    This vlog is a great representation of what it’s like there! We ended up going here in Nov 2023. Almost no sargassum at that time of year, the weather was amazing, and the entire experience was fantastic! This vlog was the catalyst to my searching for more info. I found several Google reviews and then sent an email to the resort with all of my questions and they were very helpful and replied within 24 hours. The website also has info on their offerings. I did a detailed review on Google of the resort several months ago and recently added pictures to it, and there are other reviews with pictures on Google too. Good luck fellow travelers!

      Hi @HRuiz-kt5ui thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my video tour of Hayhu Beach Club. I'm so happy to hear that my video tour provided you with the information you needed in order to book your time at Hayhu. It's very kind that you took the time to post a message here in the comments and post a Google Review for Hayhu. I'm sure they appreciate it and I appreciate that you took the time to watch my video tour. Glad you had a great time. Was there anything in particular that was highlight for you?

      You’re very welcome, but you deserve the feedback and participation for such a great video. The vibe there was everything…quiet enough to hear the gentle slap of the waves and to do some reading and napping between the frolics in the water. I felt immersed in the jungle and hundreds of miles from the port. Also, service was fabulous, attentive without being bothersome. Just what you need for a disconnected lazy beach day!

      @@HRuiz-kt5ui thank you again so very much for your kind words. I happy you enjoyed a great day at Hayhu. There weren't many people there the day I was there but we still had a fantastic time. It was just a touch quieter than I would have liked. Enjoyed my nap though.

    VIP sundecks and all looks nice, but where’s the beach?

      Hey @TripReviews thank you for stopping by the channel and for watching my tour of Hayhu Beach. I appreciate you dropping a comment as well. If you're familiar with the Caribbean you're probably aware that during certain months of the year there is a sargasso (seaweed) issue that can plague the beach areas. Over the course of my vacations I've found it is hitting most islands (yes, I know Mexico isn't an island) and you can have sargasso one day and crystal clear water the next. Unfortunately, the day we visited Hayhu the sargasso was quite present so I tried to film around it as much as possible. That said, you will see glimpses of it in the video from time to time. Thank you again for stopping by the channel.

    Thanks for the video. Any idea how the snorkeling is? Is the reef accessible via kayak or swim?

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  10 місяців тому +1

      Great question @EWashington-kc9lo and I apologize that I don't have an answer for you. I was there in May and the surf was a little murky that day so I didn't go in the water much. I opted to relax on that private deck area I rented for the day. Maybe someone else in our community has the answer.

    This small resort looks great and we are thinking about booking the VIP, but I was curious about the price of the food. I have seen some say a few (4) soft drinks, a pineapple drink (no alcohol), a burger and some steak were over $300. Is that the case? Your massive meat platter sounds great btw. Thank you for the video.

      Hi Steve4TW, thank you for stopping by the channel and checking out my Hayhu Beach Club video. I hope you took the time to subscribe as I recently visited three new beach bars on cruise last month. I felt like the VIP was worth it but I always love having a private space for my crew when I'm at a beach bar while also having a public access area to mix and mingle. I don't recall pricing and didn't snap a picture of the menu but the prices would not be what you've been hearing. That said, I can appreciate how some may have made a mistake as they do charge you in Mexican peso not USD. It may have been a situation where someone thought they were paying USD but it was in fact Mexican peso. All that aside; it is a beautiful spot. The VIP sun deck was amazing but as you can see the other areas are wonderful as well. This place is so well maintained and the team really goes great lengths to make sure everyone has the best day at the beach.

      I am looking at this small beach paradise to beat the crowds and for a better drink & food selection for my upcoming cruise this fall, and it’s now $600 USD for the VIP access for up to 6 people (basically $100 USD Per Person).

      We actually ended up going to this place. It was great! We booked the Beach & Jungle package which is a lot more affordable and well worth the money ($250). I recommend this place to people looking to avoid the loud party vibe and lots of kids and are looking for an elevated food and service experience. We even had our own private car and driver to & from the resort. I did a detailed review on Google and my name matches if you look it up..

    nice video. Thanks for sharing. Would you recommend this place for a family beach day? Or would you suggest another beach/resort in Costa Maya when visiting b ship? would you go back here?

