@@jamesrochester3802 - yes! Improvement immediately when I put the braces on, and continued improvement over time. I got braces for both legs because my dog’s strongest leg wasn’t that great either. Best decision I ever made. Great company.
Just purchased both left and right leg for my GSD Namaste, he us diplyastic and both left and right acl are torn. If I had found these sooner it would have saved a ton of heart ache. I hope they work and are comfortable for him.
Read ALL the fine print. Once they get your money, they will not give you any type of refund, no matter how poorly the brace is constructed, how badly it fails to provide the support they promise, or how much time YOU will need to spend trying to make it work for your dog. The brace they sent me was damaged during manufacturing (not shipping) on both the top and bottom shells. Whoever made it slipped (multiple times) when they were buffing the edges, and ran the buffing wheel across both surfaces, melting the plastic. These are not small blemishes. They're deep gouges 1/2" wide and several inches long. They apparently do not have any sort of quality control checks in place - or they just feel we should accept this kind of poor workmanship. What's worse is that it did not fit. I've had quite a bit of experience casting (I was an Army medic and I worked in Orthopedics), so I know the casting I sent in was accurate. But the brace they sent was so far off, I'm not even sure, they used the correct casting. In hindsight, I can now see how their customer experience videos are extremely misleading. The video's give the impression you'll see some level of improvement almost immediately. Then, when you get the brace, it comes with a couple pages of disclaimers that explain it will take 4 weeks before the dog should be expected to tolerate wearing the brace throughout the day. And 2 months before the dog can engage in any playful activity. It’s 2022. I'm accustomed to snake-oil sales pitches everywhere you turn. But I expected more from "dog people" selling healthcare products. I'm not saying some of their products couldn't improve the lives of some dogs with extreme debilitations. But I would strongly discourage anyone from buying a knee (Stifle) brace for any dog with a damaged CCL. These knee braces are mostly misdirection marketing hyperbole. You get a brace, and then you do a lot of other things, in addition to the brace, to help your dog heal. As it turns out, all the other things yield some benefits, and the brace makers take the credit. I’m glad AOC helped elephants, and turtles and donkeys, but I’d bet they generate most of their revenue from canine stifle braces, which aren’t really needed for smaller dogs and don’t work on bigger dogs with the most common CCL tears. I wish I had considered the reviews. They have about 50% of the people giving them 5’s and 50% giving them 1’s. Not a good sign.
Yay!! I just got both braces for my dog in the mail. Thank you! I love you guys. 💜💜💜🐶
I just sent the mold in yesterday, so we'll have ours very soon. Have you noticed any improvement?
