A great video as usual Andy, you have to be the best tillage crop farmer on here. You do everything so well and are great at using the technology of today thats available with all modern machinery, u make it look so easy.If i was in my late teens or 20's again i would be looking to work along side you daily to learn from you.You are a credit to the upcoming farmers of today.❤❤
Enjoyable video . I think Weavin drills are great for heavy gravelly soil. The weather is top for it with some views from fields here in the Teme valley you can't beat it!
Cool video again. Great work as always. Interesting to see the differences from UK vs US. . Wondering if you could give us some farm history? How ownership and management have evolved. I’m sure quite different than the typical Midwest US farm. Also, could use more of Eric. Always nice to see a happy dog. Thanks again.
From my understanding - no, it can change depending on conditions and time of year. In winter, if drilling later into colder months, the germination rate will decrease because of colder weather and as such drilling rates go up to account for that. I think I read on one of the seed supply websites (Maybe Frontier) that the general rule is target plants needed increases over time in both Autumn and Spring. Plant establishment % decreases over time in Autumn (colder weather), but increases over time in Spring (warmer weather), unless there is a lack of rain, like last year with a warm dry period when germination can decrease. I think that is broadly right.
It is the seed treatment used. VIBRANCE DUO contains fludioxonil and sedaxane for control of a range of seed borne diseases in winter wheat, winter triticale, winter rye and spring oats, spring wheat and spring barley. Have a look at: www.syngenta.co.uk/product/crop-protection/vibrance-duo
Spring Oats and some Spring Wheat, which he hopes to drill next week, weather permitting. Don't think they are doing any spring beans this year. Winter Barley and Wheat as you probably already know. No OSR either at the moment.
Great video. Love that JD. good looking tractor. Thanks for sharing. The hedges look fab.

Who needs a hedge cutter when you’ve that drill!🤪. Ground looks good, definitely dried out in the last week or 2 👍

Amazing that you have no stones on those fields. Lucky boy
Very lucky. I’ve been on the rolls for 2 weeks and constantly getting out to pick up huge stones...
Great watch as always mate 👍. Just a question andy is the front weight/ toolbox meant to be that low ?
Great looking drill, what have you done ahead of the drill to prepare the soil?
Thanks all we do is 1 pass with the Amazone Ceus
How deep are you drilling the oats?
Your methodology reminds me of Renaissance alchemy
Would you consider organic if money wasn't a problem during the transition faze?
Do you spread much calcium on your clay soil's to help loosen up the clay so it drains better?
Brilliant videos very professional 👍 what editing program do you use?
This video was edited using Filmora 9.
Andy, how many hectares were you covering per hour worked with the weaving drill?
I think it averages 7 but spot rate is 10
@@Itsafarminglifeforme
That’s great output
Hi Andy great video, is the germination ratio always 82% or how do you calculate it.

How heavy is the drill
weight block looking smart are they still doing your discount code ?
yes
Christ that's some width and height down the road but certainly covers the ground quick.
8meters eats the acreage in no time at all 👍🏻🍺🏴
Whats the Vibrance on the oat seed bag for?
It is the seed treatment used.

Why don’t you do any no-till and cover crops?
Nice episode andy what crop you doing this sping
Spring oats
@@St-cn4fh I mean over the whole sping
Spring Oats and some Spring Wheat, which he hopes to drill next week, weather permitting. Don't think they are doing any spring beans this year. Winter Barley and Wheat as you probably already know. No OSR either at the moment.
Awe the star of the videos was missing :-( (eric) lol
She is some yoke. Wish i had the work for her. Must be like driving around in a sitting room so comfy. Great vid.🙂🙂
Not liking this new format. comes across as more of a manufacturers promotional video.