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  Рік тому +3

      Hey @PegasusFamilyTravel thank you for watching and for the kind words. My beach day recommendation would depend on the age(s) of child(ren) and what you like to do as a family on a beach day. This is an upscale beach club that serves premium drinks and food. The drinks come in glass and the food is presented like a fine restaurant. The team at Hayhu is fantastic and provide personalized service to all guests. That said, it isn't pretentious at all and you'll feel comfortable. It is about a 30 min drive from the port and it really on it's own on the beach. You'll feel like you've really got away. The beach is nice and big and the views are fantastic. That said, they don't offer beach toys for kids and if there happens to be a lot of sargassum in the area the water may not be all the appealing. I should note that if the sargassum is bad at Hayhu it will likely be bad at all beach areas in Costa Maya so don't let that sway your decision. If you're looking for an alternative that, in my mind, may be a bit more young child friendly it would be Maya Chan. I have video of that beach club on my channel as well and I'll link it below. It's a similar drive but instead of being a la carte it is all-inclusive. They offer similar amenities but they do also beach toys for children and a small pool. Check it out and let me know where you decide to go. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe. I have a lot more videos dropping soon.

    I was also going to ask about the price of the food and drinks as it seems like you pay a higher cost to visit but it doesn’t include food and drink. I was also wondering about the beach itself and if the kids could play in the sand?

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  Рік тому

      Hi Jenny, the food prices ranged depending on what you wanted but I would suggest they were very similar to restaurant pricing in the US and Canada. For example; expect to pay $15-18 USD for a burger and fries but don't go with the burger and fries. Go with something more authentic to the area. The staff will make some great suggestions. Yes, they have a nice big beach area which would be great for kids playing in the sand. The water can be a little murky due to the seaweed depending on when you're traveling but that's all of Costa Maya and not just Hayhu. I wouldn't like that deter you from going this place is awesome. Lastly, thank you for stopping by the channel and for taking the time to drop a comment/question. If you haven't subscribed already please consider it as I have some more beach bar videos coming soon.

    Your video is great. I am concerned about safety . Can you answer to that?

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  Рік тому +1

      Hi @ka8byrdie thank you for taking the time to watch my video tour of Hayhu Beach Club and for your kind words. I always hesitate when I'm asked about food and safety because those areas of so subjective. One person could easily say the food was the best they ever had while the next person could say it was terrible. That said, safety is very similar. It depends on a lot of factors, including, but not limited to the time of year you travel, levels of criminal activity in the country and in populated/tourist areas but also your own personal risk tolerance level. For me personally; I know that I'm traveling to popular tourist destinations and visit reputable beach clubs/bars so I feel safe to a degree that I'm comfortable going off on my own (or with a small group). It's not guaranteed that I'll be safe but I feel comfortable enough that I'm making a good decision for myself personally. You'll need to do your own evaluation on current conditions and your own risk tolerance level. Once you've done that you should be able to make a decision that's best for you and your traveling party. Thanks again for watching. I hope you took the time to subscribe. It's easy and free.

      Late reply, but for community members who find this vlog much later and are wondering…
      My daughter and I went. We had a great time and didn’t feel unsafe by any means. I agree with SunnySouthVacations that safety and food are subjective. The resort sends you a picture of the person you meet who will transport you to the resort and that person also messages you specific instructions. If you don’t feel comfortable with this type of arrangement this might not be for you since it’s a 25-30 minute ride that takes you through the jungle and you lose cell reception. Stay safe and have fun!

    Video is suspicious, you never actually showed the beach.

    • @SunnySouthVacations
      @SunnySouthVacations  Рік тому +2

      Hey gcmartinez, thanks for taking the time to watch my video tour of Hayhu Beach. I'm on the beach around the 6:27 mark of the video. Yes, I don't show a lot and that was by the design. The Riviera Maya area of Mexico is experiencing some challenges with sargasso seaweed. It is impacting all beaches up that eastern side of Mexico but its hit or miss sometimes. I've been there somedays and there has been lots of sargasso and other days the water is crystal clear. On this particular day the sargasso was present so I didn't want to show much as Hayhu Beach has so much more to offer than just their waterfront. If you feel like my video was suspicious I'm sorry you felt that way as it was not my intention. I appreciate you bringing it up though as others may have been wondering the same. Thanks again for watching.
