Hey Gus, thanks for this video, quick question, is the roundtrip latency between a wireless guitar/IEM connection noticeable? keep it up mate
I play backing tracks with my iPad. One iPad and my voice is the set up. If I connect my in ears in aux I will hear a mono signal? So my backing tracks will be mono in my in ears?
Hey, Gys!
I like your content here, very interesting and useful, clear explanation of why nowadays musicians need (or can) to use wireless, in ear monitoring system.
When you coming with your band for performance to London man?)
Hug)
Are the 4 receivers able to work with only 1 transmitter?
Our band is just about to take the switch as well - as we're using modelers (Fractal etc.) it's even easiert than with the amps. During rehearsals we tested it with cables but I already did some research on wireless sets.
I've been said the all wireless sets
Honestly, even the high end stuff can have issues sometimes. I probably wouldn’t use a cheaper wireless or IEM on a huge open air stage, but for smaller club situations it’s a good solution without breaking the bank. I like how this Xvive sounds in my home studio but I plan to test it on stage very soon
@@firetv Great to hear and thanks for coming back to me, man! Appreciate it but I’m also surprised that you haven’t used IEM before.
@@firetv hello bro, did you manage to test xvive u4 on a big stage? how big is the difference with the expensive sennheiser IEM g4? thanks for the review)
Great review.
But, what if you're playing live and want to take a break and talk to the audience? Does the sound guy or FOH have to pause the click track or?
I play small clubs and can see the big advantage. ♥️🤘♥️
Thanks kind sir. ♥️🤘♥️
The click track is ran either by someone in the crew or (usually) the drummer with a playback device. When the song ends, click stops ;)
@@firetv Thanks sir. I so wondered about that. It sounds like a great idea. Especially if you can change effects and lights and pyro, etc, automatically. Do you use a computer and midi with some software like pro tools? Very cool. ♥️🤘♥️
You're the man Gus. 💪♥️💪
GUS. Please kind sir show us your Red Soloist Jackson with reverse headstock and tell us when you use it live if you do and how it compares to your other Jackson's if you would sir 🤘♥️🤘♥️
ΙΕΜs are the thing when performing live, but what about that room sound you get from an amp+cab since it feels like having your ear attached to the grill cloth of the cab when using IEMs. It's a bit frustrating
FYI: do not do only one ear. It will wreck that ear. quick test to prove it. Put both ears in, get it at comfortable volume, now pull one out.... it sounds lower in volume now right, so what do you do you turn it up, thus pummeling that ear.
Not necessarily. If you’re performing at an big open air festival stage it’s not always louder, but more ambient. Really depends on the situation, how far the drummer is, how loud side fills are, etc etc.
Silley question. Can you headbang with ear monitors?
VERY good question! Yes you can, but unless you get a custom ear mold they get a bit loose after too much headbanging
interesting
