You are very true ma'am. I'm from, grew up in south Florida(the first cocaine capital of America). I got involved with Spanish gangs, and cocaine distribution at an early age. Change is an individual decision! Yes I made thousands per week(late 90s, early 2000s). I grew up in church(very fortunately 🙏). I looked up to my older cousin. I thought he was an electrician(but lied), and became a real one indirectly. I prayed that the God of the holy Bible substitute hustling for a legitimate career. Now I'm 11 years of my field. I thank God. Never been out of work(even during the pandemic)! Received emails to work out of the country the past couple years!! Life really is what we make it! The power of life, and death is in the tongue. I will continue to speak life into my life, and everyone I meet.. be/ stay blessed!

It drives me crazy when a guest says “the black community”. Not every black community is the same; not every black family is in “the life” nor full of addicts. It’s unfortunate that so many young brown children suffered a rough upbringing but there are literally millions of so called “SQUARE”, educated, boring black families. Thousands are graduating with degrees of all levels every May and every December. It’s a shame folks aren’t aware that there’s a better way. Sad!

It’s expressed in a different manner but it is definitely expressed commonly by killing or harassing the unwanted person. Attempts to keep neighborhoods “all white” have led to MANY deaths of black men because their kind are not welcomed. There’s a long history of “white flight” from white communities. Have you been living under a rock or with your head in the sand??? There are numerous recent demonstrations of whites protecting their “white” community. Speaking of legal versus illegal hustle a pimp and a preacher are just two sides of the same coin. Both try to finesse people out of their hard earned cash but one has “respectability” backing it up. Yes the use of quotes means I don’t respect either. What I DO respect is this man’s desire to give back to his community - though not charging kids to video his luxury cars is a serious stretch. My final two cents is I think prostitution should be legal, taxed and regulated for safety. If we can give it away for free we should be able to charge for it if we want to. A temp agency is the same thing as a pimp. At most maybe a one time client referral fee; not taking a substantial cut every time a person goes out to a job. Drug addiction might not be as big a problem if women had control of work that is soul-sucking in its current dynamic.

You do not have to put your hands on your child to teach them right from wrong and steer them in the right direction. It does nothing but breed fear, resentment, and generational trauma.
How about starting to teach mental and emotional maturity in our community. Teach our young black men and women to be LEADERS, and WE as black adults need to LEAD by example. The black community is the way it is due to systemic issues, and the failures of our ancestors that it caused that are unfortunately being perpetuated today bc it’s all they know.

Glad the brother changed his life. Man provides tons of jobs, Building Real Estate, and Businesses in his community while with his wife for 45yrs. A living testimony that none of is flawless but we can remain faithful. Some of the comments here are exactly why many people escpecially youth DONT change their lifestyle. Their attitude is damn if I do damn if I don't. This do to scrutiny, criticism, and a negative outlook either way by society. Hate is a beautiful liar. Some of the most decent appearing people that feel they are wholesome enough having the nerve to critic someone else's journey are actually filled with hate. Keep pushing for change Minister Seamore.

He right children need guidance in today’s world and let them know what’s up. It best to keep kids off the street in safe environments even if you have a comfortable home to stay in. Children need too feel that they can trust you with what they tell you. It’s a lot of sad stories these babies got these days.
