If u dont want to do all these, you can just simply go to the den its located in wolf system and sell it in the automated kiosk. There is no faction there that will scan you. You should put max points on grav if u want to escape. You can grav jump before they can fully scan you. You can also ignore them when they are contacting you and go grav jump. Make sure you put as many points in grav so it takes less time to jump.
@@RobertRvv I'm sure he did, but it's important that people know the facts also. Especially concerning Starfield, tons of misinformation (lying) on this game.

Thanks probablu the beat guide ive seen ive played the elder scrolls for year but im brand new to starfield try to role play the gangster smuggle comes with the job man thanks
What's the point of all of these skills and shielded cargo when you can sell contraband at The Key or Wolf? Kind of an oversight on Bethesda's part. There should be a vendor on all the scanned planets that will pay MORE for contraband, considering its harder to get these items on the planet
i got a ship with 4k shielded cargo and i get smuggling quest from fleet all the time you just have to make sure you finished last one or failed and failing nets you more cash as selling what you get is worth more then you are payed 90% or the time i normally load my ship will 3 million credits worth of contraband from all locations i know the go to fleet and sell it all for massive profits just before i go to new game plus as i use the cash to level or to get more skills easy to do but hard to maintain as i only have a ship with 90% evade and when it fails stealing it back from contraband box can be a pain if i have a ton of it i run 2 t3 jammers
Food and chems please! :D I'd love to see all the recipes u can get through skills items or missions and or how to set up ways to craft said item infinitatly
Wait so, they didn't even make an actual procedural smuggling system where you sell and smuggle cargo for major profit? It's just mission board quests? Dude you can't tell me that wasn't advertised way differently in the direct, what a huge letdown.
hi is there much contraband in the game / one player claims he has over 70hrs in game and only found a few contraband not worth it so can you let us know ?
its really not worth, idk what it was meant to be, but the value is just a few thousand per piece, it never sells for the listed value the item has. For instance harvested organs have a listed price of 13500. However they sell for like 1500
Yeah, not only that, you need to prep that anti-scanning cargo hold and jammers. This takes up ship mods and costs. And you need to search out a fence to goto for selling contraband. Travel time and costs. Too much bother but go ahead for roleplay purposes.
To be honest the only thing I've done to sell Contraband is make sure that I fast travel to the location on the planet I want to sell. I have never had an issue or been scanned?
Frustration is that it's never worth what it's worth. You get Contraband for 15 20 30 grand and you can only sell it for two or four. It's a f-ING lie and a waste of time.
So if I have a shielded cargo hold does it only count the Weight of the Contraband being carried or the whole capacity when talking "shielded capacity"?
For example: Whole cargo cap is 1000. Shilded cargo 200. Means max cap is 1200. You smuggel 100kg contraband. That sticks to your 200kg shiedled cargo. It will show you 50% chance to get caught while be scanned bc 100 of 200 is 50%. Always watch the mass of the contraband and check the space how much shielded cargo you have.
I know contraband is not really worth the time and effort for the low money you get, but i wonder about piracy and attacking ships and looting them compared to the bounty you get for doing that, is it actually good?
I've got a video in the works with all the credits making methods. Was testing this last night and it's not really worth it considering the time it takes to board, steal, register, sell the ship when you can missions that net more credits for less time.
@@norzza Yeah that's what I thought sadly, guess I'm going to do it a bit for the RP and not for max credits. Hopefully we get a good mod soon with nice balance changes ect.
@@anarchopupgirl Can you? I just did my first mission with them so idk much about em' yet. If you can sell ships without need for registration at the Crimson fleet that would make a nice pirate money loop
I'm having issues with this, so I have one of the missions to smuggle contraband into jemison, I have a shielded capacity of 190, a level 1 ship design jammer and level 2 deception. I have 14 xenowarfare crates and ut only weights 182. Mass. With all of this being said, I tried going to jemison and it shows me as having a 0 percent chance of clearing the scan. How is it not applying the deception perk effects or why isn't the shielded cargo working? Can anyone help me cause this is frustrating
The chance of being discovered takes into consideration the relative weight of your illegal stuff related to your hidden cargo capacity. In other words, The more hidden cargo capacity you have, the less likely is yo be discovered, even if you're actually not using allí that capacity. I have 4k hidden cargo and two scan jammers on my little glitchy smuggling ship and never ever had below 90% smuggling chance (that's the cap, btw)
My guy your weight to contraband ratio is terrible. He’s explaining that keeping your shielded capacity significantly higher than your contraband mass will harbor good results. The difference between yours is 8 😅
The contraband scan thing is so annoying. It kinda forces you to go out of your way just to play the game when you steal stuff. Everyone steals stuff in Bethesda rpgs lol
I just got once a smuggle contract from the mission board. Never again. Its annoying. In Akila City, there is a guy who can vanish your „wanted“ even when you dont have a bounty on you.
There is no smuggling in this game. Lmao its just loot that you sell and you can just take it to the wolf system for no hassle. There's no contacts, trust system, production, risk, factions. It's lame as fuck. I fully expected a fully fleshed out smuggling system in this game.
Ummmm commerce is not the main skill for contraband.. There is literally a skill for contraband. You seem to have completely missed the deception skill that gives you a higher chance to evade scans for contraband.

Ryujin is the thieves guild. This is more like a Space take or maybe replacement for the assassins guild.

The dream home trait is good for having a house you can store tons of contraband mainly to collect but can take trips to the den and they key
Really enjoyed the video liked and subscribed. Thanks for the tips
Leave Sara at home for this one
Is the crimson fleet the only place to get smuggling missions?
No you can also go to India 🇮🇳 they have a lot of smuggling stuff
You can also sell Contraband in the wolf system at the den
Do we know if you can hire "dishonest" crew/companions. Like a fully pirate style crew. Or are they all disaproving
I know right, I picked ''Empath'' trait, and Sarah disapproves every second thing I do...
Andreja turns a blind eye to certain things a lot more than Sarah, as well as Barrett. Sarah is very "nanny-state" with anything immoral.

Where do you get signal jammers? I don’t have the option for equipment in the ship builder
Red Mile and the Key.
They are not a regular module. It goes on the hard points your weapons do. There is another tab for equipment when you go to add a weapon.
You can even sell it in space where there's no space cops and make sure you look around for merchants they will buy it lol
Can’t store any of the cargo from these missions in ship cargo so it never get covered and always scanned
Ok but .. BUT all the vendors and merchants in the game dont usualy have more then 5k 5.2 if lucky. Which is frustrating me
My guess is it's tied to level as vendors have over 10k for me.
