Very cool! Here in OK, we grow canola in the winter in rotation with wheat. Our land is just for cattle and hay, but the yellow blooms in the spring are beautiful.
Those guys are driving real trucks not plastic shit that's why they're good drivers, everyone should make a point of hiring companies that give their drivers real trucks.
When trucks come.... I call them come by chance trucking... Most dispatchers/truckers think you have nothing to do when they (plan your life) when they leave you in suspense!
My experience with custom trucks like that is they say they’ll show up at 10 in the morning and you end up loading them at 10 at night lol. Local guys are good but some of the long haul custom outfits leave a bit to be desired sometimes. Still a necessary evil sometimes though. Nice to hear it all worked out for ya hopefully they were fair on dockage. One of my concerns shipping stuff further afar is you’re at their mercy once it gets there.
Long time viewer here ... first time commenter.. always love your videos... how many acres do you run and how big is your beef operation ??... I'm from southern Minnesota here.. run 800 acres of corn, soybeans, and sweet corn... Merry Christmas !!
Iv always wondered why grain vacs don’t have 2 of them rely flexible hoses is there a reason? Or maybe a longer one they always seem to short and the steel flex ones are a pain in the ass
Canola is sold by the bushel, 50 pounds per bushel. A superbee carries about 1600 bushels. Actually in Canada it’s all priced by the metric system but farmers still think in bushels and acres.
Thanks for all the videos. Country sure has changed and opened up in the last 40 years since the wife and I moved away.
@stepark3437 yea that's for sure

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
Just curious do any of these trucks carry fracking sand up there?
Some do i know
What happened ? You said see ya when I get back home the the vac and augar.
Getting excited to see what John Deere tractor you buy..
Hey Tyson how do you decide when to sell your canola
When I can get the highest price.. need to pay bills...and i don't really like to sit on my canola for long
Iv always wondered why grain vacs don’t have 2 of them rely flexible hoses is there a reason? Or maybe a longer one they always seem to short and the steel flex ones are a pain in the ass
The flex hose really slows the grain flow down...
Isn't there a place closer that you could take that canola too? Camrose is a long haul.
They have us the best price
Hope you got a decent price
Everything is way down this year
@@Northern_Farmer Same in the US soybeans are at 1972 prices
That is a lot of canola. How many acres to get that much canola?
400
Merry Christmas.
Same to you!
Merry Christmas 🍻
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you too.
is canola sold by the bushel or 100 weight ? Grain trains hold about 1,200 bushel ?

What Randy said
And the super b holds around 18..to 1900 bushel
When are you going to buy that new tractor? And fix the D-8?
Maybe a tractor in the spring
THANKS!
So now what are you going to do with all that money Tyson?lol anyhow you guys have a MERRY Christmas
Lol pay fertilizer bills
Merry Christmas Good stuff
How many bushels will those supers hold?
1900 legal...but they can hold up to 2100 for sure
What’s your freight rate to Camrose?
They took .70 cents off per bushel
@ guess you can’t haul it for that price. Too bad you didn’t have more processing in the north
We’ve sold in yard to camrose crush before that’s what they do send one truck after another with the crews they have
They didn't send the trucks...the elevator hired them
@ Yea I know maybe I worded it wrong that’s what I meant you sell to them basically “in yard” and the elevator looks after the trucking
MERRY CHRISTMAS , did Lee Transport haul any canola for u ??
Most guys around here haul 45 metric tonnes , approx 2000 bu !!
