Love or hate the guy he did his job. He played that role. He was a great teammate and not the same guy off the ice as he his on or on the game day itself. I met him after a game in Ottawa and it suprised me how nice he was. What a beauty.
He was the most loved player on your team and the most hated if he was not. I loved watching him play and he was a scraper and backed up his play and talk. Great career and great player!!!
Avery reminds me so much of Christian Bale in American Psycho. The mannerisms, vocal phrasing, cheek bones, the lack of originality, the vanity, the lack of personal accountability.
What was once an asset became an obstacle. His antics became too much of a liability for his teammates because he ended up in the box too many times which was detrimental to the team when the other team had the power play. Still, nonetheless, he was always entertaining.
why would he have regrets? highly effective player. 2002 rangers vs. leafs controlled the whole game. With a dozen hall of famers out there so suck it. PS Im from Toronto
Well I love Sean Avery, but he has done a few things off the ice he shouldn't have done. He was always funny and he wasn't a great hockey player technically, but when he was kicked out of the NHL I wasn't the happiest person. That said of all the players we could have back I would put him as a relief player. Not a Keith Primeau or Adam Foote. They are well rounded players and Avery was just funny.

Scott Stevens is still playing and his career would’ve been over in a flash. He got to be the “bad boy” during a time when many of the old school bruisers were gone.
rey1jj if you played against the biggest goon in the NHL or the worst player in the NHL, I guarantee they would be better than the best player you ever played with...
@@tednugent-hopkis But if Avery did that to lindros....omg, people would have FREAKED. Avery was simply the last of a dying breed. You may not like sean, but let's be honest....the game was soooo much better when there were players like him in the lineup.
If that was hextall or roy ya luckey he donest skate bo legged but it never happen if say a martey McSorley was there or nother d man like him cause he be dead.
Sean Avery was the biggest Disgrace the NHL has ever seen such a disappointment for young and up and coming player to see a professional athlete act like he did not the role model u need nobody cares he’s gone
Not every hockey player is a role model. If they were....they'd be called role models...not hockey players. There are athletes that are...and athletes that are not. What athletes are....are entertainers. Sean was entertaining as HELL. He could play a good game too. And to call him the biggest disgrace to the sport is a bit of a reach. A saint? No. The biggest disgrace? No. A role model? No. But that wasnt his job. He was hired to annoy and score some goals...which he did. I can guarantee you he was never hired for the purpose of being a role model. And if he really was as bad as everyone claims...the NHL is as much to blame as anyone. Every team that signed him knew his reputation, his style, and what he brought to the table. A gritty player, that could play the game and run his mouth.
For a guy who never finished high school he’s very intelligent
Sad that people hate on these types of players these days.
Hate?.. absolutely! He's a dirty cheap shot punk!
They always did…
@@Jibbermidget he’s literally every 70’s player lol
Cancer in the dressing rooms. And what kind of people support narcissist?
Sean is awesome.
I wonder what the Sean Avery parody account will comment on this video
Matt same
Haven't seen him in awhile
Sean Avery ahahaha

Remember his rivalry with Brodeur.
M D P Yeah lol
Noooooooo... he had a rivalry with Marty? Lmao...
Broduer and Avery still hate each other to this day

he's a classic narcissist.
Yes u are right
lol I immediately thought James Cameron would hire someone like him in movies where he can show his real human flaws.
One of my all time favorite Kings.
WHEN YOU PUKE , HE IS WHAT COMES UP
OR IS IT WHEN HE PUKES - YOU COME UP
@@eddriver7815 Ask your Mom nerd boy.
Christine Simpson should regret all the plastic surgery wayyyyyy before Avery should regret his career
21,000 remember his hockey at least. Hockey is The Greatest sport.

Same people who have a problem w/ Avery I would guess probably have a problem w/ Theo Fleury
why would he have regrets? highly effective player. 2002 rangers vs. leafs controlled the whole game. With a dozen hall of famers out there so suck it. PS Im from Toronto
Didn't like him when he played but his book was entertaining
Personally I think he was entertaining and fun to watch not for his skill but for how he played the game
What skill?
PUKE

Greatest player ever. Every hockey guy wishes they could be Avery.

Tony K. You’re clearly mad you’re not Sean avery
You are mixing him up with Bobby Orr
TheGuyWithTaste Dan you're whacked don't make any more comments
Sean Avery Yes. Avery is so good that he’s having processing issues.
I'll just say one thing about Avery..freekin entertaining 😆🇨🇦
Love Avery, and miss seeing him play. If it turns out he is into guys, that would only make him even more badass!
SEAN AVERY FOR HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA
10 teams. 10 different DESPERATE teams!
Scott Stevens is still playing and his career would’ve been over in a flash. He got to be the “bad boy” during a time when many of the old school bruisers were gone.
You think there weren’t players like Avery when Stevens played? lol
“Even though I was a good player”
W h a t b r o
He actually wasn't that bad, given his role as an enforcer. Putting up 30+ points a season is good for a 4th liner.
rey1jj for his role, he one of the best players as a agitator and he scored 20 plus goals before and 30 to 40 points, that pretty good
rey1jj if you played against the biggest goon in the NHL or the worst player in the NHL, I guarantee they would be better than the best player you ever played with...
Max Ward this is 100% true. I played a few pick up games with former NHL enforcer Raitis Ivanas, he lit up our team. Guy was a monster
rey1jj Yeah...he made the NHL. And scored goals.
I'll never forget when he sucker punched Ladislav Smid. Hated him before, but hated him even more after that. Couldn't care less about Avery.
Not even Chuck Norris has a rule.
Still think Scott Stevens is the most hated nhl player...
joel leclair Different kind of hate, but I agree. Both were so unfun to play against.
I would like scott Stevens to put a licking on avery like the one he put on lindros
That's because he was a devil.

nah, now definitely tom wilson
Furthermore this guy's code of conduct belongs in WWF wrestling, not in the NHL. He was an embarrassment to his teammates and the NHL.
He showed up 2 seasons too late, man if we had Avery and Barnaby on the same roster ....😳🤣
newyork rangers rivalry newjersey devils
Anyone else sick of seeing tai Lopez farm house?
i didn't know he was a ginger
I'd love to see this dope try his antics in todays league LOL
It would work perfectly moron..He'd be Marchand without the elbows to the head and slew foots...Avery never suspended once for on-ice play
