Seems like ur the only UA-camr I watch who doesn't try to sell something to your fans like t shirts or something and I respect you tremendously for that keep it up Steve you don't just do it for money
You mentioned the Goalie Interference calls on reviews. Funny thing, last night, Alex Killorn of the Lightning had a goal ruled out for that very reason because the refs deemed Ryan Callahan to have knocked Ducks defenseman Lindholm into Gibson. Though in the replays I saw it appeared that, A) Lindholm may have tripped over Gibson's pad, and B) Lindholm backed into Callahan. It was one of 2 Tampa goals that were disallowed last night, it didn't matter in the end cause the Bolts won 2-1 thanks to Drouin and Marchessault, who probably would love to play the Ducks for the rest of the season, and Bishop.
The biggest thing on the disallowed goal is that (yes I understand Myers is right there) there was no effort AT ALL to move from the crease once he was shoved in. At some point, even if it may be difficult and almost impossible, you have to make an effort to leave the crease.
Steve. The Wild are a scary good team. As a fan of the Avs, that is not easy for me to say, but that's a simple fact. The Wild are a tough team to play against. Even when they're losing they make it hell on the team they're playing. They're relentless, big, and defensive. If the Leafs want to win, they're going to have their best game of the season. I hear Dubnyk is starting and he hasn't been so hot. After all, he is 2-3-0 in his last 5. So try and capitalize on that.
The second goal wasnt on sparks at all, he played the original shot properly and it hit the crossbar and went straight to stafford there's no way he can be in position in that situation, my goalie coach(former WHL) and I were discussing it earlier and he agree'd.
I had just finished telling so guys I was out with that "Yea the leafs are near the bottom but they have at least been fun to watch this year" then I get home it's 2-1, no biggie, then the 3rd period happened. Poor Sparks. Second game in, hanging in the wind. Sure, some questionable movement at times but guess what, it's his second game. The Defense let the whole Jets team take their best shots at him so I hold them more accountable they should have protected him better as it was only his second NHL game. I also blame the fact that I had spoken aloud that the Leafs at least try and were at the very least entertaining to watch this year. They must have heard me.
It's not early in the season anymore... the games are going to get harder to watch Phaneuf being the second leading scorer, it's time to move him. His value probably won't get much higher and we might not even have to with hold any of his contract. I've really had Phaneuf of him... his contract and the letter on his chest. #RiellyforCaptain Gardner too GONE to Colorado, Edmonton or Calgary, reunite him with Burkie. Steve you've done a playoff preview video. Do a trade rumors video, at least then the leafs will be discussed.
I can understand people bashing phaneuf for not being what he was in Calgary. But I still never get people bashing him for "he makes 7 million dollars" and "he's a terrible captain". Both of those things aren't his fault? If an organization is offering you captaincy and a huge contract, you'd be crazy not to take it.... Judge him for on ice performance, not what he makes and the letter he wears. (Ps I'm not a phaneuf fan, at all...just tired of these comments)
+Nick Lovatsis I am not a Phaneuf fan, but I agree, and really fans sitting and commenting on his leadership ability, like they have any idea what happens in that room, is amazingly ignorant to me. I criticize Phaneuf for the parts of his game we can see with our own eyes and assess, not the stuff behind closed doors that we're not privy to.
Steve big fan buuuuuuut so you know tripping isn't a stick infraction (hooking, slashing, high sticking, cross checking, butt ending, spearing) - mid AAA ref :)
A new simple truth about officiating this season, one team will get one or two power plays in the first and none the rest of the game . This has happened a few time to the Senators and I have seen it here and there around the league
I'm sure Jonathan,B could have got a shutout against the Oilers ..so it's not surprising Garret, S got a shutout first nhl game against them ..they bad
Send Dione to the minors for recycling, and bring Bernie back up to play defense. At least HE knows how to fall in front of a puck. To hell with those too-frequently unholstered ice time stats - if you aren't value added, then those minutes mean little or nothing at all. Someone is peeing in the coolaide, and I think it's the team's own captain. Mike: You are being paid to do a job on behalf of the WHOLE team, so just pull the trigger on this albatross.
Until last night then he played like a rookie. Why couldn't he tell the coach he wasn't up to snuff and sit out rather than give up a couple of goals. It seems our 'captain' is only thinking about himself not the team.
+Jim Davis (Eastern Beaver) really? You want our captain to just say "I'm not good enough so I don't wanna play"? He's playing well and if every player decided they didn't want to play when they're having an off night that would be ridiculous
Jonny Monaco He could talk to the coach about taking less time on the ice if he's not up to playing 100%, that's all I'm saying. Usually the coach sees this sort of thing and cuts back the player's shifts. But that didn't happen either.
+Jim Davis (Eastern Beaver) No. You were right the first time. Phan-Oaf needs a kick in the pants to wake him the heck up. I have lots of NHL vets for friends and they all call him "the post" because everyone skates around him. Clearly he does not want to be here. Moving him to the minors would also be a positive message to the rest of the team. I think he's the poison in the well - and needs to go elsewhere. Afterthought: Heck... Brink Bernie back up and let him play defence. He'd outplay Neon Dione any day.
"Hi I'm Nazem Kadri Bob Ross and- *Thunk*
I like this serious style critique of the game
That game reminded me of last season so much I had to check my calendar to make sure I didn't travel back in time.
Seems like ur the only UA-camr I watch who doesn't try to sell something to your fans like t shirts or something and I respect you tremendously for that keep it up Steve you don't just do it for money
the khadri Bob Ross bit is one of the greatest things ever
Who's khadri
+ChainZxNuke lel spelt it wrong oops
Drew Stafford's new nickname for the rest of his career, "Prince Ali"
+Rps2800 I was trying so hard wondering how Steve would segway into that^. Was not disappointed...
Vote John Scott into the ASG
+Evan Ritchey He's number one lol.
no this is exactly what kind of video i like to see from you. sharing this to my friends who are blaming Mr. "15 minutes of fame Sparks"

