if the turbo breaks and you get engineoil in your intake, the diesel will "runaway" that means you cant change the rpm anymore and it will run till its dry, used up all the oil and the engine is done for ...
lad did that up our place last year but with a tw20, the turbo went, smoked like that but as it happened a red hot piece of carbon flew out exhaust and cauaght the hay on fire !

fords...never again had two TW 15 and a 20 here and then we bought Deutz dx160...the Deutz would pull the two fords in half and used half as much diesel...fords are just for shows now all restored but the Deutz is still working beside new john deeres and Fendt...never once let me down..ill take old Deutz over any tractor new or old.
Its not a car its a tractor. so don't pound on it so hard. granted tractors are stronger and can take more abuse than a vehical, tractors still have there limits so don't beat the living s*** out of them.

But you can close air filter with some thing like wearing etc
You can put your shirt or anything in the air intake and force it to shut down or un do the fuel line
