    These are great. Never heard them before. Lyadov is a deeply under-heard Composer.

      That's true. Deeply. He incredibly concentrate in his Music all the olden spirit of the Russian nation with its clear eastern influence from the Central Asia. The same Glazunov, to be discovered! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 🎉

    Thank you for uploading these gems. What a composer. What an orchestrator. Pity he was reportedly quite lazy, at least according to Rimsky and Prokofiev...

    Oh, I do enjoy Russian Romanticism, albeit in this case brief! The gloriously dramatic, beautifully orchestrated "From The Apocalypse" sounds as if it was going to be an overture or prelude to a much larger work...but that wasn't Liadov's style. Nevertheless, three lovely late works....

    I prefer his earlier work on first listen.
    This isn't my cup of tea really, although let's see.
