Funny that people are complaining about the price point of this car. Keep in mind those who kept saying that you can get an SUV at 1.6M, true but good luck with the equipment that it comes with it. Bare-bones mid sized SUVs are priced at par with a fully-equipped Titanium X. While I kind of agree that its a bummer that it had a bump on its price compared with the outgoing model but it also got bigger and better in its every previous aspect. This thing can easily compete with any crossover/5-seater SUVs in the market and might even beat it with its features. Good luck with your 2.5M fully-equipped 7 seater SUVs. Thats 900k more than this.
Same. I was eyeing the CX-5, but after seeing this new model, this is more bang for the buck but still with comfort in mind. Both have different design philosophies so I won't be comparing them for that. But for what it is at 1.6M? The CX-5 became more of just a "want" now than a "need." Heck, this next-gen model made the outgoing model of the HRV look like an overpriced barebones vehicle (which it is compared to other regions). I don't even mind that this Ford Territory isn't even a hybrid, but the features it provides is so good for the price you pay for it. Design-wise, there's that slight feel of a Toyota Corolla Cross on the sides, which is something of a personal preference of mine, so that's another check for me. Another is, not everyone cares about 7-seater SUVs. I know I don't. So this next-gen model for its price is a good prospect for someone like me who wants a compact 5-seater SUV that can cater to most of what I need on a daily basis especially for a family of four.
Looking at the top end Toyota Corolla cross (which is the one you want if you're looking at tech and safety) this is more worth it imo. Sad that it got bigger since I liked the size of the old territory though.

Basically a chery tiggo 8 pro 5 seater with a different badge. Looks has resemblance in and out, tech and fuel consumption at par and the pricing as well. After all territory roots are from a ford & a Chinese entity venture. Additionally, Chery warranty package 7 yrs engine & bumper to bumper + 3 yrs free pms looks more enticing

I hate it when manufacturers do that “Bumper Headlight” thing. Like Mitsubishi and this. The world called it BUMPERS for a purpose. Its the most prone part of the car that gets hit...or bumped. Thus making one of the most expensive accessories of the car - the headlight, a target for replacement or repair when u get into an accident. 😂 more more money to spend.
At this price point, you could well be purchasing an SUV or a full trim SEDAN. No wonder people love the Coolray, Stonic, raize and Kona, given their body type and price point. Totoong Subcompact crossovers talaga
I was planning to get Ford Territory i thought the Price will be the same or a bit more than the last model considering all the bells and whistle are included on the 1.3M price range. now the Base model close to 1.4M and the Titanum X 1.6M i think a bit too much..ill probably stick with coolray SE it pretty much have all the ford had just the size a bit smaller. But geely got more power..I like the new look of the Territory just the price made me look somewhere else..😢 knowing that it is a subcompact not a full SUV you can get SUv for that 1.6M price..nice review though..

If you want a 7-seater, get base model SUV without any creature comfort or perhaps a mid-top variant MPV at this price point. If you are in the market for a comfortable and fully-equipped 5-seater, this is your choice. It’s not gonna put 2 extra seats just to market itself as a “7 seater” even if you can only sit kids at the back. If you listened carefully, this car is longer than a CRV and wider than a Fortuner/Montero. It’s not a subcompact. 😉

is it true --- the territory is a rebranded vehicle manufactured in China and the engine is possibly not. the genuine eco boost engine , rather and engine manufactured also in China . I ask because I have experience with a brand new Ford with the genuine ford eco boost engine and that car was the most economical I have driven in 30 years . I like the territory, but a little confused as to its origins to be honest but still thinking about it .Something is not right !!!!!
