i missing the point here?

I've just listened on my phone and it's not as loud. I think it might be due to my sound settings on my tablet.
Anyway, keep up the great work.
thanks so much for sharing, Sophia. it can be hard to make friends as an introvert - i can relate to that!
