That’s absolutely beautiful! That handle and Damascus patterns are mind blowing! 🤯
That chisel needs to be viewed in a museum for all to see.
Amazing, I never thought I’d see a chisel that I could hang on the wall, like a piece of art!!
god, this is just wonderful. imagine owning something like this. it's absolutely spectacular.
This guy would slay the competition on "Forged In Fire". "It will keel".
It’s a chisel not a weapon
@@masonrains5010 A chisel? Ahh.. THAT'S why the title says "Japanese chisel". And I thought it was a Japanese Katana. Silly me.
@@johnbrady1211 I mean I guess it could definitely still kill somebody
@@masonrains5010 Really, this guy can put lethal edge on a boy scout knife. I'm sure if you jammed that beautiful wood carving tool into someone's throat, "it will keel". 😖
I reckon that would come in handy hogging out 4x4's with mortise and tenon joints for legs on a work bench.
@@johnbrady1211 I know yes he is really impressive but I would never use that as a weapon. Because of beauty and efficiency
I always find myself in awe of your work my friend! That is a beautiful tool! I personally couldn't use it as a chisel. It would
hang on my wall as art! Great video, Dmitry!
Stunning !!
I would never be able to use such a work of art. I would hang it on the wall next to my tv to i could look at it daily .
Incredibly beautiful.
Beautiful and amazing work as always. Been watching for awhile. Don't comment much. But I wanted to say I appreciate the content and live watching you work. :)
Just amazing, what a skill! Thank you for showing us!
Carpenters appreciate blacksmiths a lot. Especially the ones who make good chisels like you. Using nailpolish as a Cover, great idea. Wonderful video !
Sensei Shevchenko, may you be blessed.
This looks more like a work of art than a tool.. amazing job.. thank you

This is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Chisel I've seen.
My chisels are Kirschen made in Germany.
They're amazing but not Esthetic like this one.
Kudos Ukraine.
Gorgeous and brilliant. Absolutely love the DIY power tools as well.
Wonderful work, beautiful to see the flow of the production, 1 step, then the next, then the next. You have a gifted mind and hands !
Thank you so much! I got my questions about Damascus steel answered and it’s also very cool to watch!
Absolutely beautiful dude, well done. Its got such a look of quality to it. 👍
To już nie kowalstwo tylko sztuka 💖
Yes!! Thank you for showing us your artwork complete with handle.
Amazing piece of work.
Its an absolute joy watching you work. Your videos are perfect, no mindless jokes or talking just a craftsmen and his work. Very good vid ty.
Well said Justin. Too much talking kills it for many of us.
Unbelievable. Congratulation, this is fenomenal piece of art. I wish, I could do this things.
An amazing piece of art! Can be used for carving, but really should be on display for others to admire!
Dmitry, you are truly gifted. I love watching you work and I really love the projects you design. They are truly works of art. Well done sir!
Some people watch soap cutting, others watch stuff with slime.
This is the kind of thing that makes me relax.
Aren’t you so special
Not particularly no. Why?
This is Amazing craftsmanship. That chisel blade of Damascus was exceptional, top notch. Then, I saw the handle. Holy cow someone spent some time on this tool. Great work! Amazing!
That is master class work. Such attention to detail. The carving on the haft took at least as much work as the pattern weld, forging, and grinding. Absolutely beautiful!
This is such an incerdible looking chisel. You have such an amazing skill sir.
Wow, what more is there to say Tool making is the purest form of blacksmiths. Your using your tools and skills that will allow others to do the same. I love chisels and planes that are handmade!
Damascus is so beautiful and never 2 pieces exactly the same, a nice skill(and machinery) to have, awesome.
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so very much for making this video.
I find your videos very relaxing thank you I can really enjoy this I'm retired
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho ficou muito bom 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The most beautiful work I've ever seen
Brilliant! Beautiful Damascus. Respect from the US!
Gorgeous and just as I was going to say but I want to see how the handle was made there you go, thanks for sharing!

I love the epic porcelain bowl of flux that never runs out of flux, every video.
It is metal white-enameled bowl
Latter-Day Saint Math/Science guy: yes sir I agree with you this is nostalgia for this human.
Best of wishes to you and yours!
For fluxs sake 😂
The Chisel is superbly done
This is by far my favorite finished product
Beautiful
Racja
the beauty of the finished chisel took my breath away.
I love watching your work. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I never thought making a knife was interesting until I found this channel! I’m hooked and subscribed!
Absolutely great work! Looks amazing
This is art!! Wow! Greetings from México 🇲🇽
I love the swish over the anvil...shows appreciation 🙏
Very nice pattern welded chisel!
You guys are having so much fun nowadays!
If only I could go back about fifty years in age and grow up with all of this knowledge at your fingertips!
Another fine tool made in damascus steel ! Have you ever tried copper (red copper) and carbon steel san mai damascus with a high carbon core ??? Or have you ever tried mixing stainless steel and high carbon steel for a damascus blade ??? I have seen such knives , but no one is showing how they make them. Maybe you could try this .
Copper in the plans.
San May from Dmask and carbon steel in the process, will be soon.
Damascus from stainless steel and carbon will be, but San Mayan is on the channel
Hi Dmitry. I have tried copper and carbon steel damascus....but its difficult because copper allready melts at 1080°C.(near welding temperature of steel)....so i had no success. Maybe it works when i put the copper steel layers billet in a cannister(steel box). I learn a lot by looking at you video's....thanks for sharing !! Greetings from Belgium.

beautiful, amazing work of art! would love to see it fully sharpened an in use, wouldn't mind owning a few to work with! just lovely!
Wow!! Beautiful!!! Who could give this a thumbs down?
Now that is a piece of art! Wow!
AMAZING damascus pattern omg

As much as I love the pattern I can't say i would have great confidence in using this as a chisel long term, the edge would wear unevenly due to the variations in the alloy
Go read up on carbon migration...
Yeah, a lot of work for that 1cm meat, and even that can"t be sharpened corectly because the bottom is corroded too.
Extraordinaire! Fabulous piece!
Might be your most beautiful piece. Amazing work! But no tea?!?
I'm here again because I just watched Alec Steele's Damascus chisel videos. Incredible job Brother! What hydraulic press do you use?
Lol
Triune Blades I quit watching Alec Steel, his channel has become like a sideshow at the circus.

Just stunning workmanship

This is pure art. Outstanding!
Wow, such fantastic work. Extraordinary!
I dream of this chisel every now and then. Great work!
Wow!! Qué hermoso trabajo. Verdaderamente un arte.. bendiciones..
Things money can't buy....very nice
That's so amazing if I had that I would sleep with it every night
😁 I was just thinking about that myself😳 guard it with me life😆👍
The chisel is absolutely amazing but you never know what you might cut during the night 😳
I love the fact that he has like 15 different grinders😅
What ever you create is yours, if you call it someone else's you give away your power.
Call what ever you create yours because you are the same kind of master than all the others!
You deserve it!
💖💖💖Dankeschön 💖💖💖
Pure art. Very nice chisel. I would love to have a set of these.

Try some fine line masking tape in the future. Sharper lines
that handle tho, wow
beautiful piece
Wow ! You sir are an artist. Thank you most humbly for sharing.
I’d love to have that in my wood shop!
I pull my hat off. Purest craftmanship with so much knowledge... In my opinion, oneof your beautiest products. I like all of them but thisone blows me straight away. As a carpenter which i am, i would be damn proud to own a few from these wonderful made pieces.... Absolutely stunning ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