I appreciate how honest Steve is. He clearly loves the leafs and he looked legitimately hurt they played so poorly
"Prince Ali, fabulous he" needs to be in the next opening montage
That was painful, just like Beaulieu's jaw.

Bernier dumped down to the Marlies. Too funny.
Don't think Babcock can do much with this roster.

"Looks like this Spark was just a flash in the pan." - NHL headline writers, probably.
TankForMatthews
it was worth it
just noticed that the leafs only shut out this season was by garret sparks, and it may be the last
I was hoping for Steve to get really mad against "Sparkles"... I am disappointed haha
Loved this!!! So many quotable lines!!! Hahaha
Trust me, Jets fans have toruble with that name to. We just call him Hellboy and hope nobody asks for his full name.

+Chris Petts I mean it should be haha
Of course, my first Leafs game has to be their worst of the season lol
John Scott number 1
why do you rewind me of alex baldwin
A new simple truth about officiating this season, one team will get one or two power plays in the first and none the rest of the game . This has happened a few time to the Senators and I have seen it here and there around the league
I loved watching my team wipe the leafs butts that was a great game for the Jets
*sings* Make waaaaay for Prince Staffyyyyy!
Unusually calm Steve... It's so weird seeing accept a loss like this. Every video you either spaz if they win or spaz if they lose.
Moment of silence for the California shooting.
Bob Ross, 2 min for boarding.
Needs more calm dangle
Sparks only got a shutout because it was on Edmonton Oilers ..so sparks and you shouldn't. be so happy ..
so what? They average more goals per game than the Pens, the Wings and Tampa Bay. They suck because auf their defense, not because of their offense
I'm sure Jonathan,B could have got a shutout against the Oilers ..so it's not surprising Garret, S got a shutout first nhl game against them ..they bad
positive of leafs losing by a lot, get to watch steve freak out
Prince Ali hahahaha
😂 prince ali
Lmao Aladdin

Hell-e-buck
babcock should've released sparks of this awefull team/defensive-performance and should've putten reimer in.. he's more used to things like that..
Leafs are gonna lose tonight 3-2 and it will be a great effort, OR we will win because rimier plays his brain out
Send Phaneuf to the minors for conditioning?
He's actually not having a bad year
