- This song is a tribute to the folk music of Nepal and the tunes of the mountains all over the world. Shot and played Live in Darjeeling near the borders of India and Nepal, this travel session is a long due respect to all Nepali speaking people across the world.
Machi Kadaile is a beautiful song from Nepal inspired by ancient folk poetry and traditional tunes, previously performed and revived by great Urban and Rural artists like Diwas Gurung and Dilu Gandharva. Special thanks to Mr. Gurung and his father for their contributions to the regional music of Nepal. It was initially curated by the great Sudan Sharma.
In this version Arko has been accompanied by one of the most humble and under-rated guitar geniuses from the sub continent, Mr Koustav Dey, an amazing musician, teacher and friend to many.
The video has been edited and shot live, by Uparjan Rai and Shivam Darnal from Darjeeling. Uparjan's Insta id : / zixy_z_vloggs
The audio is recorded on location, mixed and mastered by Sourav Bagchi.

Yes they were sliced when it was annexed by Nepal from Sikkim, Now it's in India and the only little thing left to do is United Sikkim within India, glad it happened, we love Nepal for the common cultural heritage
Actually this song I had listened almost 45 years back in an army stage program singing by a young Gurkhali soldier from NEPAL that was my kind, yours way is little different but I liked it thank you for giving me opportunity to listen to it again and bring back that soldier in my mind. Thanks bro.

I always loved Nepali music especially Albatross, Nepthaya and all but Bipul Chettri and Arko has reinvented the traditional vibes. Since I am an Assamese I don't understand most of the lyrics but Nepali music is the most soothing. Arko should be given some serious award by Nepalis for bringing life to their folk music.
